knew Diana didn’t want to be humiliated like this, but this was Starlight Media’s place, and they could arrange things however they wanted. If she caused trouble again, she wouldn’t be able to stay here.
“Mom, let’s go.” She wasn’t in the mood to explain and pulled Pamela outside.
I pursed my lips as if nothing had happened.
Not long after, lan and Cathy approached
They sat down.
Right test to me.
“Is that woman Sherry?”
Finally, someone recognized me and spoke in a low voice.
“Didn’t she marry Mr. Lan? Why…”
Although I had hidden myself for the past four years and never showed my face, back then, Cathy had deceived others and was caught by fan and the reporters at the scene.
It was I who stood next to lan and announced that we had peacefully broken up a long time ago. She was lan’s current girlfriend, and they were preparing to get married.
At that time, this was
quite a big deal, and everyone had some memories associated with it.
The gazes of those around became silent as they turned their attention to me, Jan, Cathy, and Thomas. The scent of gossip grew stronger.
Thank y
you for your concern, we have already divorced,” I stood up to clarify
Today, at least I maintained the image of Thomas’s girlfriend, so I couldn’t make everyone feel that Thomas was involved with a married woman
Initially, Ian was indifferent, but my explanation made him furrow his brow
His expression turned dark!
In his thoughts, I was bragging about being favored by another min right after my divorce,
I didn’t care about what he was thinking. I sat down, bowed my head, and discussed the auction with Thomas
The auction was about to begin.
“lan, I want that diamond crown.
As the auctioneer raised the red fabric of the last lot, Cathy called out in a low voice.
That diamond crown was the most expensive item tonight, and it was also my planned auction item
Thad always been haunted by a dream of wearing a diamond crown and organizing a grand wedding with the person I loved the most
Although that dream had faded away, my love for the crown had never wavered.
When Cathy said she wanted the diamond crown, her eyes turned towards ine, carrying a challenging look on her bright and elegant face.
Did Cathy notice that I had been admiring that crown?
Snatching someone else’s husband and wanting to take away what the other person cherished the most?
Of course, I wouldn’t let it go.
When Cathy raised the bidding paddle, I also raised mine.
8,100,000”
8.200.000
The staff announced the price on the stage.
The starting price for this diamond crown was not low, and only Cathy and I hid for t
The two of us aimed to win the diamond crown.
Another battle ensued.
Doing something meaningful once again….
The
eyes of those present became more and more significant, all fixed on the two of us
The price quickly soared to 20 million dollars
“Ding.” My phone suddenly rang, indicating a new message.
I looked down and was stunned when I saw the number the message was from
It was lan!!
Could it be that he knew my phone number?
I thought it was simply magic.
The message s
sent by lan was just a few words: “Don’t overestimate yourself!”
Simple as always
Clearly, he thought I didn’t have the ability to buy the diamond crown, and my bidding was purely out of anger.
Ah!
Because he liked to think that way, I would let him think whatever he wanted.
I raised my paddle again, “40 million!”
Suddenly, it jumped from 20 million to 40 million, leaving all the audience gasping in surprise.
Cathy, who had been bidding all along, slowly put her paddle down, her face filled with endless pity, looking quite pitiful.
“45 million.” lan suddenly took Cathy’s bidding paddle and started bidding on her behalf
As soon as he finished speaking another exclamation followed
40 million wasn’t a small amount, yet there were still people willing to follow!
I also looked at Jan.
Was he trying to help his lover?
It turned out that genuinely loving someone ment caring for them unconditionally, even if the other person was just slightly revented.
He wanted to protect Cathy, but I had no obligation to do the same
I promptly followed, “50 million!”
Next, the price soared by 5 million and suddenly reached 90 million!
This price had far exceeded the value of the diamond crown itself
Chapter 28
“Sherry, can we discuss this?” Cathy suddenly stand up.
“I really like this diamond crown, and I still want to wear it at my wedding. The you, Sherry, please let me have it don’t hid anymore”
She looked sincere, and after saying those words, she couldn’t to help but glance at lan as if the was suffering from love.
I pursed my lips.
If I didn’t let go, they would definitely think that I couldn’t let go of lan and didn’t want them to get married.
It was just a diamond crown.
I felt that there e was no reason to compete, and I was ready to put down my paddle.
“Ninety million once, ninety million twice, ninety million thrice…”
“One hundred million dollars!”
Just when everyone thought the diamond crown would belong to Tan and Cathy, another voice shouted.
Smoothly.
Simple!
