“Hello, Mr. Burnett, I’m Cathy Willis,” Cathy walked ahead, gracefully and quickly introducing herself.
Her smile was elegant, leaving no room for criticism.
“As for this Miss Stewart, she might just be passing by,” Cathy pretended to speak for Sherry,
Sherry remained calmly silent, not in a hurry to speak.
Not far away, Ian watched her closely.
She didn’t move, looking completely like someone who was just passing by.
Her expression was as light as an early blooming lotus, natural and serene.
Ian narrowed his eyes, unable to understand why Sherry came here in the first place.
After Cathy finished speaking, she took a step forward and waited for Mr. Burnett to lead her inside.
But Mr. Burnett didn’t move.
He shook his head, lowering his gaze. “Something’s not right. The gentleman didn’t mention anyone surnamed Cathy Willis. Only Sherry Stewart.”
“Mr. Burnett, hi, it’s me,” Sherry called out, passing by Cathy and walking up to Mr. Burnett. “I’m Sherry.”
“Sherry?” Mr. Burnett heard her say her name and immediately nodded. “Yes, yes, that’s the name. Miss Stewart, please come in.”
He became warm and enthusiastic, ushering Sherry inside.
Cathy, forgotten, stood there like a statue, her mind blank.
How could this happen?
Sherry didn’t come to find Ian?
Instead, she came to meet Mr. Anderson?
Ian furrowed his brows tightly, even though he had seen countless twists and turns in life, the current situation surprised him.
His gaze remained on Sherry, unable to look away.
“Ian,” Cathy came back and her face looked dark.
She had just confidently claimed that not only could she meet Mr. Anderson, but she could also persuade him to cooperate with Genesis Group. Now… she had been proven wrong?
She was slapped in the face, while Sherry was warmly welcomed by the Anderson family’s butler?
It wasn’t just a slap in the face; it was as if they were rubbing her face into the ground!
Sherry was quickly brought into the reception room by Mr. Burnett.
The Anderson family treated their guests differently based on their status.
Ordinary guests were received in the side hall.
Important ones were received in the main hall.
The most distinguished guests would be invited to the VIP room upstairs.
Sherry was led to the VIP room.
Along the way, the servants couldn’t help but glance at her, trying to guess her identity.
It was worth noting that in a year, there were only a handful of guests who were invited to this room.
Sherry remained undisturbed by the servants‘ gazes and was not surprised by the arrangements in the VIP room.
She remained calm and serene, sitting on the chair like an ancient ink painting.
Mr. Burnett couldn’t help but take a few more glances at her, becoming even more courteous. “Please wait a moment; Mr. Anderson will be here soon.”
“Sure, thank you, Mr. Burnett,” Sherry replied softly.
Immediately, someone brought in top–quality tea.
The tea had no brand name, but its aroma filled the room, a rare top–grade tea that couldn’t be found in the market.
She took a shallow sip and, seeing Mr. Burnett leave, she took out her phone and sent a message to William, asking him to come and persuade Cathy and the others to leave.
Cathy was unaware of Mr. Anderson’s situation, and if she caused any trouble, all their previous efforts would be in
vain.
As soon as she sent the message, there was movement outside the door.
Sherry stood up, and a handsome man walked in from outside.
The man had a serious expression, a large frame, a tall figure, and a strong presence.
Although his face had only slight wrinkles, his hair was as white as snow.
Due to his white hair, he looked like he was in his fifties or sixties.
This person was none other than Mr. Anderson, the business tycoon of Silvaria.

In fact, Mr. Anderson was only in his forties.
“Mr. Anderson.” seeing Mr. Anderson, Sherry stood up and greeted him politely.
Mr. Anderson quickly stopped her from bowing, “Why didn’t you inform me in advance before coming? I could. have picked you up.”
“You’re busy with important matters. How can I waste your time?” Sherry replied with a gentle smile.
Although she used a respectful address, there was a sense of warmth in her eyes.
Seeing her, Mr. Anderson also changed from being stern in front of others.
His facial lines softened.
Outside, Cathy was not giving up.
“There must be a mistake!”
She refused to believe that with her strong connections, Mr. Anderson would not see her!
“Tll explain the relationship with Mrs. Anderson to Mr. Anderson right now. He will definitely come to pick me up!” She turned around to find someone standing in her path.
“You better not go. It’ll be a disaster if you do.” Someone stepped in to stop her.
Cathy turned around anxiously, almost colliding with the person.
Looking up, she saw William.
William’s face showed no emotions, he just looked at her indifferently.
“What do you mean?” She urgently wanted to regain her face, forgetting to maintain her image, her expression starting to crack.
William didn’t feel like talking to Cathy and couldn’t be bothered to explain. He came to Ian. “Ian, this matter with Mr. Anderson is no small matter. Better take Miss Cathy away first.”
“I’m here to help!” William’s disregard irritated Cathy, and she suppressed her anger to explain, “I’m acquainted
with Mr. Anderson’s wife. It would be safest if I handle this matter.”
William chuckled upon hearing this, “You’re familiar with Mrs. Anderson, but don’t you know that they have had no relationship for a long time? Not only that, but they are arch enemies.”
He wanted to let her preserve her own dignity, but since she insisted on arguing, he had no choice but to tell the
truth.
“How… how is that possible?” Cathy’s face turned pale instantly. “How do you know?”
William didn’t know at first, but Sherry mentioned it on the way here.

Cathy rushed to help, but she didn’t even bother to understand the basic situation. It was unbelievable…
Luckily, he was worried about Sherry, so he specially came to wait for her; otherwise, today’s situation could have been a real mess
William looked at Ian and said, “lan, you are usually more steady, how come you’re acting so recklessly this time!”
He was referring to lan inviting Cathy to come as a mediator.
They had already found Sherry, and now he called Cathy too. What was going on?
In Cathy’s ears, these words were like burning fire, not directed at lan, but clearly aimed at her!
Cathy couldn’t stand this and retorted, “What nonsense are you talking about! Mrs. Anderson never told me that their relationship was bad!”
“Even if their relationship is bad, does she need to make a public spectacle and broadcast it to the world?” Cathy’s ignorance left William extremely speechless.
Only someone like lan, with poor judgment, could like this kind of woman.
Cathy: “…”
Feeling wronged, she bit her lip.
“What’s really going on?” Ian asked with a deep voice.
Mr. Anderson was a very low-profile person, and his personal matters were almost impossible to find out.
William put his hands in his pockets and looked at the two. “Do you know why Mr. Anderson is so enthusiastic about the entertainment industry and acquired most of the entertainment companies in just a few years?”
“It’s because he’s seeking revenge on his ex–wife. Initially, his ex–wife had an affair with a director and took away all his assets. Now, by acquiring these entertainment companies, he’s preventing his ex–wife from gaining a foothold!”
“Do you know his ex–wife? With his influence, did she manage to get a decent role in all these years?” He directed this question at Cathy.
Cathy lowered her head in silence.
Indeed, she hadn’t thought much about it before, but now she realized there was a problem.
“Is this… believable?” She still held on to a glimmer of hope, hoping that this information was wrong.
“Thousand Faced Fox said it. She knows Mr. Anderson best,” William replied coolly.
As soon as Thousand Faced Fox was mentioned, Cathy suddenly thought of something, and her face turned deathly pale.
Could It be that Sherry is… Thousand Faced Fox?”
