Chapter 166 Moving to the Master Bedroom

Chapter 166 Moving to the Master Bedroom
Lukas furrowed his brow and leaned deeper into the soft couch. The muscles in his shoulders, which had been relaxed, tensed.
Lia bit down and then released when she couldn't hold on any longer.
But she insisted on biting again.
After several attempts, her warm breath brushed lightly against his neck, tickling him slightly. He let out a soft chuckle.
Suddenly, Lia lost her strength.
Lying on top of him, she complained listlessly, "I'm angry right now. Could you play along? Be serious. When you smile, I... I just want to hit you!"
"Go ahead. I won't fight back."
Before she could finish speaking, he scooped her up, cupping her chin with his long fingers and tilting her face upward.
Then, a soft touch grazed her lips. Instinctively, she closed her eyes in pleasure.
Just as he was about to go all the way, she suddenly snapped back to her senses and pushed him away with all her strength.
"No!"
Lukas braced himself on either side of her body. Several buttons on his shirt had come undone, revealing his firm, powerful chest muscles. The belt was still the one she’d undone earlier.
His brows furrowed. “Baby, don’t be silly.”
"I...I'm not being silly. It’s you. We did it so many times today, and now... I’m not feeling well.”
Lukas paused, then rolled over and pulled her into his arms. He kissed her forehead. "I’m sorry, I didn't think of that."
Lia's face flushed crimson.
Saying such things was utterly embarrassing for her.
It seemed Lukas intended to sleep holding her again that night.
But tonight felt different. The closer she got to him, the more intensely she sensed the potent male pheromones radiating from his body.
He was pure poison!
Her fingers and toes curled tightly, and her heart pounded so loudly that she could almost hear it in her ears.
Suddenly, she kicked Lukas off the bed.
He wasn't asleep—how could he be? When she lifted her foot, his body reacted instinctively and grabbed her ankle.
"Still mad?"
He thought it was a misunderstanding from four years ago and that she was still holding a grudge.
Unexpectedly, his hand gripped her knee. The warmth radiating from his palm sent another wave of rapid heartbeats through her.
Gritting her teeth, she kicked him several more times, a mix of anger and embarrassment.
"Even if I misunderstood you and was deceived by others, it all boils down to your face being too flashy. Add your power and status to that, and every kind of woman throws herself at you. It was like this four years ago, and it's still like this now. Anna was in your bed not long ago, and it's still your fault. You just can't help radiating charm."
Was that last bit meant as an insult?
When had Lia ever been reasonable?
Even when she knew she was wrong, she’d argue her point.
Each kick forced Lukas off the bed.
He stood with his hands on his hips, feeling unusually irritable.
He glared at Lia, who immediately backed down. A hint of fear flickered in her eyes before she turned away.
She huffed, "I'm not sleeping with you tonight!"
Then she decided to pretend to be asleep.
Lukas pressed his fingers to his temples.
"Lia, should I even bother arguing with you?"
"How old are you? You're old enough to know better than to pick fights with me!" She declared.
Lukas swallowed his anger and slowly buttoned his shirt from the bottom up.
"Fine. I'll punish you tomorrow."
Lia flinched at the threat but soon heard the door shut behind him.
Just like that?
She rolled over and climbed out of bed.
She stared at the door for about a minute.
Then she stormed out.
Just as Lukas was about to enter the bedroom, Lia strode in, hands on her hips. Without so much as a glance at him, she charged into the walk-in closet and packed away all the suits he usually wore.
Before leaving, she lifted her chin and declared defiantly, "I won't give anyone else a chance to climb into your bed. I realized Anna got so bold because she saw us sleeping apart. I'm taking your clothes away. You can reflect on your actions here!"
Lukas, draped in his silk pajamas, nodded slightly and tapped his fingers between his eyebrows.
A faint smile slowly spread across his lips.
"Reflect?"
Why did he feel like Lia's words were an invitation to sleep together?
She’d have to ask Sinan how he’d handled Eliza after she’d come to him.
Lia hung the suit in a separate compartment and stared at it for a moment. Then she decided to pack her own clothes, hanging Lukas' and hers together.
She clapped her hands and nodded with satisfaction.
Early the next morning, Lia was still half-asleep when she heard a knock on the door.
Groggily, she stumbled to the door. The first turn of the knob failed, and she suddenly remembered that she had locked it the night before.
Lukas stood in a robe with its sash loosely tied at the waist. The collar fell open, revealing the outline of his pectoral muscles and abs.
Lia yawned, catching a glimpse of his well-toned muscles through her half-closed eyes.
She burrowed into his embrace, wrapping her arms around him and biting down.
The bite was light; her teeth gently nipped the protruding nipple before releasing it. Her small face pressed against his chest as she murmured, "Lukas, you taste so good."
Lukas had already wrapped his arms around her the moment she nestled in.
Lia's warm, tantalizing breath seeped through his nightshirt, and any lingering anger vanished instantly.
“Want to sleep with me tonight?”
"Sure." Lia nodded.
Lukas lifted her up and cradled her like a child, draping one arm across the back of her thigh.
She leaned against his shoulder and wrapped her arms around him.
“Where are my clothes?”
"The first compartment on the left in the walk-in closet."
After a pause, Lia suddenly propped herself up and tilted her chin up triumphantly. "They're with mine, you know. Let's see who dares climb into your bed now!”
“Shouldn't you be tying me up instead of just grabbing my clothes?”
Lia froze, then sat up straight. "Right! What good are just the clothes? You need to move into my room!"
Lukas' lips curved slightly. "All right."
They'd slept in separate rooms for years, even after becoming intimate.
Lia's eyes widened as her mind cleared. She stared in surprise at her hands cradling Lukas' face. Then she looked down and realized he'd been holding her the whole time.
"Lukas, when did you get here?"
Lukas remained calm. "Just now."
"How did you get in?"
"You opened the door."
Really? Seriously?
Why didn't she remember doing it?
She stared at him. "Lukas, do you have some kind of magic? Like in the movies, where you touch someone, and then they're under your control and do strange things they can't stop?"
Seeing her earnest expression, Lukas couldn't bring himself to shatter her belief.
He carried her back to bed and tucked her in.
He stroked the top of her head with the gentlest touch and said, "Sleep."
Lia pulled the covers up, watching him walk into the walk-in closet.
He changed clothes right in front of her.
Then, wearing a suit, he walked to the bedside, leaned down, and kissed her forehead.
"Be good. I'll get off work early these next few days to be with you."
"Okay."
Only after he left did Lia sit upright in bed, gasping for breath.
Her eyes were wide, as if she had been terribly frightened.
It seemed as if her entire being had just endured some profound ordeal.
Lukas must have cast a spell on her!
How else could she have been so obedient?
Even without a spell, her feelings for Lukas were indistinguishable from being enchanted.
When she woke up from her nap, Erik served her breakfast and instructed the servants to move all of Lukas' clothes and daily necessities to the master bedroom.
"Madam, Mr. Müller ordered that all his belongings be moved to the master bedroom. Since you are now husband and wife, you ought to share a room and put an end to those women's schemes."
