“Are you going to stay in there the whole day?” she asked Samantha as they ate.
“Yeah, now that I have gotten some time to relax, watch, and catch up with the latest movies, actors and actresses, the directors and producers, I have to do it to perfection. And you, are you studying in your room?” Samantha asked, startling Scarlet, as she had even forgotten that she was going to do an exam tomorrow.
When Samantha saw her face, she instantly knew the latter had forgotten and chuckled. “Well, I am sure that if any of your uncles were to talk to the school, they would agree to let you in without an exam. After all, not everyone does an exam to be enrolled there,” Samantha said, making Scarlet shake her head.
“That will only be giving Ann a chance to say something about me. I can’t let her have her chance,” Scarlet said.
“Oh? Didn’t your father spend money in the past to get her and her brother in? Why does she think she is now special? Unlike you, who was born in a city, she was born in the countryside. She shouldn’t forget her origin, even though she attends an elite high school, right? Samantha said, making Scarlet chuckle.
“If there is a need, let your uncles use their connections. Let Ann know that even if your father couldn’t, others could,” she added.
“She will start claiming that it was the Coles,” Scarlet argued.
“Even better. If she dares to spread any rumor, then your aunt will be here to defend you, while your uncles won’t be. Actually, if I am not mistaken, Aunt must have talked to the school. You may not know, but the Coles are the biggest shareholders in the school. Your father just managed to get one percent, and Ann keeps telling her classmates that her father is a shareholder. Just a percent, is it enough for her to floss about? My family has five, and Brooke’s has seven. If any of us were to talk to the school, they would agree, as we have a say in the board, unlike her father,” Samantha said, seeming to forget that Ann’s father was also Scarlet’s.

“I think they will take me to school tomorrow. We will see what will happen tomorrow. As for you, keep working on your skills. I might open a studio for you,” Scarlet said as she winked at the latter.
However, inwardly, she was thinking of a totally different thing. How to get her uncle Santino’s company’s shares, then convince him to open a branch in the country. Just as this thought had emerged in her head, she shook her head, thinking that it wasn’t good to depend on her family, thus she could open hers.
“Get ready, we are going outside,” she said when she recalled something.
In her past life, a film called Infinite had topped. Most of the people who acted had won countless rewards, and they got a lot of fame. She had watched the film and had a good impression of it. One day, the director was seen in the nearby park. When asked, she said that she always went there when she was free. She wanted them to go and try their luck.

“Where are we going?” Samantha asked as she stood up.
“Just on a walk in the park,” Scarlet said, making Samantha nod.
“Then there is no need to get ready. Our attire is okay for going there, right?” Samantha asked, causing Scarlet to look at her.
Her uncles had ordered a lot of clothes for the girls when they heard that they didn’t have anything. The two were currently wearing grey sweatpants and the other black. Samantha had a white tanktop and Scarlet a red one. They were all from the same brand. There were no logos in them as they were from Martin’s company, and he knew what Scarlet loved, being low-key. However, Scarlet had seen some logos inside and knew that some clothes were from the Singh's Clothing Company.
“Shoes,” Scarlet said, and they walked to Scarlet’s room.
Scarlet wore a Jordan sneakers and Samantha a Nike sneakers. Samantha took a small handbag from LV, making Scarlet roll her eyes. They all made her feel like she wasn’t ladylike at all.
When they reached the park, they walked around as they talked, looking at what the other people were doing, discussing, and laughing. They attracted attention everywhere they went as they were beautiful. Also, Scarlet was a mixed-race person, so pretty, and they only saw such people on TV.
“Meeow,” they had a cat crying, making the halt and walk towards the bush. They weren’t idle, but they felt that since the sound was coming from the bush, there must be something happening.
They saw a white cat lying on the ground, but its body was covered with thorny stems.
“Oh, baby. Let me get you out,” Samantha said as she handed her handbag to Scarlet and squatted. She started getting the thorns away from the cat one by one and sometimes got pickled, but she didn’t care at all. After ten minutes, they were done.
“We should look whether there is anyone who has lost their cat,” Scarlet said, though she thought the cat looked so familiar.
Since a lot of people had been staring at them, their actions were captured by those around them, causing murmurs all over.
“Yes, there is. She went that way, she is a brown trenchcoat, her hair is blonde,” someone said, making the girls look at her.
“Okay, thank you so much,” Samantha said as she reached out to the cat and carried it. They then walked to the west, the direction they had been told.
“Excuse me, have you seen a white cat with a red pendant on the neck?” they heard a woman asking a passerby.
“It’s the one. Excuse me,” Samantha shouted, attracting the people’s attention.
“Is this your cat?” she asked when she saw them looking at her.
“She is the one. She has the same description as we had been told,” Scarlet said, though she was in turmoil inside. She couldn’t believe that they had such luck. They had encountered the person they had come for immediately they got there.
“Kikky,” the woman said happily as she ran towards Samantha. Samantha placed the cat on the ground, and it also ran to its owner as it meowed.
“Miss, thank you,” the woman said as she looked at both Scarlet and Samantha.
“It’s okay. Though she needs to be taken to the vet, she has been pickled a lot and needs to be checked,” Samantha said with a smile on her face, which caused the woman to smile back.
“Still, I need to thank you for saving her,” the woman said as she glanced at the two before turning to her cat.
“Well, let’s first take her to the vet, then we will talk the rest later on, okay?” Scarlet spoke, making the woman stare at her. Though she wanted to say something, she just nodded her head, agreeing to the proposal.
The veterinary clinic was just a ten-minute walk. They walked as they talked about cats. Scarlet was surprised that Samantha knew so much about cats.
“Is she your sister?” the woman asked Samantha cause they were wearing the same outfits but different colors. However, she had her doubts cause they didn’t resemble each other at all.
“Naah, one of my best friends,” Samantha replied, stunning Scarlet as she had not expected that.
“Oh, do you know me?” she asked Scarlet.
“Watched some of your movies and seen you in their posts,” Scarlet said, not denying anything stunning Samantha as she had never seen the woman in the entertainment industry.
The woman smiled when she heard Scarlet’s answer. She had guessed so, but what made her have a good impression, other than saving her cat, as there was no way the two knew it was her cat that was in the bush, was that she was honest. When she asked, she told the truth, which not a lot of people could.
“Tell me, what do you want?” she asked as she had a feeling that Scarlet was the one who made the shots, also curious what the latter would say.
“For her and one of our friends to act in your film, The Infinite,” Scarlet said, startling the two. The woman frowned and looked at Scarlet with a displeased look.
