Chapter 24

"What are you doing here, Clara?" I asked seriously.

I immediately turned around and it took a few seconds before I answered his question. Fortunately, I immediately thought of an alibi to excuse him.

"I had a dream that a vampire stole the fang. I was nervous and worried while wondering if my dream was true, so I came here. I couldn't help but watch it," I lied.

I heard him sigh at what I said. I don't know if I convinced him of my reason. I didn't show the nervousness I was feeling while I was just looking at him.

"Many people are really interested in the fang because it is the only one that can kill any powerful wolf, even a Lycan," he answered.

"What if I use it against you?" said my mind.

"So that all of this will be over. But no I won't allow you to die straight away without any difficulty," I thought.

"That's why they're interested in it. But don't worry because I'm ready to help you guard the fang," I volunteered.

"There's no need. Don't bother yourself because it's not your responsibility, Clara. Don't think about that," he said calmly.

"I insisted,Alpha," I insisted.

He smiled at what I said and invited me out of the room. We immediately went out and walked in the Corridor to the outside. And as we walked we saw Troy talking to Romania. The two were having fun while they were talking.

As for me, Romania was slowly able to move on from her depression due to Dylan's sudden death and I'm so happy for her.

 "I have nothing to worry about now," said Alpha Henrick with a smile.

"What do you mean?" I asked blindly but as if I already knew what it meant.

"I have to admit that I was jealous when I saw you and Troy talking so I immediately approached you. I can't imagine that you are happy talking to another man while we are not okay," he admitted.

I must admit that I felt a thrill from what he said. He is obviously jealous but it feels different when I hear it from him. But why am I affected? No way! He can't fool me with his sweet deceitful words.

"I don't want you to end up with someone else, Clara," he said seriously while staring at me.

"What if that happens?" I asked.

"I will not agree. I will do everything for you to choose me as your mate. I will go crazy, Clara," he replied seriously.

Elijah approached us so our conversation was interrupted. He had a rolled up letter and gave it to Alpha. He bowed in front to pay respect to him.

"A letter from Aryana,Alpha" Aries said with a smile.

My blood warmed when I heard that woman's name. I was even more annoyed when I saw the Alpha simply smile while reading the letter. What was written in that letter?

"You know Aryana is really very smart because even though she chose to live alone, she still thinks about the Wound woods," he said with a smile.

"Why did she live alone if she was still worried about Woundwoods.She should have stayed here," I replied.

"It's a long story, Clara.I understand her," he said calmly.

"I don't know about you," I replied, annoyed.

I saw her smile at me and pissed me off. I was annoyed deep inside because I wasn't really jealous. I was just annoyed because Aryana would be an obstacle to my plans. 

When Elijah left, I couldn't stop myself from peeking while Alpha Henrick was reading the letter from Aryana. I raised my eyebrows when I read the sweet words that indicate love for him. Why doesn't she stop Alpha even though she knows I'm Alpha's chosen mate.

"You're quiet," he said to me. 

"Nevermind," I answered sparingly.

"Are you mad, Clara?"he asked.

"No. Why should I be mad?" I denied. 

"Hmmm, I think you're jealous. Am I right?" he asked with a smile.

I want to touch his face as he looks at me. His smile is so sweet and his face is so gentle that you think he's an angel but he's actually a demon.

"I'm not jealous, I'm mad, okay?" I said seriously. 

"I think it's the same, Clara" he said.

"You promised to wait for me and do everything to accept you as my mate. But now you're entertaining another woman. What do you want me to feel?" I asked, annoyed.

"I just want to make it clear. I don't like Aryana and whatever goodness I show to her is just a normal treatment. She's Aries' cousin so I don't see anything wrong with that," he replied seriously.

I took a deep breath to calm myself down. I regretted what I said and apologized. I thought that maybe he would distance himself from me and choose Aryana because I got carried away by my emotions.My plans could be ruined so it's not right.

"I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't act like this," I apologize.

"I'm sorry if that's how you feel and if you think I'm being entertained by others. But I assure you that I really only want you, Clara. I don't like Aryana and I will never like her and choose to be my mate," he said in a deep sweet voice.

"I will wait for you until you are ready to be my Luna,"he added.

Despite the anger that I feel, I don't know why there is a part of me that feels guilty to think that I am just letting him rely on nothing.

"If you can change my mind, Alpha," I answered.

"I will do everything, Clara," he insisted. 

After our conversation, we said goodbye to each other and he took me to my room. The next day I woke up early and got up. I took a shower and put on my clothes. I also watched myself in the mirror for a few minutes. I admitted to myself that I can't really deny how beautiful I am.Aryana can't beat me. I will not ruin my plans with Alpha Henrick.

When I left the room, I walked down the corridor and met Martha with a food tray full of food. I volunteered to help her take it to the Arena where the wolves undergo training. 

"Hmm, I saw you and Alpha last night talking. It's good that you're okay,"she said with a smile.

"Because he apologized to me so we were okay," I said proudly.

"Hmmm, it's really you! Amazing!"she praised. 

"He was jealous of Troy. He couldn't stand it so he approached me," I said with a smile.

"Your beauty is different,Clara. I think you are Alpha's weakness,"she replied with a smile.

"He should just chase!" I said sarcastically. 

"Uhmmm just kidding,"I joked.

Martha just shook her head and smiled at what I said and I did the same to her. But when we entered the Arena, my eyes widened and suddenly my blood heated at what I saw.
