Chapter 8 Questions
Mira shook her head. She had no idea what to do with Luna Rosie anymore. “I dunno…”
“See…you don’t know. If you refuse to accept my offer, it’s up to you. I just happened to hear your heartfelt plea and I am here to offer you my help but it seems you don’t need my help. So I should take leave now.”
“No wait! Please don’t leave yet. If you are really willing to help me then there is one thing you can do for me…” she said in a pleading tone.
“What is it? Speak…” he said.
Mira no longer hesitates. Desperate times need desperate measures. “I…I want you to transfer Luna Rosie’s soul to another body in a far away place, if possible in another country so she can no longer return here and claim her body back. Can you do it for me, please?” she begged, as if her life depended on it.
Sebastian grinned. “You're such an evil person, aren’t you?”
She glared at him. “I’m not an evil person. I’m just fighting for my happiness. Am I wrong?”
Sebastian shakes his head. “I’m sorry, dear. I can’t help you this time. My offer still stands. Every minute and every second people die everywhere. I can always transfer you into anyone’s body. It should be my way, not your way. I call the shots here, not you. You can only agree to my offer.”
“What if I don’t take your offer? What’s going to happen?” she asked anxiously.
Sebastian warned her. “You are on your own. I cannot help you. In the days to come, you are going to encounter lots of problems because of Luna Rosie’s eagerness to expose the truth. So ready yourself in advance.”
Mira sighed heavily. What is she going to do now?
“Um, can I think about this for a few days? It’s my happiness that is at stake here,” she asked for consideration due to the difficulty of her situation.
“OK. Take your time. Just call my name if you have already decided to switch to another body. But don’t ever call me if you haven't decided yet. Don’t waste my time. I’m a very busy guy,” he said.
“OK. But can I ask you a few questions? Pretty please?” She smiled sweetly.
“Go ahead, I will only answer four questions. What is the first question?”
“Um, are you the messenger of God sent to help me?” she asked.
“I prefer not to answer your question,” he replied. “Next question…”
“Are you always near me? Can I call you at anytime to ask for help?”
Sebastian shook his head. “No. You can’t call me just because you want to ask me nonsense questions. Call my name if you agree with my offer. I’m a busy guy and I don't have time for chitchat.”
Mira was greatly disappointed in his reply. She thought God had sent Sebastian to help her but she was wrong.
“Hurry up. You only have two more questions left,” he reminded her.
“Please tell me… if I die again, how many times can I be reborn in other people’s bodies?” she inquired, wanting to know how many years left in her life before the final curtain finally falls and she will be gone forever never to be reborn again.
“You are asking questions that you have no right to know. Anyway, give me your last question,” he said.
“Are all dead people given a chance to be reborn again?” she asked.
“No. Not everyone is given a chance to be reborn again,” he answered.
“Ah I see…um…can I have one last question please?”
He shook his head. “No. Your time is up, it's time for me to go.”
“Wait! Please before you go, help me with Luna Rosie’s soul,” she begged one more time.
Sebastian groaned in annoyance. “You are wasting my time. Adios!” He bid her farewell.
“Wait! Don’t leave yet!” She begged him to stay a little bit longer because she believed he could help her with her problem.
But Sebastian the shaman already disappeared, gone with the wind in the blink of an eye.
Now she was left alone to figure out how to solve her problem with Luna Rosie.
She took a deep breath and thought hard about her mysterious visitor today. Sebastian, who claimed he was a shaman, showed himself to her, offering his help.
Unfortunately they can’t agree on one thing. They have different ways of solving her problem.
The world is indeed filled with mysterious and powerful beings and Sebastian is one of them.
He can transfer souls to another body which is difficult for an ordinary individual to process.
One thing is clear now. Sebastian is real and not a part of her imagination.
But after she was reborn in Luna Rosie’s body, she finally realized that not everyone was lucky enough to be given a chance to be reborn again.
Her being reborn was another example of the wonders of the unknown.
Then she remembered Sebastian's words. He told him that there was some glitch? Does that mean her being reborn was a glitch? A mistake that he needs to correct? Is that the reason why he immediately came to make her an offer?
Was Sebastian in-charge of the reborn department and somehow he messed up with his job and the soul switch between her and Luna Rosie happened because of his mistake?
Hmm, next time she will ask him that question if they meet again.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes to sleep. Right now she just wants to rest her troubled mind, maybe after getting a good sleep she can finally think of a better plan on how to deal with Luna Rosie.
A few minutes later…
Mira had fallen asleep for two hours straight.
When Alpha Gideon entered the room to check on his wife she was in a deep sleep. He planted a kiss on her forehead and left the room to rejoin the family meeting still happening on the 3rd floor of the mansion.
A pressing matter urgently needs his attention.
Back in the room, Mira finally woke up with a refreshed mind. She stared at the ceiling and the first thing that came to her mind was the mysterious shaman Sebastian.
Ah, she only realizes it now. Sebastian can’t transfer her soul to other people’s bodies unless she agrees, because if it’s possible he already did what needs to be done.
Then her thoughts switched to Luna Rosie.
Until now she still had no idea how to deal with her.
If Luna Rosie had a chance to talk to her husband, would Alpha Gideon believe her claim?
Dang it, she just can’t wait in the room and pretend she doesn't have a problem. She needs to do something about it.
She left the bed and fixed her appearance in front of the mirror.
She plans to go straight to the servant’s quarters to face Luna Rosie after leaving the bedroom.
