(Summary of the next chapter)

(From Alex side confused chapter)

Alex sent one of his trusted men to invite Nima for breakfast. The table was set in a romantic corner of the room, bathed in the soft morning light. They were the only two guests at the table.

The morning sun cast a warm, golden hue over the breakfast table set in an intimate corner of the room. Alex sat across from each other, their eyes locked in a silent dance of longing and curiosity.

Nima sat at the table, an aura of mystery surrounding her. The soft morning light caressed her features, illuminating her in a way that made her seem even more enchanting. Her eyes sparkled with a mixture of curiosity and anticipation as she looked up and met my gaze.

For a moment, time seemed to stand still. We were two souls on the precipice of something new and uncharted. The world outside faded into insignificance as we locked eyes, and in that fleeting moment, I felt an unspoken connection that transcended words.

Nima's beauty took my breath away, and I couldn't help but feel a rush of desire. Her presence held a magnetic pull, and as I walked towards her, I was acutely aware of the weight of our impending conversation. It wasn't just a breakfast; it was the beginning of something more significant, something that had the potential to change the course of our lives.

The events of the previous night still lingered in the air, and a sense of unresolved tension hung between them.

As they began their meal, the clinking of utensils was accompanied by a symphony of unspoken desires. Alaya's surprise visit had shaken Alex's feelings that morning, yet the magnetic connection that drew them together couldn't be denied. Each bite, each stolen glance, felt like a confession of the unspoken affection growing between them.

Conversation flowed effortlessly, a blend of light-hearted banter and deeper discussions. Despite the intensity of their encounters, Alaya couldn't help but blush whenever her gaze met Alex's, her shyness adding a charming layer to her personality. Alex, the master of teasing, couldn't resist making her cheeks turn crimson, his laughter ringing through the room.

During this intimate breakfast, Alex seized the opportunity to dig deeper into Nima's mysterious past. He sensed that she carried secrets, a complexity that intrigued him. Determined to uncover the truth, he asked her about her sudden departure from her previous home. With a thoughtful yet piercing gaze, he waited for her response.

Nima hesitated for a moment, her eyes reflecting a whirlwind of emotions. Then, as if to protect the fortress around her heart, she chose to lie once again. Her explanation was vague, leaving out the intricacies of her true motives and the wounds from her past that still haunted her.

On her way to Flora's room, she met with an unexpected challenge. A group of Alex's mistresses, their eyes filled with jealousy and resentment, surrounded Nima.

The women taunted and bullied her, calling her all sorts of names. But Nima, with a fiery determination, refused to be intimidated. She held her ground, a mix of strength and vulnerability, making it clear that she wouldn't be pushed around.

In that pivotal moment, as I stood at the threshold of the dining room, a surge of anticipation coursed through my veins. My heart pounded with the promise of a potential connection, an uncharted journey that beckoned with a siren's call. Gathering my courage, I inhaled deeply, summoning the resolve to push the door ajar. And as it swung open, there she stood, a vision of radiance and allure, casting a spell that left me breathless.

As the first rays of dawn bathed the room in a soft, golden embrace, their gentle touch painted Nima in a radiant hue. The large windows, like portals to a world of tranquility, filtered the morning light, bestowing a warm, ethereal glow upon her. She occupied her place at the meticulously arranged table, a vision of grace and poise. In that moment, our eyes locked, a silent exchange that transcended words. Her gaze, a mixture of vulnerability and curiosity, met mine, creating a magnetic connection. A tender, tentative smile graced her lips, revealing the hidden depths of her emotions. She was a paradox, a breathtaking enigma, stunning yet modest, like an intricate puzzle yearning for a curious soul to unravel its mysteries.

"Good morning, Nima," I greeted her as I crossed the room, my voice gentle and filled with a newfound tenderness.

Nima's eyes sparkled, a hint of shyness in her gaze as she responded, "Good morning, Alex."

In the air, there lingered an electric charge, pregnant with unspoken inquiries and mounting anticipation. We shared an unspoken knowledge that this breakfast held a significance beyond mere sustenance; it was a moment of significance, a turning point. Nima's shyness, previously hidden behind her radiant exterior, became more apparent, adding to the complexity of the moment.Amidst this unspoken tension, a silent accord formed between us. We knew that words weren't necessary to convey the profound feelings that swirled around us. With each passing moment, the invisible thread of connection between us grew stronger, binding us together in a way that transcended verbal communication.

Sitting down in the chair opposite Nima, my eyes were drawn to the delightful tableau of food that lay before us. The table was adorned with a lavish spread, a visual feast for the senses. The rich scent of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air, intermingling with the sweet, tempting aroma of pastries, creating an olfactory symphony that tantalized our senses. The ambiance was accompanied by the comforting sounds of cutlery gently meeting porcelain plates, a soothing background melody that punctuated the quietude of our shared moment. The clinking of utensils and dishes served as a welcome distraction, breaking through the lingering tension and setting the stage for what promised to be a memorable breakfast.

