Chapter 193 Terrifying Atmosphere

Chapter 193 Terrifying Atmosphere

"Why is it always you?"

Bianca heard that all-too-familiar voice and felt a surge of irritation.

Why was Emily everywhere?

In the past, it was always Emily who ended up in embarrassing situations. Now, the roles were reversed.

Bianca felt incredibly humiliated and wanted to find a place to hide.

"Emily, I know you don't like me, but we're family. We should have each other's backs in public, not side with some random guy just because he's handsome."

Bianca decided to strike first.

Emily was so amused by Bianca's twisted words that she couldn't help but laugh.

Before Emily could respond, Knox jumped in.

"You're Emily's sister? You sure don't look like it. You're not only unattractive but also delusional. Emily is beautiful inside and out. The way you came in here blaming her doesn't seem like something family would do. Looks to me like you're the one who doesn't like Emily and makes her life difficult."

Knox knew Emily had a sister who bullied her repeatedly. He had always wanted to stand up for her.

Emily used to care too much about family ties and stopped him. Now that Emily didn't care about the Johnson family anymore, he didn't hold back.

The bystanders couldn't help but chime in, "Yeah, my sister might criticize me at home, but she wouldn't let anyone else badmouth me in public. Who belittles their own sister like that?"

"You're dressed so scantily, it's clear you want attention. But only women understand those coy, seductive gestures."

"Isn't there security footage? If she claims it was an accident and not intentional, let's check the footage."

...

Some analyzed the situation, others suggested checking the security cameras.

Bianca felt guilty and naturally didn't want that.

She tried to recall if her fall looked genuine enough.

Would it be obvious she did it on purpose?

To avoid being exposed, she said, "No need for the footage. I'll just accept my bad luck! I didn't expect anything from you, didn't ask for compensation. This dress is worth a hundred thousand dollars. If I had any ulterior motives, why would I ruin it myself and only ask for an apology?"

A dress worth a hundred thousand dollars.

Among the diners, while some were wealthy, most were ordinary people.

Bianca spending that much on a dress suggested she came from a well-off family, causing some people to back off, fearing her family's influence.

"That doesn't mean anything. Maybe you want more. If you're not after money or anything else, then just leave, Bianca. Don't ruin our appetite. I've already ordered, and I doubt I can cancel it!"

Emily, having a clear conscience, spoke her mind.

Bianca, with teary eyes and a look of wanting to say something but holding back, glanced at Emily. To Emily, it seemed like Bianca quickly averted her gaze.

It looked like Emily bullied her more often.

"Sir, you must know Emily. Did she tell you bad things about me, making you so hostile? But I didn't do anything to deserve this treatment. If you don't apologize, I'm not leaving."

Bianca bit her lip and stubbornly stared at Knox.

"Stop spewing nonsense. You're not even worth mentioning to Emily. And with your looks, who would remember you? I don't even know you!"

Knox shot back immediately, clearly irritated.

Emily had never seen Knox insult someone before, so his words took her by surprise.

Knox felt his good image was tarnished.

He blamed Bianca for everything, his eyes turning cold with a hint of menace.

Bianca sensed it. She thought no man would harbor such hostility towards a woman like her unless Emily had badmouthed her.

Just as Bianca was about to say something else, a voice called out from a distance.

"Knox, what are you doing here?"

The owner of the voice quickly approached and greeted Knox.

"Knox..."

When Charles saw Emily, he couldn't hide his surprise.

He looked back and forth between Emily and Knox, asking, "Knox, do you know Emily?"

The usually aloof Knox dining with a woman, and Emily's expression seemed a bit too intense?

Charles wanted to shake off such thoughts.

Emily was Daniel's woman. If Knox liked her too, it would be a love triangle.

Caught in the middle, Charles would be in a tough spot, not knowing which side to support.

As Charles approached, Daniel followed at a leisurely pace.

His strong presence caused the onlookers to part, as if he were walking a red carpet.

Daniel's eyes ignored everyone else, focusing solely on Emily.

"What a coincidence, you're here too?"

Daniel smiled, his lips curling up.

Emily was surprised to see Daniel there, even suspecting he might have followed her.

"Quite a coincidence!" Emily smiled.

Sensing the tension, Charles explained, "Maybe it's fate. We were meeting someone to discuss something."

Emily's expression remained unchanged.

But inside, she scolded herself for being so self-absorbed, thinking he was there for her.

Bianca felt jealous, seeing all the men surrounding Emily. Why her?

She had an idea.

If that's the case, she might as well expose Emily's flirtatious nature to them.

She greeted Daniel, "Mr. Smith, I don't think it's a coincidence. Look, Emily came here specifically to dine with this gentleman and even argued with me for his sake."

Bianca wanted Daniel to question Knox's importance to Emily.

No man could tolerate his woman dining with such an outstanding man, especially someone as dominant as Daniel.

Even knowing Bianca was stirring trouble, Daniel felt jealous.

Knox again.

He remembered Knox from the racing event.

Emily trusted him enough to use the car he prepared.

Now they were having a private meal.

As a man, Daniel could see Knox had feelings for Emily, making him wary.

The silent showdown between the two men made the air tense.

A clash seemed imminent, with tension high.

Emily sensed the tension and quickly intervened.

"Daniel, Charles, weren't you meeting someone? It's almost noon. They must be here. It's not good to keep them waiting. If there's anything to discuss, let's do it after the meal?"

Bianca's words were based on the situation.

But Daniel felt she was choosing Knox over him.

Nothing had changed, but Emily felt his gaze suddenly turn resentful, as if she had wronged him.

Emily couldn't help but feel like she had.
