Chapter 84
“Fredrica is so all over the place, constantly looking for this and that, always belittling us. It’s clear she’s feeling guilty.” Winona put on her helmet confidently and said. “Don’t worry, we’ll definitely win this round
“Don’t underestimate them!” Cathy tactfully reminded Winona without revealing her own stance.
This time, she wouldn’t give Sherry any more chances. Cathy’s lips curved slightly, almost imperceptibly, into a cold smile. In her view, all of Sherry’s actions today were intended to get lan’s attention. In the end, she had not given up on lan! She wanted to show Sherry through facts that she was always superior to her.
Winona didn’t say anything more and just nodded. She was still reeling from the embarrassment of her previous failure, but that only fueled her determination to give it her best shot.
As she thought this, she turned to get the equipment she needed as the co–pilot. But as she turned, she happened to see Fredrica and Sherry on the other side, and the equipment in their hands fell with a loud noise.
“Cathy, Cathy, look!” Winona pulled Cathy and kept calling.
Cathy followed her gaze.
She saw Fredrica using a blindfold to cover Sherry’s eyes…
“What are they doing?” Winona, who was usually quite mature as a co–pilot, was now panicking, as if she had seen a ghost.
“In a high–speed race like this, racers would give anything for extra pairs of eyes, but they are blindfolding themselves. Isn’t that inviting disaster?”
Cathy’s eyes also showed surprise. The others were dumbfounded as well. The two people involved were the only ones who didn’t seem to be bothered, still chatting and laughing away.
“We’re here to race today, why do you have to provoke lan again?” Sherry adjusted the blindfold over her eyes.
Fredrica snorted, “Scum men and scum women should be exterminated. He rarely shows up, so whenever we can catch him, we should make the most of it.”
She wanted to make lan feel uncomfortable at every opportunity.
Sherry couldn’t help but break into a cold sweat. Offending anyone was bad enough, but offending Fredrica was terrifying.
“Besides, that previous move had a hint of guilt, and it helped to lower their guard. It’s a tactic,” Fredrica said.
Sherry chuckled, “That previous move helped to lower their guard, but what about this crazy move?” She pointed to the blindfold covering her face
Fredrica snapped her fingers, “This is to make them collapse after feeling smug. Let’s see how they compete with us!”

In the end, Fredries wanted to use these psychological tactics to forment Cathy repeatedly.
Sherry understood her intention. The different amounts of light entering each eye could be disorienting. Fully covering her eyes was better
It was a move they had drilled repeatedly during their training, so it posed no challenge.
However, others didn’t see it that way. Especially Winona, who was so angry that he pounded the car, “What does this mean? Are they looking down on us?”
Blindfolded racing was like saying that even if they couldn’t see, they were still better than us. It was not just disdain, it was complete humiliation!
Cathy’s fingers tightened on the steering wheel, leaving a dent. She thought she should have been tougher back then and frozen Sherry to death in the snow. If she had, she wouldn’t be causing trouble for herself today!
Suppressing her anger, she took a few deep breaths and then turned to look at Winona. “They’re just playing mind games. They want us to lose our composure. If you act like this, they’ll definitely succeed.”
Hearing Cathy’s words, Winona took a deep breath, calmed down, and started checking the route on the dedicated navigation system.
While they were focused, the others couldn’t help but discuss the situation.
“Racing blindfolded at night, are they not afraid for their lives?”
“For the sake of preserving their self–image, they might end up causing a tragedy. Is it even worth it?”
Knowing about Sherry’s relationship with Cathy and Ian, many leaned towards thinking Sherry had gone crazy trying to get back at them.
“People who dare to blindfold themselves must have their own abilities. Anyone capable of driving is not a fool; they know what they’re doing.” Michael had become Sherry’s die–hard fan, always supporting her.
“But still, Sherry’s actions are too obvious. She’s already divorced and free to marry whoever she wants. Why keep bothering them?”
“That’s right. Look how magnanimous Cathy is. Sherry keeps provoking her, and she keeps being polite and yielding
Many people began to side with Cathy. From tonight’s situation, it seemed that Sherry was trying to pick on Cathy and make her uncomfortable.
“Sherry has been silent and unknown in the Kemnis family for four or five years, not causing any trouble. Now suddenly she’s making a move. There must be a reason behind it. We, as outsiders, don’t know what’s going on with them, so we shouldn’t discuss other people’s private matters casually.” Robin spoke calmly.
Having said that, he casually brushed off the nail dust on his hand, jumped into the car, and slammed the door shut.
Hearing his words, the others felt that he made sense, so they nodded in agreement.
At this moment, instead of blaming Sherry, they began to wonder how much Injustice she had suffered.
Of course, very few people knew about her life in the Kemnis family for the past four to five years, and since lan never appeared with her in public, it was evident that their relationship was complicated.
After all, she was legally married into the Kemnis family, but they treated her so coldly, which is not right.
“Take your positions—”
The order was given.
The two teams took their positions.
Robin also stepped on the accelerator.
Michael’s eyes lit up. “Robin, what are you doing?”
“Watching the live version is more interesting than watching the race on the monitor.”
“I want to join too!” He pushed away the co–pilot next to Robin and jumped in.
The sudden sound of the shot pierced the silence.
Vroom-
Vroom-
Two sounds.
The screech of tires echoed as two cars raced out at lightning speed.
Robin also stepped on the accelerator and followed.
The car had to pass the bend before entering the off–road track.
The dense foliage made the sharp bend feel more confining, causing people to feel flustered even in the daylight.
The two cars spun in the lane, like two beans bouncing in a frying pan, in danger of being thrown out at any
moment!
“Ah!
“Ya!
Everyone exclaimed in shock.
Especially Sherry’s car, which almost hit the edge of the lane in every turn!
Every time, it was just a little bit away from going off the track!
At one point, half of the wheel was suspended, relying only on the other two wheels to narrowly avoid crashing!
The car’s engine roared, and the wheels kicked up a cloud of dust and sand!.
If it were a performance, everyone would surely applaud and cheer.
But this was a race, and it was too dangerous,
Cold sweat rolled down everyone’s faces.
“See, blindfolded racing is suicidal! I guarantee that Sherry won’t make it through the bend!” Someone announced their death in advance.
In the lane, Cathy stepped on the accelerator, making various turns with the steering wheel.
Although there were many close calls, she was noticeably steadier than Sherry.

Taking advantage of the moment when Sherry’s car was almost off the track, she accelerated and overtook!
“Damn, damn!”
Behind them, Robin and Michael cursed in turns.
They both anxiously watched Sherry. Michael even clenched his fists and pounded the car frame. “Hang on, you can’t crash, you can’t!”
Though Robin was worried, he wasn’t as excited as Michael, as he had never seen Sherry’s ghostly technique before.
He just simply didn’t want Cathy to win.
At the monitoring station.
Ian smoked two cigarettes and walked back.
The person in charge of monitoring quickly switched the screens.
When Jan saw the scene of Sherry with her face covered in white cloth, his hand tightened on the chair!
in the race!
Sherry was actually blindfolded during the race!
She was really risking her life!
His hand tightened even more, veins popping up on his forehead!
His eyes widened like never before, and he tightly clenched his lips!
His face looked tense and rigid!
“Look, Ian is concerned about Miss Cathy.” Someone didn’t understand and thought he was worried for Cathy.
Besides the few years when he lost his sight, lan hadn’t acted this way in a long time.
He brought his fist down heavily, smashing the chair into two pieces!
Then he took out his phone and called Robin, “End this race immediately, right now!”
