Chapter 245 Speak with Evidence
"Cheating? You're talking about yourself. Why don't we let these two judges explain?"
Bianca's words stirred up wild speculation among everyone, and they couldn't help but look at Emily with suspicion.
Emily was indeed very beautiful, and Bianca spoke with such certainty, as if she had seen it with her own eyes.
Just then, a cold voice rang out.
The person in charge appeared with his assistant, and as soon as he spoke, he directly called out the names of two judges.
The two judges' faces turned extremely ugly, their hearts bitter and desperate.
Because once they were publicly named, the entire industry would soon know about this.
Their careers were ruined.
"Who are you? You must be Emily's lover, right? Aren't you afraid the Green family will come after you for abusing your power like this?"
Bianca frowned at the newcomer.
She just knew it - if he wasn't swayed by her gentle and innocent act, he must be supporting Emily. With this guess, she convinced herself of the answer and blurted it out.
The person in charge's expression grew even darker. He sneered at Bianca, then said to the two judges, "Will you admit what you did wrong yourselves, or should I present the evidence directly?"
"We'll talk. It was Bianca. She bribed us, gave us each a million dollars, and, and seduced us, so we couldn't resist the temptation. During the preliminary round, we cheated and gave her first place. We were planning to do the same in the finals, but we got caught."
One of the judges spoke up.
Bianca's expression changed.
She never expected these people would betray her.
"You're lying! Did Emily bribe you? Or did you - did you threaten them?"
Bianca pointed at the person in charge, questioning and cursing, "Emily fooled you! You think she's some innocent woman, but actually she's been around, and she's just sweet-talking you into doing things for her to win the award!"
Bianca didn't forget to slander Emily.
The person in charge was furious.
This Emily was Daniel's woman - how dare he get involved! "Stop your nonsense. I said before, even if these two judges don't tell the truth, I can produce evidence. Do you think with just your words, you can falsely accuse Ms. Johnson and me?"
Originally he had planned to leave Bianca some dignity, but now he felt such a person didn't deserve any.
He nodded to his assistant.
The assistant took a USB drive to the player nearby, and soon a video showed how Bianca had bribed the two men, even behaving flirtatiously toward them.
The crowd was in an uproar.
"Isn't she supposed to be the Johnson family's daughter? How could she degrade herself like this? Although this design competition award is prestigious, there's no need to sacrifice like that, right?"
"You think her reputation is good? It's actually already ruined. She probably wanted to salvage something this time, that's why she did this."
"Without real ability, everyone can see right through it. Did she really think that with an award, everyone would recognize her talent?"
...
Byron also took the opportunity to say, "She's just a pretty face. Emily is the truly excellent one. She just wants to outdo Emily in everything. Some sister, some blood relative - I think she's cold-blooded and heartless."
"Shut up, shut up! What do you know? So what if I paid them to try to make me first place? Can you say my work isn't good? My design drafts could easily be called first place. Who says I don't have real talent?"
Bianca knew there was no way out of the bribery situation.
So she focused on the work itself.
This was inspired by those criticizing her.
Emily had been waiting for Bianca to say exactly this.
"Forget everything else, let's just talk about the work, okay? Then I ask you, Bianca, swear that both works you submitted for the competition are yours? How do I remember these are from my sketchbook, except the sketchbook was accidentally left at the Johnson Villa - how did they become your work?"
"What? Even the work is Emily's? Doing something like this, instead of hiding, she dares to be so self-righteous?"
Byron shouted on cue.
Sophia couldn't help but add, "You have no real skills in painting, none in design, and there's that composing incident too. Looks like you're the one who stole Emily's credit - a repeat offender! Get out of the design world, go home!"
The two of them, working together, stirred up emotions in others, who joined in shouting at Bianca, "Get out of here, go home!"
Bianca's face looked terrible, but her eyes were poisonous as she stared at Emily. "No, the work was drawn by me personally. What evidence do you have to prove it's yours? Don't think that by manipulating public opinion to bully me and using the person in charge to pressure me, your scheme will succeed. This is slander, slander without evidence. I'll sue you for defaming me!"
Bianca shouted shrilly in agitation.
As she yelled, her body swayed.
She had always faked illness before, but her childhood condition had never truly flared up.
This was the first time she felt that uncomfortable sensation from her youth.
However, she didn't think it was serious.
Instead, she thought she could use this episode to her advantage.
Bianca staggered back several steps, then barely managed to support herself on a nearby table to keep from fainting.
Her face turned deathly pale, and her voice became weak and feeble. "If this can make you resent me less, then say whatever you want, I'll admit to it. After all, it was because I insisted that you returned to the Johnson family!"
Tears welled up in her eyes, her body swaying precariously.
What a pitiful sight.
The crowd that had been loudly mocking her fell silent, looking at her with some sympathy.
Sophia couldn't help but frown. "You pull this trick every time - such an act!"
Emily looked at Bianca's complexion and knew she wasn't entirely faking this time.
However, this should be her first real episode, and it wouldn't affect her life.
So Emily smiled and said, "Who told you I don't have evidence? I'm not like you, acting pitiful and saying ambiguous things to manipulate public opinion against people. I prefer to let evidence do the talking."
Emily smiled confidently.
Bianca was very nervous inside.
No, she didn't believe Emily really had evidence, otherwise she would have produced it during the preliminary round.
Emily must be bluffing.
Bianca put on a stubborn, strong appearance. "Emily, say whatever you want. If you say the work is yours, then it's yours. I don't need you to produce any evidence!"
But Emily's expression turned cold. "I don't need your 'magnanimity and tolerance.' I insist on producing evidence to convince everyone."
Then she said to the assistant still standing by the player, "Please pull up the preliminary and final round works that Bianca submitted."
The assistant immediately followed the request and displayed the works.
Emily walked directly to the screen, pointing to a spot in both pieces.
"Everyone, please look! I don't like to sign my work, but one day on a whim, I created a special mark for my pieces. So all my work has a signature unique to me - SQ. If you look closely at this spot in both these drawings, you can see it."
