Chapter 76 Divine Intervention

Chapter 76 Divine Intervention
The following day, during night time, Alpha Gideon dropped by the bungalow house to have dinner with Mira.
After dinner the couple retired to their room and chatted about their activities during the day.
“How’s your day, babe?” he asked, caressing her baby bump while lying on the bed, cuddling up with her.
Mira smiled. “As usual I watch TV, read books, perform some stretching and help prepare dishes in the kitchen,” she replied sweetly. “How about you?” she asked.
“Spying on the bad guys. We are hunting wolf traffickers, their leaders and their contacts here and abroad." He elaborated a bit about his current mission.
“Please take care of yourself. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you during your mission,” she said worriedly, remembering the last time he injured his arms during the bloody and dangerous war against the rogue packs.
“Don’t worry I will take care of myself for you and our baby,” he said, caressing her baby bump and kissing her cheeks lovingly.
“Um, I wanted to tell you something that happened today,” she said.
“What is it?” he asked curiously.
“Luna Rosie has come again today and gave us gifts. Maternity dresses for me, blouses for Lena, sets of newborn clothes for our baby and then a box of chocolates and delicious cookies,” she said, observing his reaction.
Surprised, Alpha Gideon went silent for a moment. Then he finally spoke. “Hmm, what do you think of her intention?” he asked.
Mira shrugged. “I don't know. Maybe she is really sincere about cultivating a friendship with me. That’s the only reason I can think of right now. I don’t want to entertain bad thoughts about her true intentions because I really want the three of us to work in harmony for the sake of our baby,” she said thoughtfully.
“Me too. But if Rosie is really serious about mending her relationship with you, much better. I'm pleased by her good intentions," Alpha Gideon stated in a serious tone.
“Um, but I’m also worried that she might discover something about us and she might go ballistic again because of jealousy,” Mira said fearfully.
“Yeah, I also think the same,” he said in a pensive tone. “That’s why I will marry her soon after the bandages have been removed from her face so she no longer gets jealous of you.”
Mira smiled. “I approved the marriage with all my heart,” she said in a thrilled voice.
He grins happily. “That’s one thing I like about you because you are so open minded and you are not making things difficult for me. You understand my situation well. Thank you, babe.”
“It’s my pleasure to love you,” Mira replied sweetly, her eyes flashing in adoration.
They hugged each other and shared a passionate kiss that lasted for a few minutes.
An hour later, Alpha Gideon finally bid Mira goodbye because he was going back to the mansion to be with his wife. When he arrived at the mansion, he went straight to the bedroom upstairs on the second floor. He found his wife watching the news on TV.
She paused the TV and looked at him.
He planted a kiss on her forehead. “Have you had supper already?” he asked.
“Yes, finished already. How about you?” she asked.
"I dined with my brothers outside the house before we came here,” he lied.
“OK.” Luna Rosie resumed watching the news again and commented, “This is deeply disturbing. Two more teenage wolves are missing today? Is this true?” she asked, alarmed.
“Yeah. The cops are following some leads but they can't find them yet. They have limited evidence to begin with,” he said gloomily.
“I hope they catch those bad guys soon before any harm will befall on the kidnap victims,” she said anxiously, fearing for the lives of the young wolves if they can’t be found early.
“Me and my brothers are still working on it,” he said. “I’ll go and talk to my brothers in the meeting room about this latest kidnapping incident. Sleep early, my love. Don't wait for me.”
“OK,” Luna Rosie replied.
A few hours later.
Luna Rosie was already yawning while lying on the bed, reading a book. She put the book on the bedside table and glanced at the door. Maybe her husband was still having meetings with his brothers.
She released a deep sigh and yawned several times. She finally shut her eyes to sleep.
Alpha Gideon finally returned to the room at 11:00 and went straight to bed to sleep for the night.
The following day, the couple woke up, had breakfast together and Alpha Gideon departed from the mansion again for his mission.
Luna Rosie didn’t return to the bungalow house anymore even if she wanted because she always felt dizzy. She was afraid that she might collapse on the floor, hit her head hard on the tiles and die. She was scared to die again the second time around. She might not be reborn again.
She noted that if she stays inside the room she feels fine but if she ventures outside the mansion she feels dizzy.
She thinks of going to the hospital to have a doctor check her condition. Maybe she had an infection occurring beneath the bandages on her face.
She kept observing herself. If her condition worsens, she had no choice but to go to the hospital immediately.
Good thing her condition improved after several days and there is no need to go to the hospital. She also refrains from visiting the bungalow house to check on the girls.
Meanwhile at the bungalow house, Mira and Lena were relieved that Luna Rosie finally stopped giving them surprise visits that never fail to give them anxiety.
…
One month later.
Two days before Luna Rosie was about to go back to the hospital to have the bandage removed from her face, she suddenly felt itchy all over her face. Unfortunately she couldn't scratch the skin on her face because her face was still covered with bandages.
Dammit, it’s so itchy she can’t help herself.
The itching was too much, she could no longer bear it!
She grabbed a scissors, went to the dressing table and began carefully cutting the bandages covering her face.
It took her a few minutes to remove all the bandages from her face. Surprisingly the itching disappeared completely after the skin on her face was exposed to the air. When she looked at her face in the mirror, she was shocked.
What she saw in the mirror blew her mind away. Her mouth dropped to the floor.
Her face!
Wow, her face!
She couldn't believe it!
How did it happen?
The unbearable itching she had felt earlier. It felt like her very own skin had ordered her to remove the bandages because there was no need for them anymore.
