Chapter 75 Divorce
Seeing people joking around, I quietly left the group chat.
These matters should be left for John's family to handle themselves. Such a huge scandal - I don't want to get involved.
Seeing me close my phone, Quincy asked, "What do we do next?"
"Let's go back. There's probably chaos at home right now, and I want to be there to watch the drama unfold."
"Alright!"
Quincy agreed and drove me straight home.
Before I even got out of the car, Knox called.
"Helena, what's going on with that video in the group?"
That's when I remembered Knox was also in that group.
I said, "I don't know either. Someone told me about it, so I joined the chat. But I haven't seen the video you're talking about yet. Why don't you send it to me?"
Hearing this, Knox sighed, "Forget it, it's nothing good. You shouldn't watch it."
I responded, "Well, I should head home now. With something this big happening, Dad and Mom must be worried. Let's talk later."
I hung up right away, gave a cold laugh, and said to Quincy, "See? The real drama is just beginning."
"Natasha will definitely go crying to Knox, and Serenity will surely take advantage of the situation."
Hearing there would be drama, Quincy got even more excited. She rubbed her hands together, "Don't leave me out of the fun! You can't watch it all by yourself."
Her words made me laugh.
Willow's family was in complete chaos, yet Quincy was only concerned about whether she could watch the drama.
I shook my head with a smile, "Don't worry. I'm heading back now. If anything happens, I'll contact you directly."
"Great, I'll wait for your call."
Quincy stopped the car and waved at me.
When I got home, I saw the lights were still on in the first-floor living room. Sure enough, I found Henry looking gloomy.
I pretended not to know anything. "Dad, someone just told me something."
Maria waved her hand, "Don't say it, we already know."
She sighed, "What a mess this is. Your wedding is coming up, and our family keeps having one problem after another. No peace at all!"
"Mom, it's okay. This won't affect my wedding. Besides, Knox isn't the type to take it out on others."
After comforting Maria, I sat down next to Henry and asked, "Dad, has Uncle John contacted you?"
Henry shook his head, "Not yet, but probably soon."
"But this is Uncle John's family matter. Even though we're relatives, we're still outsiders. If Uncle John asks for help, Dad, what do you plan to do?"
Henry sighed, "I don't want to get involved, but I can't just watch John struggle, can I?"
"Dad, you can help if you want, but the outcome might not be good."
Henry looked at me, "I know what you're saying. I'll be careful and won't act rashly. Don't worry."
How could I not worry? If John insisted on divorcing Willow, that would be fine. But if they didn't divorce and Henry got dragged into it, it would surely make Willow resent Henry even more.
In this life, I wanted them to have no peace, not to drag our family into chaos.
With this in mind, I became more determined to keep a close eye on Henry during this time.
I said, "If Uncle John asks you to come over, Dad, you must take me with you. Maybe I can help mediate."
"Okay."
Henry agreed immediately, "Don't worry, I'll take you. It's getting late, go upstairs and sleep."
"Okay."
I nodded and went upstairs, sleeping soundly through the night. The next morning, I was woken by noise downstairs.
"Uncle Henry, only you can save my mom! If you don't go, my dad will definitely beat her to death!"
From the crying, I recognized Natasha's voice.
My expression turned cold. Why was Natasha here again? Why didn't Peter stop her?
Afraid that Henry might soften and fall for Natasha's trick, I quickly changed and went downstairs.
When I reached the first floor, I saw Natasha pulling Henry toward the door. Seeing this, I quickly called out, "Dad."
"Helena, you're awake? I'm going to the hospital with Natasha."
Before Henry could finish, I said directly, "I'm coming with you!"
I walked over and said, "Let's go."
Natasha was extremely anxious. Normally, seeing me being so eager, she would definitely make some sarcastic remarks. But today she just kept urging Henry to hurry to the hospital.
Soon, we arrived at the hospital.
Willow was in a premium ward. The entire floor had few patients and even fewer medical staff.
When we arrived, we heard crashing sounds from the doorway.
"I don't want to live anymore!"
"Don't stop anyone, let her die, right now!"
Hearing this voice, Natasha quickly opened the door and rushed in.
When we entered together, we saw Willow standing by the window, trying to jump out.
Peter, Serenity, and others were desperately holding onto her clothes, trying to talk her down.
"Mom, you can't think like this! If something happens to you, what will Ivan and I do?"
Natasha grabbed Willow's clothes, pleading desperately.
"Natasha, your dad has driven me to this! I might as well die!"
Willow tried to jump again, scaring Natasha to death.
She held onto Willow's legs tightly, "Mom, if you don't come down, I won't live either! If you dare jump, I'll jump too!"
"Poor Natasha!"
Hearing this, Willow burst into tears.
Seeing this, Henry stepped forward to persuade her, "Alright, Willow, come down. The kids are all watching. It won't look good if this continues."
With Henry giving her a way to save face, Willow wiped her tears and came down from the windowsill with Natasha's help.
John looked at Willow with dissatisfaction, "Divorce. We're getting divorced today, no matter what, so I don't have to be embarrassed anymore!"
Hearing John's words, Willow didn't dare respond, just kept crying.
"Dad, look at Mom's condition. Can we wait until she's out of the hospital to discuss divorce?"
"No!"
John pointed at Willow furiously, "Willow has completely ruined the Lockwood family's reputation. We must divorce today, or she can wait to be thrown out!"
Seeing John insisting on divorce, Willow got truly angry.
"I won't divorce! I went to find male escorts because you're not capable, John. I was trying to protect your dignity by not saying it, but since you're forcing me, don't blame me!"