Nima picked at her food delicately, her hands trembling ever so slightly, a subtle reminder of her vulnerability. It was evident that last night's encounter had left her both physically and emotionally exposed. But I respected her choice not to talk about it. Instead, we exchanged small talk, discussing trivial matters, and sharing anecdotes from our pasts.

Amidst the conversation, I couldn't help but ask about the woman she had gone to see the previous day. "Nima, I am sorry for the way I treated you. But about the woman you went to see. Would you like to share anything about it?"

Nima hesitated, her eyes darting away for a moment before returning to meet mine. "I'd rather not talk about it right now," she replied softly.

Respecting her boundaries, I changed the topic, steering our conversation toward lighter subjects. We laughed, we shared stories, and as time passed, the initial awkwardness dissipated, leaving room for comfort and connection.

After breakfast, I excused myself to tend to my Alpha duties, but before I left, I instructed Desmond to keep an eye on her.

Nima's Pov

I was really angry when a man named Darren came to tell me that Alex wanted to have dinner.

I was planning to have a quiet morning away from troubles and anxiety.

I was confused. I wondered if Alex really killed me.

Can a man who killed his girlfriend be sweet and loving?

But as much as I thought about it, Dragoni's words kept ringing in my mind.

He had warned me to never lose focus, he told me to carry out my mission and get back home.

But how am I supposed to carry out my mission now? Is it even possible?

I am now lost in Alex's arms, and I think I am falling in love with him.

Should I just forget about my mission and concentrate on starting a new life? But what about Rody's family? Wouldn't they suffer? Will Dragoni spare me? Wouldn't he call me a betrayer?" Many questions kept flowing in my mind, that I couldn't even think of the right answer.

I was falling in love with my enemy, the same man who had killed me, and it was life threatening.

I tried to think of a way forward as I paced in my room, but nothing was coming.

"Oh! Alex!" I whispered harshly as I remembered my mother.

That poor woman is going through a lot all because of him.

But I can also solve that, can't I?

If I tell Alex everything about my mission, he might accept me and reunite me with my mom.

Or he might also get angry and kill me once again.

I have been killed once, I have passed through death. I cannot be killed. But if Dragoni wants me dead, that would be another story entirely.

As I continued in my thoughts, a knock sounded on the door.

I was so lost that I didn't hear that first, when I opened the door, I noticed that it was Lanky.

He stood manly, his head high, and I wondered what he wanted.

Or perhaps he has lost his way?" I thought.

"Nima! Good morning!" He greeted me with a cheerful voice, a smile on his face, and I wondered if he was always cheerful.

"Good morning Beta?" I greeted politely, but I was still angry. Because he had interrupted my thoughts, now I would have to start all over again.

"How was your night?" He asked, his eyes scanning my body.

"Hmmm… .well," suddenly my brain clinked, and I wondered if Alex had told him what happened last night.

" Did Alex told his friends that he fucked me?" I wondered aloud, and Lanky burst into a mischievous laughter.

"I am Lanky by the way, " he said and stretched out his palm to me.

I stared at his palm wondering if I was supposed to shake it.

"Oh! I am a good person. I just came to check up on you. You know, to check if your are doing well!" He replied smoothening the unease I was feeling.

"I am doing fine, thanks for checking," I replied, and wanted to shut the door, when he suddenly put one of his legs into the room.

I was flabbagasted and I stared at him, my eyes sparkling in curiousity.

"What are you doing?" I asked him with a raised brows.

"Who is Fred? Do you know him?" He asked with a low menacing voice, and my blood dried up.

"What do you mean by *do I know him? And who are you?" I asked him anxiously. Curiousity was all over my face, and I knew that he could sense my weakness.

"I am guessing that you know him?" He assumed, and I shook my head almost immediately.

"Of course not. But I might know him, so can you please explain who he is?" I asked, trying to be cunning, but he wasn't moved

"No, I cannot. But do you know any body by that cute name?" He asked me his voice filled with sarcasm.

Taking a deep breath, I faced my fear, "Yes, I do!" I just couldn't deny him. "But if he's involved in any illegal business, trust me, I don't know him!" I buttessed my point.

And Lanky burst into laughter, "You are funny Nima, what type of illegal business could he be involved in? I am sure that he's a good man!?"

I scoffed, suddenly he transformed into Fred, and my mouth was opened wide.

"What are you doing here? And what sort of rubbish is this?" I yelled at him, and he laughed merrily.

"I wanted to check if you were going to deny me, luckily, you passed the test. Congratulations!!" He said and clapped his hands.

"What the fuck are you talking about?!" I yelled at him angrily.

"What did I do wrong? I was just hoping to… "

Suddenly we had approaching footsteps.
