Chapter 170
Chapter 170
Elizabeth looked up at him, her eyes full of tenderness: "You put so much thought into this and used so many roses. Wasn't it too much trouble?"
Matthew lowered his head, his nose gently brushing against hers, his tone playful: "Since I helped you put on this wedding dress with my own hands, that's exactly how I'm going to take it off tonight."
"Matthew, what are you thinking about?" Elizabeth's cheeks flushed red as she lightly patted his chest.
Matthew chuckled softly. He had only one thought in his mind—to hold his girl tightly in his arms and make up for all the debts and regrets of the past.
Before the guests could react, before the officiant could speak, Matthew reached out to cup the back of Elizabeth's neck, leaned down and kissed her hard.
The kiss was burning and so intense, carrying longing and desire that had been suppressed for too long, as if he wanted to melt her entire being into his body.
John's mouth twitched as he thought, 'Mr. Moore! We haven't gotten to the kissing part yet! Can you please follow the program!'
Just then, a tiny human being held by John stumbled over—it was Matthew and Elizabeth's one-year-old son, Xavier.
He was wearing a small white suit, his soft hair pressed against his scalp. Supported by John, he grabbed onto Matthew's pant leg and called out in a sweet childlike voice: "Dad... Dad, shame..."
His words instantly broke the intimate atmosphere. The guests burst into laughter, and the previously tense mood became relaxed.
Matthew reluctantly released Elizabeth. Looking at her swollen lips, his eyes were full of smiles, as if only now remembering they were still at the wedding ceremony.
The melodious wedding march slowly began to play. The lights in the guest area came back on, and all eyes focused on them, full of blessings.
Matthew took Elizabeth's hand, fingers intertwined, and led her step by step along the rose-petal path toward the officiant's platform.
John stood to the side, pulling out a handkerchief and emotionally wiping tears from his eyes: "Mr. Moore hasn't been this energetic in so long... Marrying his true love is really like winning a tough battle, even happier than landing a major company project."
The priest's solemn yet gentle voice began the vows. Matthew knelt on one knee and placed the ring symbolizing eternity on Elizabeth's finger.
Elizabeth also picked up the other ring and placed it on Matthew's ring finger.
"Got you tied down now," Elizabeth looked up, her eyes crinkling with a smile. "This lifetime, next lifetime—don't even think about taking it off."
Matthew wrapped his arm around Elizabeth's waist, pulled her into his embrace, and leaned down to kiss her.
The next morning, sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, filling the entire bedroom.
When Elizabeth woke up and tried to move, the soreness throughout her body made her gasp.
The air still carried traces of last night's intimacy, mixed with Matthew's pleasant scent.
"Awake?" Matthew's just-woken voice carried a hint of huskiness as it sounded by her ear.
Elizabeth hummed in acknowledgement. Just as she was about to move, she froze. She felt Matthew's body responding, and her cheeks instantly burned: "Matthew... it's daylight, stop it."
"Scared?" Matthew lowered his head, his nose brushing against her neck.
His fingertips traced light circles on her waist, his eyes slightly narrowed with a hint of satisfaction.
"I'm worried about your body," Elizabeth retorted with a red face, though her fingers unconsciously drew circles on his chest.
Matthew caught her wandering hand and brought her fingertips to his lips, kissing each one: "Whether my body is good or not—didn't you experience enough last night?"
Elizabeth's face grew even hotter. She punched his chest lightly: "Matthew, can you be serious!"
"Serious?" Matthew chuckled softly. "In front of my own wife, a man doesn't need to be serious."
Elizabeth tried to sit up but was pulled back down by the soreness throughout her body.
Matthew leaned over, gently massaging her waist, his smile deepening: "Looks like last night's workout was indeed a bit much. I've worn out my Elizabeth."
Elizabeth's face grew even redder. She pulled the blanket over herself, wrapping herself tightly: "It's all your fault... you don't have any restraint at all."
Matthew pulled back a corner of the blanket and gently gathered her, blanket and all, into his arms, his tone carrying a hint of grievance: "Blame me? Blame me for loving you too much—is that not allowed?"
His fingers gently massaged her sore waist with skilled, tender movements. "Does it hurt here? Or is it uncomfortable here?"
Under his skilled massage, Elizabeth couldn't help but let out a soft moan, then shyly bit her lip.
Matthew kissed the corner of her lips, then scooped her up in his arms and headed toward the bathroom. "Looks like my Elizabeth needs more training to keep up with my pace."
In the spacious built-in bathroom, the massage tub was already filled with warm water, fresh rose petals scattered on the surface.
Matthew carefully placed Elizabeth in the tub, then stepped in himself, gently embracing her from behind and carefully, tenderly washing her body.
Elizabeth leaned against his solid chest, clearly feeling his steady, strong heartbeat, her eyes full of tenderness and peace.
Over the past year, under the care of a professional team, her body had recovered extremely well, her complexion growing rosier day by day. Watching her gradually regain her health, all his worries and anxieties vanished in this moment.
The next second, Elizabeth felt this man's hands starting to wander over her body again.
Elizabeth pressed down on his hands: "Matthew, stop it. My body can't take it."
Matthew took her hand and gently pressed it against his chest, letting her feel his intense, powerful heartbeat: "Feel this—feel how hard it's beating for you. It's full of you. I'm just afraid... afraid of losing you again. I can never bear that feeling again."
"Don't be afraid..." Elizabeth's voice softened, tears welling up in her eyes. "I won't leave you again. Don't worry."
Matthew gently kissed away the tears at the corner of her eyes. His kisses fell like raindrops, trailing from herforehead to her eyes to her collarbone, not sparing an inch of skin, tender yet burning, filled with love that went deep into his bones.
Elizabeth gripped his shoulders, pleading slightly: "Gentle... I'm afraid it'll hurt, and I'm afraid you'll tire yourself out."
Matthew slowed his movements, his fingertips gently caressing her skin: "Does it hurt? Then I'll be more gentle, okay?"
She shook her head lightly, reaching out to hold his waist tightly, her voice choked with emotion: "It doesn't hurt. I'm just too happy... Matthew, meeting you, spending my life with you—I'm truly too happy."
Matthew held her even tighter. "Elizabeth, when it comes to loving you, I never grow tired, and I'll never stop."
