Chapter 72: Quite Familiar
"You!"
With the wall right behind me, I was so scared that I pressed myself flat against it, frowning at the man. "What are you doing? I'm not interested in drinking with you!"
"Not interested in drinking with me, but interested in ordering male escorts to drink with you!"
The man's words made me extremely uncomfortable. I frowned and said, "Sir, if you don't move aside, I'm going to call the police."
"Call the police?"
The man smiled at my words, his hand reaching up to stroke my cheek.
"Miss, do you want everyone outside to know that you, a daughter of the Lockwood family, came to a place like this?"
His words shocked me. I quickly looked up at him carefully. "Who exactly are you?"
"Someone who's been thinking about you constantly."
As he spoke, the man lowered his head, trying to kiss me.
I was horrified and raised my hand to remove his mask. The man just smiled without saying anything, dodging away, then said in that casual tone, "Helena, since when did you become so forward?"
With those words, I immediately knew who he was.
"Atlas, what are you doing here?"
"You figured it out so quickly. Clearly, you still have me in your heart."
As Atlas spoke, he removed his mask. It really was him!
How could he be here?
You have to understand, this place was where wealthy women came to have fun. Everyone who came here was a woman. How could Atlas, a man, appear here?
I suppressed my panic and frowned, asking, "What are you doing here?"
"What are you thinking?"
He reached out and tapped my nose. "This place is owned by a good friend of mine. I just came to see him about something. I saw you when you and your friend got out of the car earlier."
Hearing his words, I was instantly embarrassed.
So all my actions had been under his nose. Good thing I hadn't done anything inappropriate.
I said somewhat uncomfortably, "Don't get the wrong idea. Quincy and I came here for legitimate business, not to do anything shady."
"This is what you call legitimate business?"
As he spoke, Atlas gestured for me to look at our seats. I followed his gaze, and my face immediately turned red.
The man beside Quincy had already started hand-feeding her fruit.
Seeing this, I still stubbornly said, "What's the big deal? Didn't you see someone doing mouth-to-mouth earlier?"
"Is that so?"
After I said this, Atlas laughed.
"I didn't know you observed things so carefully. How about we try it too? Don't worry, my service won't disappoint."
"Pervert!"
I pushed him away.
"I need to go back. If I'm any later, my friend will come looking for me."
"Don't worry, your friend is having a great time. She probably won't even think of you."
He followed behind me at a leisurely pace. When I got back to my seat, Quincy already had two men on either side of her.
The three of them were playing dice and drinking games, having a wonderful time.
The moment she saw me, Quincy looked up. "Why did it take you so long to use the bathroom? Did you meet a hot guy?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Atlas leaned in from behind me, directly wrapping his arm around my waist. "Miss, you're quite the joker, but your friend did indeed meet a handsome guy."
"No way."
Atlas's action shocked Quincy so much that she dropped her glass.
She looked at me in horror. "What's going on? You just came to a bar and ended up hooking up with someone?"
"Stop talking nonsense."
I pushed Atlas's hand away and sat down. "This is my friend."
"Friend? Male? Boyfriend?"
Quincy's eyes lit up as she looked Atlas up and down. "Where did you find this boyfriend? He looks pretty good. Can I touch him?"
As Quincy spoke, she reached out to feel Atlas's abs.
Atlas probably had never met a woman as direct as Quincy. He didn't even react before Quincy had copped a feel.
"Damn, he actually has abs!"
The moment Quincy pulled her hand back, Atlas finally came to his senses.
He quickly moved closer to me, complaining, "Can you please control your friend?"
Hearing this, I burst out laughing.
"I never thought I'd see the day you'd be scared."
"That's not fair."
Atlas pouted. "I don't want to have any relationship with women other than you. Not even physical contact."
"Alright, I know you're pure as snow. Happy now?"
I smiled and looked up to check on Willow, who was still dancing with that man. Only then did I relax.
We'd already had two bottles of wine and eaten quite a bit of fruit. It was already late at night, but Willow still showed no signs of leaving.
I looked at Atlas wearily. "Do you have a place to rest here?"
Hearing this, Atlas's eyes darkened. He said to me, "Are you inviting me to rest together?"
"What are you thinking?"
I leaned close to his ear and whispered, "I'm monitoring someone, but she's not leaving. I'm wondering if she's planning to rest here."
After I finished, Atlas breathed a sigh of relief. "I misunderstood. I was wondering when my Helena became so forward. But who's worth you personally monitoring?"
"Willow, Natasha's mother."
After I said this, Atlas's eyes widened instantly.
"Her? Does your uncle know she's here?"
Hearing him suddenly raise his voice, I quickly signaled him to keep it down.
I carefully glanced at Willow in the distance. Seeing that I hadn't disturbed her, I breathed a sigh of relief. "Keep your voice down. What are you doing? Do you think John would know about Willow doing something like this?"
Atlas laughed at my words and nodded. "Right, right, my mistake."
Then he leaned close to my ear and whispered, "So tell me, which one is Willow?"
As our bodies drew closer, his warm breath circled around my ear.
My ear started to tingle, and a familiar masculine scent instantly surrounded me.
My ears turned red, and I quickly pulled away. "The woman in the dress."
Atlas looked up and clicked his tongue. "I didn't expect Willow to maintain such a good figure at her age. No wonder she can hook young handsome guys."
After hearing this, I glared at him hard. "Shut up."
"Okay, okay, I'll stop talking!"
I looked up and saw Quincy across from me, watching me with a knowing look.
My face immediately turned red. I knew Quincy had misunderstood. I quickly waved my hands. "Don't overthink it. He and I are just close friends."
