Chapter 160: Means of Counterattack

Chapter 161: Let's Go, Watch the Fun!

"These reporters have really gone too far. How can they just make up stories like that!"

Just as I reached the stairs, I heard Maria complaining.

I knew Maria must have already seen those reports.

I spoke up, "Don't pay attention to them. Let them make noise for a few days. Once the attention dies down, everything will be fine."

"How can that be okay? These false reports are affecting you!"

Maria pointed at something on her phone, "Look at this, what do they mean you bullied Natasha? The articles they write are so irresponsible!"

Seeing Maria so angry, I shook my head and smiled, "These reporters will dig into anything and exaggerate everything. Otherwise, no one would read their stuff."

I took her phone and closed the browser, "Alright, stop looking at it."

Seeing me like this, Maria huffed, "These people are really too much, and Natasha too - what is she trying to do?"

I didn't tell Maria what Natasha had said at the venue. Telling her would only make her more upset.

After thinking for a moment, I said, "Whatever she's trying to do, we'll respond flexibly and let her make her moves."

I comforted Maria for a while longer before getting up to go to the company.

Of course, this matter wouldn't end here!

The war between Natasha and me had just begun. Natasha deliberately wanted to embarrass me - well then, I'd let her taste embarrassment too!

Back at the company, I closed my office door and dialed a number I hadn't contacted in a long time.

"How are you doing?"

Heath on the other end sounded unusually excited, "Ms. Lockwood, finally hearing from you again! Do you need me to do something?"

"Yes, I need you to take the video to Knox's company and make a scene. The bigger the commotion, the better. Play the video on loop if possible. I'll arrange for reporters to coordinate with your action. If you get caught afterward, you know what to do, right?"

Heath said, "I know, I know. My body won't last much longer anyway. Before I die, if I can drag Knox down to hell with me and do something for Ms. Lockwood, it'll be worth it!"

"Ms. Lockwood, I'll be there at one o'clock sharp this afternoon. Just wait for my good news."

"Good!"

After that, I hung up.

Heath was the man who attacked me at the hotel back then.

He used to be Knox's driver. Later, after getting sick, Knox fired him directly. He followed Knox to the hotel, but couldn't find Knox himself, so he recognized me and attacked me instead.

Heath was caught by Atlas at the hotel. We originally planned to kick him out of Starwave City, but after learning about his family situation, I chose to keep him around.

For over a year, I've been paying for Heath's medical treatment and his wife and children's living expenses.

A month ago, Heath called me saying he was terminally ill and didn't want me to waste more money on his treatment. But his dying wish was to help me do something, which led to today's arrangement.

Neither Knox nor Natasha would escape!

After hanging up, I called the PR department and had them find some reporters to stake out in front of the Pemberton Group building, telling them there would be big breaking news in the afternoon.

Hearing this, the PR department rushed to make arrangements.

After everything was arranged, I finally breathed a sigh of relief.

What a shame I couldn't go see it in person.

After thinking about it, I called Atlas, "There's going to be something interesting at the Pemberton Group at one o'clock this afternoon. I want to go watch. Will you come?"

"Of course!"

Atlas on the phone immediately agreed, "I know a place where we can see the Pemberton Group's first-floor lobby, and the view is perfect. I'll take you there."

Hearing this, I smiled. Living with someone on the same wavelength is just wonderful.

One look from you, and he immediately understands what you want to do. This feeling is amazing.

After hanging up, I packed up and went downstairs. Just as I reached the parking lot, Atlas's car slowly pulled up.

This time he had switched to a bold Mercedes G63. Getting in the car, I laughed, "Why so flashy? What if we get recognized?"

Atlas said carelessly, "If we get recognized, so what? We're not the ones being watched today anyway, so what's there to worry about!"

I smiled, "How do you know Knox is going to be watched today?"

Atlas looked back at me with a wicked grin, "Isn't that the case?"

"You specifically called me to come watch the show together. Isn't it to see Knox make a fool of himself? Don't tell me there's someone else."

"Of course there is."

I said cheerfully, "There's also Natasha. How could you forget her?"

"Right, these two people's scandal - I really need to watch this carefully today."

As Atlas spoke, he pressed hard on the gas pedal, and the car sped off.

Soon the car stopped across from the Pemberton Group.

Opening the door, Atlas reached out his hand to me, "Come on."

I held his hand and hopped down from the car, looking at the five-story building in front of me, "What is this place? I don't think I've been here before."

"This is also my property. It's currently rented out to others, but I kept an office on the fifth floor for myself. Come on, I'll take you up to see."

Atlas said this while pulling my hand toward the building. When we got upstairs, he opened the door, and a simply decorated office appeared before me.

The interior was simple, with black and white as the main colors. The cold marble desk surface was very clean, showing that people came here often.

I looked around and walked to the huge floor-to-ceiling window opposite. At a glance, the first floor of the Pemberton Group was in full view.

"Do you often work here?"

Hearing my question, Atlas nodded slightly, "Yes, when I have some private work, I bring it here to do."

After saying this, he produced a telescope like magic.

After setting up the telescope, Atlas clapped his hands and gestured to me, "Take a look."

I smiled and leaned over. I have to say, looking through the telescope was much clearer. Even the receptionist's every move at the Pemberton Group could be observed in detail.

This was thanks to the Pemberton Group's first floor being all glass construction with no obstructions.

Otherwise, it really would be hard to see.

"Alright, everything's ready. Now we just wait for the show to start."

Atlas said this while pushing over a sofa, gesturing for me to sit down and rest for a bit.

As soon as I sat down, he grinned mischievously, "Want some champagne to celebrate in advance?"

I nodded happily, "Sure, champagne is the perfect match for today's entertainment."

"Wait a moment, coming right up!"

Atlas snapped his fingers, stood up, opened a cabinet door, took out glasses and champagne, poured two glasses, and handed one over.

"Helena, I'm honored to watch Knox's scandal with you today. I hope you enjoy it!"

He lightly clinked glasses, "Cheers!"
