Chapter 183 The Eldest Young Master of the Parker Family Also Came
Not far away, Bianca watched William and Isabella, clenching her fists so tightly her nails dug into her palms.
Why wasn't William here for her, but for that bitch Isabella instead?
When did Isabella even meet William?
She couldn't take it anymore—she was going crazy with jealousy!
"Thank you, Mr. Brown, for bringing such an expensive gift for our Isabella!"
Hayden stood nearby, grinning from ear to ear.
There had been so many surprises today.
First Sophia came, and now William from the Brown family showed up too.
He had this feeling that the Taylor family was about to hit it big.
William personally came all this way for Isabella and even brought pink diamonds that girls love most—the meaning behind this was crystal clear.
If Isabella could really catch William's eye, it would be a blessing for the Taylor family!
Once Isabella married into the Brown family, with their support, the Taylor family's prosperity would be just around the corner!
He had really underestimated Isabella.
Hayden was lost in fantasies about the Taylor family's bright future when Yves rushed in, his face full of panic. "Mr. Taylor! Someone's... someone's here!"
"Who's here?" Hayden asked.
"It's the Parker family. Mr. Parker is here, saying he's come to wish Ms. Taylor a happy birthday!"
At these words, everyone in the room gasped.
The Parker family—the eldest son of the Parker family, one of the four major families, was here too?
The surprises today just kept coming, one after another, catching everyone off guard.
Hayden almost thought he'd misheard, but before he could think much about it, he quickly said to William, "Mr. Brown, we have a guest arriving. I need to go greet them. I've had someone prepare the finest wine for you—please enjoy."
As soon as he left, the guests started buzzing with discussion.
"What's going on?"
"Someone from the Parker family actually came too."
"That means two of the four major families came to celebrate Isabella's birthday."
"How did Isabella pull this off? How did she get the heirs of both the Parker family and the Brown family to come here personally for her?"
Soon Hayden led a distinguished-looking man into the banquet hall, and everyone turned to look.
"That's Soren!"
"Soren keeps just as low a profile as William. He rarely appears in public either. Who knew he'd be so young and accomplished, and so strikingly handsome too!"
His white suit made him look noble and refined. He had less of William's dark intensity, but his eyes were deep and unfathomable, making people hesitant to meet his gaze directly.
Soren's eyes swept across the banquet hall and immediately spotted the most dazzling girl in the crowd.
Soren's eyes narrowed slightly.
So this was the girl Lawrence liked?
In that moment, he seemed to understand why Lawrence would fall for her.
Soren walked toward Isabella.
"Isabella, happy birthday," he said with a smile.
Soren's smile was even more attractive than William's. His handsome features seemed to come alive with that smile, and in an instant, the wealthy young ladies present seemed to lose their hearts.
"Soren is so handsome!"
"What should I do? I want to marry him so badly!"
"How can such a perfect man exist? William and Soren—I love them both!"
"..."
Isabella looked at the man before her, and it finally dawned on her what Lawrence had told her on Facebook yesterday.
Lawrence had prepared a gift for her and would have someone bring it to her.
So the person Lawrence asked was Soren?
Isabella snapped out of it and responded politely, "Thank you, Soren. It's an honor to have you here."
Soren chuckled softly.
Isabella was quite polite.
The next second, Soren's gaze fell on the man beside her, and he looked surprised. "William? What are you doing here?"
Running into William here was the last thing he'd expected.
William looked at Soren with the same confusion in his eyes.
He was curious too—why would Soren come?
William raised an eyebrow. "Ms. Taylor once saved my Sophia's life. She's a benefactor to the Brown family. Of course I'd come to her birthday."
"Saved her life?" Soren thought for a moment. "Mr. Brown, are you talking about the time Sophia was almost kidnapped?"
"Yes." William nodded. "The person who ran into the kidnappers at the elevator door that day and saved Sophia from them was Isabella."
At these words, everyone suddenly understood.
Although no concrete information had been released about Sophia's near-kidnapping over six months ago, quite a few people had heard about it.
"So Isabella was the one who saved Sophia back then!"
"No wonder Sophia and William came and brought such expensive gifts."
"..."
Now all their questions had answers.
"So why are you here?" William's gaze fell on Soren.
How come he didn't know Soren had any connection with his Isabella?
For some reason, when William looked at him, Soren felt a chill in his gaze.
He cleared his throat lightly and smiled. "To be honest, I came here today because I need a favor from Ms. Taylor."
"I heard from Cillian at the Calligraphy Association that Isabella's calligraphy is excellent, so I wanted to ask her to write something for me."
He'd thought of this excuse before coming—it wouldn't expose Lawrence and Isabella's relationship to everyone, and it reasonably explained why he'd come.
Sure enough, when he said this, the people around them looked enlightened.
"So Soren came because of Isabella's calligraphy!"
"Isabella's calligraphy is good enough to bring Soren here personally."
"This Isabella is really something. She's been back with the Taylor family for less than a year and already has connections with both the Parker family and the Brown family."
"The Taylor family's daughter is truly outstanding."
"..."
Standing at the back of the crowd, Bianca watched Isabella surrounded by two distinguished men like the moon surrounded by stars. The jealousy in her heart spread like vines, and her face gradually twisted.
Everyone was praising Isabella. These words of praise cut into her heart like knives.
She looked at the smile on Isabella's face and wanted nothing more than to go over and tear her face apart.
Isabella, what are you so proud of?
In a moment, she'd show everyone whether Isabella was really better, or if she was superior.
The banquet was nearing its end when the music in the ballroom stopped. A waiter in a tailcoat walked to the center of the dance floor with a microphone and announced:
"On this joyous day, one of our guests of honor, Bianca, has carefully prepared a gift for everyone."
"Now, let's give a round of applause for Bianca's piano performance—'Tassel'!"
