THE BIG NEWS
Sebastian POV

It has been a week since Elara was arrested and sentenced to death for her crimes. However, someone didn't seem happy about the turn of the event.

She stood by Ava's grave. The only person gave a proper burial. I had learned of her tragic childhood and how twisted Elara had used her for her own benefits.

Evie didn't punish her instead she gave her a chance to be reborn. As the divine moon goddess, she had the ability to forgive and perish unforgivable souls.

I watched her pay her last respect from a distance since I had no connection to the deceased. She might have been my fiancee, but I never liked her in the first place.

A few minutes later, Evie climbed down the hill. I opened my arms to her and she came in, embracing me with her softness.

“Are you alright?" I kissed the top of her head. My most priced jewel.

“I feel a bit down but I will get over the sadness with time. Let's go back home, I have something I would like to give you," she said, my eyes flickered with excitement.

“Something? Hmm, now you have got me curious. Do I get a chance to ask what it might be?" She chuckled and tapped my chest gently with her index finger.

“It is a surprise," she whispered playfully. I wondered what it would be but didn't urge her any further.

Last week when I got shot during Elara's arrest, she had gone into a full panic mode I had never seen. I regretted taking that shot and wished I had dodged it with her. After her episode, I swore never to take such risk ever again.

Now she was better, even radiating and looking more thick than usual. A thought came to my mind but I brushed it off.

When we got into the car, I momentarily glanced at her breasts. They were fuller than usual. I shifted my gaze back to the road not wanting to be caught and called a pervert.

Maybe, later tonight I might have to check on them just to be sure I am not seeing things.

“Hello, start the engine. What are you looking at? Is there a ghost in front that I am not seeing?" She joked and I slightly laughed.

If only she knew what was going through my head now. She won't dare speak of a ghost.

“What's so funny?" She asked.

“Nothing. I just thought you look beautiful," I said and she rolled her eyes.

“I know you are obsessed with me. Just wait till we get home, you will be more obsessed with me," she cooed cheerfully and it only took the moon goddess strength to drive.

We made a few stops along the road since Evie suddenly damaged food every time we drove past a restaurant, Cafe or fast food. Our last stop was at a mall. She wanted ice cream and I thought maybe she was trying to relieve herself from the grief she felt but when she ordered twenty-nine flavors, I knew something was wrong.

She hummed sweetly, doing a little dance each time she took a scoop of her mountain of ice cream. I watched her keenly, mesmerized each time she opened her tiny mouth to swallow her scoop.

“Are you trying to get a brain freeze or something?" I asked, anchoring my head on my palm against the table.

“Brain freeze? Definitely not, I just have this craving for all ice cream flavors. You must be worried something is wrong with me." She said, taking another scoop which fell on her shirt before she could put it into her mouth.

“Ugh! I think I am done eating ice cream. Let's go home." She suddenly grew paranoid and dropped the spoon on the table.

Her quick change of mood took me by surprise. She was never like the weather except if there was something bothering her.

I got up and followed her behind. We returned to our car and drove out of the mall.

This time around we didn't make any stops. I drove straight home only because she had fallen asleep along the way.

But the moment I killed the car's engine, her eyes flung open like she knew we were home.

“Are you sure you are alright, my love? You have been extremely weird this few hours," I noted, helping her out of her seatbelt.

“You will get to know what is wrong with me when we get inside," she said and opened the door on her own.

I frowned as she got out and came out right before she shut the door.

“That was unladylike. You don't open the door when I am with you," I cautioned her, but not with a stern voice even though I was damn serious about what I said.

“Oops, I totally forgot. Please forgive your Queen." She tipped her toes and placed a kiss on my cheek. I let it slide and we both went inside.

At the door, my mom who was fully recovered stood with a flower vase in her hand. She must have been restocking her flowers to be with it.

“Welcome, home my pretty angel. How was your trip?" She stood Evie away from me the moment we walked in.

Ever since she was released from the spell Elara had placed on her, she became herself again. Evie was never to be joked with when she was around and she had sincerely apologized for the way she had treated her the past.

They even became best of friends and sometimes, they went against me playing perfect mother and daughter in-law.

Like right now they were whispering about me to themselves as if I wasn't present.

“He is so dumb." My Mom tsked, looking at me with clear disappointment in her eyes.

“I know. I can't believe he didn't even take any of the hint. He is really exhausting," Evie added with an attitude that mirrored her annoyance.

“If there is something I need to know, you can tell me about it." I waved my hand just so they would know that I was physically with them.

Evie turned to look at me with a nonchalantly look that seemed like she was pissed.

“I ate a lot of food today, ate plenty of ice cream, undid the buttons of my top, talked a lot and yet you couldn't take a hint," she grumbled and my Mom sighed by her side.

“A hint." I looked down at her chest again and that was when it clicked.

All the cravings, the fatigue, the mood swing. Oh my moon goddess, I deserve to be hung.

I went down on my knees and crawled to her. She huffed but let me touch the life in her belly. “We are pregnant."

A smile broke across her features and she chuckled. “Of course we are. I am sorry I didn't tell you sooner. We are expecting triplets."

“Triplets!" I repeat in surprise and she nodded her head in response.

I am a fucking lucky man on earth right now.

“You are amazing, love. Thank you. Thank you so much." I get up and embraced her, lifting her off the ground in excitement.

Her laugh filled the hallway and my mom clapped in excitement.

“I love you, Evie."

“I love you too, Sebastian." Overwhelmed I captured her lips in mine and vowed to cherish this woman for the rest of my life.
