Chapter 190 Ainsley Parker
Bianca's expression instantly turned panicked, her face deathly pale.
She clenched her fists, her face covered in cold sweat. Just then, Zachary's disbelieving voice came from behind her.
"Bianca!"
"Are you crazy?"
"You really planned all of this?"
Zachary couldn't believe that Bianca, whom he had always thought was kind and innocent, would do such a dirty thing just to push Isabella out.
Bianca's body suddenly stiffened. She turned to meet Zachary's eyes, full of anger and disappointment, and immediately panicked.
"No... that's not it!"
"Zachary, I didn't, I didn't mean to."
"Didn't mean to?" Zachary found it laughable. "What, you accidentally conspired with Abigail? Accidentally drugged Isabella? And accidentally found a man to ruin Isabella's reputation?"
Bianca froze, unable to say a word.
Zachary clenched his fists tightly. Today's events had completely shattered his worldview and everything he thought he knew about Bianca!
Zachary looked at her in despair. "Bianca, from today on, our engagement is over!"
"I could never marry a woman as vicious as you."
Like a heavy hammer coming down, Bianca stood there in shock, the whole world spinning around her.
"Zachary..."
She trembled as she tried to grab Zachary's hand, but he pushed her away and left without looking back.
Isabella's cold gaze swept over Chase and Tobias nearby.
"Do you still think your Bianca was wrongly accused?"
Facing Isabella's icy question, Chase and Tobias looked absolutely terrible.
Indigo spoke up: "Our Abigail was involved in this and should indeed be punished, but Mr. Taylor, you should really think about this - if it weren't for Bianca scheming against Isabella to win favor, our Abigail had no grudge against Isabella, so why would she do this?"
"It's not wrong to say this whole thing was caused by Bianca."
"So if Mr. Taylor insists on taking Abigail away, then have the police take both Bianca and Abigail. The Rodriguez family has absolutely no objection."
Hayden's expression changed. He looked at Abigail, then at Bianca, and slapped Bianca across the face.
"You idiot!"
"Look what you've done!"
"Are you insane, Bianca? Isabella is your sister - how could you do this to her?"
Her usual little schemes were one thing, but he never imagined Bianca could do something so outrageous.
The slap left Bianca dazed for two seconds, her face stinging with pain.
With so many eyes on her like daggers in her back, Bianca covered her face as the world spun around her.
"You've completely humiliated me!" Hayden pointed at Bianca, wishing he could strangle her on the spot.
If something had really happened to Isabella, how could he hope for Isabella to marry into one of the four great families and help the Taylor family rise to success?
Hayden raised his hand to hit Bianca again, but remembering there were people watching, he ultimately couldn't bring himself to do it.
He looked at the guests present, very embarrassed. "I'm sorry, everyone. Today has really spoiled everyone's mood. I failed to raise my daughter properly and made fools of ourselves in front of you all."
As for the police, Hayden naturally couldn't let them take Bianca away too.
"Officer, I'm sorry, this is our family matter. We're very sorry to have troubled you."
"Chase! What are you standing there for? Hurry up and take this idiot home!" After sending everyone away, Hayden's gaze swept coldly over Bianca. "Are you going to stay here and embarrass yourself further?"
Bianca felt dizzy and disoriented, her body practically dragged away by Chase.
It was over.
Everything was over.
Her image in the entire wealthy circle was completely destroyed.
——
William walked out of the banquet hall and turned the corner to see Soren waiting at the entrance.
Soren looked at him with a slight smile.
"Mr. Brown is leaving?"
William glanced at him. "You haven't left yet?"
Soren chuckled. "I was waiting for you to come out so I could say goodbye before leaving."
William couldn't help but think of the jade stone Soren had given Isabella. He paused and said, "That gemstone you gave Isabella was no less expensive than my pink diamond."
Giving Isabella such an expensive gift - what was Soren trying to do?
And when had Soren ever been so generous with anyone? Why was he so generous with Isabella? Was he trying to pursue Isabella?
Soren stroked his chin and sighed. "I gave Isabella that gemstone only because I wanted her calligraphy."
William was skeptical. "Really?"
But as far as he knew, Soren had no hobby of appreciating calligraphy.
Soren nodded. "I may not have a hobby of appreciating calligraphy, but I'm very interested in Isabella's calligraphy."
"How so?"
"To be honest, my mother's calligraphy was also very beautiful," Soren said.
Before Serenity ran away from home, Soren was still young, but he could vaguely remember the scenes of Serenity practicing calligraphy. Sometimes, Serenity would hold his hand and practice calligraphy with him.
Serenity's calligraphy style was different from most famous calligraphers, highly distinctive, with her own unique style.
So when he saw Isabella's calligraphy during the live broadcast of the calligraphy competition, his attention was immediately drawn to it.
Because Isabella's calligraphy style was so similar to Serenity's!
"Isabella's calligraphy makes me very curious. I don't know if it's a coincidence or what, but why is her calligraphy style so similar to my mother's?"
"I actually wanted to ask Isabella directly, but I felt that would be too abrupt. Besides, the images I saw during the live broadcast weren't very clear, and I wasn't sure if I was seeing things wrong. So I wanted to get Isabella to write a calligraphy piece that I could take back and examine more carefully."
"My father knows my mother best. If I show that calligraphy piece to my father, maybe he can tell if there's really a connection between Isabella's calligraphy and my mother's."
Hearing Soren's earnest explanation, William was convinced he wasn't lying.
Soren had been focused on finding his mother and sister all these years, so he probably didn't have much energy to put into his own love life.
William breathed a slight sigh of relief. "Finding someone like looking for a needle in a haystack certainly isn't easy. I'll try to help you ask Isabella who taught her calligraphy, to see if there might really be some clues."
Soren smiled. "I appreciate that."
"Don't mention it."
"By the way, you don't know my sister's name yet, do you?"
"Her name is Ainsley Parker. That's the name my brothers and I chose for her together."