She stared at her face for a long time. This is simply incredible! It looks like a work of magic.
The skin on her face was flawless, no need to apply ointment to it.
Wow, even though Mira’s face is not comparable to the beauty of her original face, it’s not exactly ugly. Mira’s face without a scar is pretty.
Great!
She no longer has to wear a veil every day. And finally her marriage to her husband can finally take place at the soonest possible time.
Her heart leapt with joy. She could now leave the mansion without hiding her face. The scars were completely gone and no sign of surgery at all!
She grabbed her phone and took a close-up photo of her face and sent it to her husband. Then she sent the same pic to her surgeon, Dr. Smith. After she finished sending her pic, she put her phone down on the table and picked up the discarded bandages and dumped them into the trash can. Then she went to the bathroom to take care of the call of nature.
After emerging from the bathroom door, her phone starts ringing. When she checked the caller, it was her surgeon.
“Hello, Dr. Smith…”
“Mira, the face on the pic you sent me, is that your face?” Dr. Smith asked.
“Yes, it’s exactly my face.”
“But why did you remove the bandages from your face? You are not authorized to remove them. I was supposed to be the one removing that when we meet each other a few days from now. Why did you remove the bandages without my permission?” Dr. Smith asked, annoyed.
“Doc, please listen to me first before you scold me. The reason why I removed the bandages from my face was because my face felt so itchy. I wanted to scratch my face severely. The itching was so unbearable that I had no choice but to remove the bandages. After removing the bandages, the itching on my face disappeared. I hope you understand the reason why I did it,” she explained, not remorseful at all.
“But your reasoning is not acceptable. You should have come here to the hospital right away so I can remove them myself,” Dr. Smith argued.
“Are you not listening to me, Dr. Smith? I said my face itches so much I have no choice but to remove the bandage on my face,” she stated in a vexed tone.
Dr. Smith sighed heavily. “OK. Fine. It’s over now. There is nothing I can do about it. But there is only one thing that baffles me. Why does your face look so flawless? Why can't I detect any signs of surgery on it as if the scars had never appeared on your face before and you didn't undergo scar surgery in my skillful hands? Are you sure you didn't do anything to it because my previous scar surgery never looked that perfect?"
Luna Rosie shrugged. "I really don't know what's going on."
"The results of your face after one month of surgery are mind blowing. I can’t believe the astonishing results. It looks like I didn't perform surgery on your face. It’s so fucking unbelievable,” Dr. Smith stated in complete disbelief and astonishment.
“Yeah, we share the same sentiments. I was also stunned by the results. I’m still reeling from the shock!” She admitted her bewilderment at the whole thing.
“Can you come to my office right away? I want to check your face and see it with my own eyes,” Dr. Smith requested.
“Sure, I’ll come to your office after I’m done bathing,” she replied excitedly.
“No! Don’t put water on your face yet. Don’t apply anything to your face, even blush on or mascara. Just come here ASAP!” Dr. Smith said urgently.
“OK. I’ll leave the house after I finish changing my attire,” she said.
After they finished talking on the phone, Luna Rosie grabbed a pair of casual clothes from the closet and dressed up in a hurry.
A few minutes later, she can be seen leaving the mansion, getting in the family car waiting in the driveway wearing a veil on her face, and heading to the hospital.
After a short drive, they finally reached their destination.
The driver parked the car in the parking lot of the hospital and Luna Rosie entered the building alone.
When she reached the surgeon’s office, she waited in the lounge area because Dr. Smith was still talking to a client in her office.
A few minutes later, the assistant informed her that it was now her turn to see the doctor.
She entered the office and quickly removed the veil from her face. “Doc. I’m back!” She announced cheerily, lowering herself into the chair, facing the desk.
Dr. Smith stares at Mira’s face in total shock. “Wow, your face has healed 100% already? Unbelievable! It had never happened before to my previous client. Complete healing starts after six months and sometimes for over a year or longer. But the complete healing of your face only takes one month. How is this possible?” she asked, inspecting Mira’s face closely, trying to understand the mind-blowing phenomenon that had never happened before in her long career as a plastic surgeon.
Luna Rosie’s brows drew together. “So what do you think happened to my face? Is it magic or divine intervention?” she asks, frowning deeply, trying to understand what’s happening on her face.
Dr. Smith was silent for a few minutes, trying to find the exact logic after seeing the shocking result on Mira’s face. “All I know is that I’m the one who performed scar surgery on your face. The unbearable itching you experienced on your face never happened to my previous clients. I guess your case is one of a kind. I think it is divine intervention,” she finally gave her verdict.
Luna Rosie smiled brightly. Maybe the Moon Goddess finally heard her prayers and took pity for her sad flight.
“Do you feel any pain in your face now? No more feelings of itchiness? How about now? You didn't feel anything out of the ordinary?” Dr. Smith continued her investigation, asking thorough questions, still reeling from the shock.
Luna Rosie replied, “No pain and no itchiness at all. I’m perfectly fine.”
“Good.” Dr. Smith murmured, as she continued inspecting every inch of Mira’s face.
They discussed the mind-blowing miracle for almost an hour, then after they finished chatting, Luna Rosie left the surgeon’s face, heading home.
In the moving vehicle, Luna Rosie forgot to inform her surgeon that she also felt extreme dizziness, but after a few days the scary fainting spell stopped and never returned again.
She checked her phone messages. She was excited to go home because her husband would go home early today and they would have dinner together.
She can’t wait to see the reaction on his face when he sees her flawless face!
