Chapter 10: I Missed The Fun
Baron
Luke went towards the submissive's locker room while I headed to Justine's office. I gave a quick knock on the door and opened it without waiting for his invitation to come in. He is just coming out of his attached bathroom, buttoning his pants and his dark hair is still damp. A little droplet is leaking down his bare chest.
Like most of the dominants, he talks and shows off perfect muscles. As the master Dom of the Sanctuary Of Sins, his dominant aura is the strongest here and forces respect from all the members of the club, but being my childhood friend, he doesn't impress me much and I easily ignore his scowl when I walk into his office and go get myself a bottle of water in his fridge.
“Go ahead, make yourself at home.” He snorted with heavy sarcasm at the same time as he was lacing his combat boots.
“Good evening to you too.” I replied with a huge smile.
“I have missed you too this week.” I cheered, and eventually gave him a hug once he had leaned back up.
“Jerk, how was your trip?” He asked as we both walked towards the couch and plopped down.
“Great, I came back early this morning.” I replied, and stretched my arms with a yawn.
“How are your parents doing?”
“Ummmh…”
How should I respond to that? My adorable parents have worked hard all their lives. I am their only child, but I don't grin I ever missed having siblings. When you work as much as my parents have, from eight in the morning till nearly midnight, six days a week, raising one child is largely enough, I guess. They took their time before they decided to have a child, considering they were both in their middle of thirties when I was born. At sixty now, they are getting really tired and over the few days I spent with them, I realized that they are getting old. Working the whole day is becoming difficult for them, so much so that I suggested they should open only for dinner. I also tried to talk them into retiring.
I actually had a long conversation with my mother about the retirement subject. I found out that my father particularly aged in the last few months. I didn't see him, and I am a bit worried. My mouth has also been tackling this difficult topic with him, but the man is full of pride and even worse. He is as stubborn as a mule. In one or our father-to-son moment of cooking, I brought up the subject but was nicely and firmly dismissed from the kitchen.
“Baron?” Justine shook my shoulder, bringing me back to reality.
“Is something wrong with your parents?” He asked with concern on his face.
All my friends have always loved my parents, it is not because they are mine but honestly, it would be hard to feel otherwise towards them. They are so generous, kind and open-minded. I am just fully aware of how lucky I was to have such parents and Justine knows it. As a child, he much preferred spending time at my place than at his.
“No, not really. They just looked a bit more tired than they were the last few months.”
“They are not getting younger.” He sighed.
I wonder if he thinks something about his own parents, who ate even older than mine, or all his sisters. This is not a topic you want to broach with him though, so I keep my question to myself.
“That is the problem, I wish they would sell the restaurant and enjoy a well-deserved retirement. They have worked more than enough, I believe and saved enough money. But my father is not at all ready to leave everything behind for now.”
“It sucks.” He mumbled.
“Yes, it does. Hopefully, my mother will make him change his mind. I proposed to her to help them buy a house in Lagos, close to my uncle's. It could be a good argument from him to give in.”
At that moment, the door opens and our friend Grayson barges in, dressed in his brown leather pants and combat boots. Our usual outfit at the Sanctuary Of Sins, nothing original in that kind of club but this is how we like it. Grayson seems frustrated and he heavily sat down next to me.
“Hey, guys.” He muttered.
“Hey, master CEO. How are you doing?” I tried to cheer.
“Stop calling me that, Baron.” He grunted.
“Justine, do you have a painkiller? I have a terrible headache.”
“Is that what sets you in such a wonderful mood?” I asked as Justine went to fetch a tablet from a drawer of his desk. He returned back with a bottle of water and handed them to him.
“Thanks,” he muttered before he chugs down the pills, reclining into the couch with his eyes closed.
“I am not in a bad mood, just had a complicated day.” He sighed.
“Has Logan been naughty?” I teased. Justine stifles a laugh, making me think he obviously knows something I don't know.
“Can I tell him?” Justine asked eagerly, chuckling below his breath.
“Go ahead, enjoy yourself.” Grayson replied sternly.
“Okay, I will make it short. Logan's friend is back in town, you know, that Jasper guy. He and Logan wanted to spend the weekend together, go to a club and last night they were here. Grayson had agreed only if they went to The Quilox so that he could keep an eye on them and…”
“I wasn't even keeping an eye on them!” Grayson interrupted with irritation.
“I was with you at the Sanctuary Of Sin. Fúck, for once I wasn't stalking him.”
“Yes, right, still you were somewhat in the same venue.” Justine huffed back.
“Anyway, the boys managed to get a little alcohol into their system, a bit too much actually.”
“How did they do that? I thought your bartender knew him?” I asked, causing Grayson to snort.
“There is a new bartender at The Quilox and Logan made sure to choose him instead of others.” Justine grumbled.
“But Luke eventually noticed their little game and thought it was wise to warn and rat on Logan. So we decided to go and check on them for a while, and after a few minutes, we realized they were much more than tipsy and some other men were getting way too close to them.”
“Don't tell me you interrupted their fun?” I exclaimed, falsely shocked.
I would have probably done the same. Now what truly surprised me is that Grayson didn't have at least two security guys watching over Logan. The poor guy is barely allowed to go to the loo on his own. Whatever, I can see the outcome coming and this is promising.
“We did, Grayson picked up Logan and I picked up Jasper. We took them to my office to have a little conversation.” Justine explained.
Oh dear, I can totally picture the scene, but I am a bit concerned about Logan's reaction. I bet Grayson and Justine were in their outfits and the little man had tried to keep his lifestyle a secret from his friend so far.
“Wait, I thought Logan didn't want his friend to know about his lifestyle?” I asked Grayson.
To be honest, I never really understood how they have managed, but after nearly a year being together, Logan has been able to keep the nature of his relationship with Grayson secret to his friend. Not sure what his point is, hiding this from his best friend, but I doubt this is still the case now.
“Honestly, I didn't really give a fuck about it yesterday. Anyway, he was close to telling him soon.” Grayson said.
“Logan had promised to behave and even if he is legal now, he is not allowed to drink that much.”
Too bad for him. I bet someone's ass is painful right now.
“And what happened next?” I asked.
“Grayson went all dominant on Logan while his intoxicated friend kept giggling and then Jasper passed out.” Justine said with a chuckle, clearly enjoying himself.
“Grayson took both of them to his house and they had to give him some explanation this morning.”
“Fuck, why do I always miss the fun moments?” I said and Justine burst out laughing.
“You haven't missed much, don't worry. The fun part is tonight.” He said, wiggling his eyebrows.
Oh my goodness, does he mean what I think he means?
“Don't tell me the famous friend is coming to Sanctuary Of Sins!” I exclaimed with exaggerated stupefaction and I immediately got my answer when I saw Grayson's scowl and heard Justine's new burst of laughter.
“Jasper wants to find out more about the lifestyle, " Logan told him about the Sanctuary Of Sins and the young man insisted on coming tonight. Logan begged me to let him and I gave in, so he is here with us tonight.”
“Interesting.” I muttered, trying to remember what the young man looked like from the one time I saw him from afar.
