Chapter 163
“Are you ignoring me?” Angela asked as she pointed at herself in disbelief, not expecting to get such a reaction from the man.
Lennox lifted his head and glanced at her before taking out his wallet. He then threw a card to her, which she caught.
“Is there more than fifty million dollars in here?” she asked, stunning the elders.
“What? Why do you need so much money?” her mother asked sternly. Though they were rich, they never spoiled her to that extent. They just provided her with meals and clothes, but the allowance was limited. Only Lennox and her elder brother spoiled her.
Samantha glared at Angela, causing Angela to roll her eyes at her, as she knew what Samantha was thinking.
“Aunt, we just need fifteen million, not fifty. Well, each one of us,” Samantha explained, causing the parents to stare at them.
“Why the hell do you need so much money? Do you even know our family’s net worth? We may be one of the richest families in City F, but we aren’t rich. Also, our country’s currency isn’t in dollars. If our money were to be converted into dollars, how much do you think we will have?” Mrs. Davis asked sternly as she didn’t approve of the girl's mindset.
The girls were stunned by her words. They had forgotten about that. They glanced at each other, not knowing what to do.
“Aunt, the profit is big. It will make more than sixty percent profit,” Brooke stated, startling the elders.
“Sixty percent?” Mr. Cole asked in disbelief, as if the money was counted, it was a huge amount, maybe they couldn’t even compare it to that amount.
“Right, however, we can’t earn it all at once; it will be in years, but we will be able to pay you the money in just a year. Take it as if you're loaning it to us,” Angela replied, causing the parents to glance at each other.
“Is Brianna included also?” Brianna’s mom asked as she was envious of the girls having a close relationship with Scarlet. Also, her daughter had not rushed as they had.
“Yes, Zippy and Wren are also included,” Angela replied, nodding her head.
“Just invest with them,” Lennox, who had been silent, said, causing everyone to turn to him.
“Whatever share you get, know you should give your family a certain percent, okay?” he asked the girls, who turned to each other.
“We can only give zero point five percent, so we can remain with two,” Angela replied.
“How many people are investing in this business?” Mrs. Nelson asked with a frown.
“Scarlet’s brothers, cousins, and Aunt Sophia. Scarlet told them that she wanted to include her friends. They have already gotten the money, and we are soon going to purchase the property. That is why we rushed here the moment we woke up,” Samantha explained.
“I guess Brianna had also forgotten that we are paying in dollars, and she thinks she has all the money; we will remind her later on,” Brooke said with a frown as she thought of Brianna.
“There is fifty million on that card, go use it. Your parents will pay me later on,” Lennox said as he just wanted them out of his sight, knowing that they would continue nagging endlessly, and their families might refuse to give them such an amount.
“Thank you, Uncle Lennox.” Both Samantha and Brooke thanked him while Angela grinned at her uncle.
“That’s why you are the best, and I love you so much,” she stated.
“Yeah, yeah. I know, you don’t need to keep saying that. Now scram,” Lennox said, causing Angela to stick out her tongue before dragging her friends upstairs.
“Lennox, why did you give them such an amount?” Mrs. Nelson asked with a frown on her face.
“Right, they shouldn’t have so much money in their hands. Also, what if they lose that money?” Mr. Davis asked.
“If they lose, then we should be ready to lose our positions in the city. After all, we have to pay Lennox what he has given our children,” Mrs. Davis asked.
Mrs. Cole just stared at his brother, knowing that he wouldn’t allow them to invest in something he had not investigated. He felt assured.
“I am very serious about what they are doing. Also, about that money, we will sign contracts later, and you can decide whether to pay in full or slowly. As for them losing money, they won’t, as I heard from Arthur yesterday. It is a very profitable business. The jewels, selling gemstones to companies. As they said, the profit is so high. They can even make more than a billion with just that two percent they will hold,” Lennox stated, stunning everyone.
“A billion what?” Mr. Cole asked in disbelief.
“A billion dollars,” Lennox replied.
They glanced at each other and sighed. They trusted in him. Also, they believed that the Singh elders would let the youngsters invest in something risky.
“Have you guys gotten connections or projects from people here?” Lennox asked as he suddenly recalled something.
“Yes. Some people want to reach Scarlet and the others, but since they can’t go straight to the Singhs, they approached us. We asked Old Mr. Singh and stated that we should agree to the projects that seem profitable and pretend not to know what they want,” Mr. Davis said, causing Lennox to nod in understanding.
“Then, since we are leaving tomorrow, shouldn’t you discuss those projects and sign the contracts needed? After we go back, we will likely all be busy with work after being here for a week,” Lennox replied.
“We planned on doing that. We just wanted to see what the girls are up to,” Mr. Cole replied.
“This trip, it has been of benefit to us all, and we are relying on Scarlet to get those connections. We should always trust her well, as our daughter. Also, with everything that happened, I feel that we will have to be careful when we go back, as she will be targeted by many,” Mrs. Cole stated with a frown as she had been thinking about that.
“No need to overthink things. We will deal with whatever comes when it does. For now, let us live freely and work hard.”
