Chapter 156 Chapter 156
Chapter 156 Chapter 156
Ethan's POV
I returned to my room, while wearing a smile on my face. I didn't feel the heat any longer and I knew the reason for that. I had just gone to Lucian's room and he had helped me relieve it. Gosh. Omegas were really going through a lot and we were still being looked down on.
I remembered my time in the lab that experimented on omegas. It was legal because no one cared about what omegas did. Even if anyone were to file a complaint, I doubt that the officials will look into it.
I returned to my room and I saw Marcus standing near the bathroom with a towel around his waist.
“We have you been dude? I was worried when I woke up and didn't see you.”
“Yeah, I went to pick up something, nothing much,”
Marcus shrugged and entered the bathroom. He didn't ask any more questions. Owen on the other hand had been staring at me since I got into the room, and it made me really uncomfortable. I stared back at him and he looked away with neither of us saying a word. Was I overthinking or was Owen always staring at me these days?
I got prepared for the day and headed to the training room with my training gear. Since the academy resumed, we had just been sparring, and it made me feel a bit bored. I felt like the academy should add other forms of training. I got to the training room and heard that training was going to commence later and we needed to do classwork, which was more of theory.
I looked around with a frown as people left the training room for the class. I was a bit taken aback because we hadn't had any physical classes. The only time we had classes was when the parent student visitation wanted to commence and the academy decided to stretch things a bit for us.
I decided not to think about it too much. I looked around the bodies of students exiting the training room, I didn't see Lucian among any of them. Maybe he hadn't headed out of his room yet.
I got to the classroom. It was big enough to contain all of us. I relaxed in my chair and when I looked up, Lucian walked over to me and sat by my side.
“Where were you?” I whispered.
“Missed me already?” Lucian said with a grin. He slipped his hand on top of mine and rubbed it. I couldn't help but smile. The classroom was noisy as no instructor had come inside.
Adrian walked past me and maintained eye contact with me and Lucian for too long that I wondered what was wrong. He walked and sat near Owen. I glanced back at them before returning my focus to the front.
A tutor entered a few minutes later. It was Sebastain, and two other men followed him. The hall became quiet immediately.
Sebastian was the first to speak. “The academy has come to a conclusion about some things that would be added to the curriculum.”
Sebastian cleared his throat before continuing. “These activities have been drafted to accommodate both Alphas and Omegas and no one would be left out of it.”
He stepped aside and motioned to the unfamiliar men near him. The man moved to the front.
“Hello students, I'm Leo. I hope everyone is doing great.”
“We are,” the students chorused.
Leo continued speaking. “The academy wants to involve sports for all categories. For now, we'd be prioritizing basketball, hockey, baseball and swimming.”
There was a murmur among the crowd of students. It sounded more like excitement as I heard some people behind slapping their hands together, excitedly.
Leo allowed the students to revel in it before continuing.
“This activity is meant to improve the academy and make studying here to be more enjoyable. I would be the games coach. Anyone who is interested in the games should register with me. Students are allowed to join more than two sports clubs, but not more than three clubs.”
Sebastian took the lead after Leo was done. “I am sure what Leo said was clear. Is there anything that is not understood?”
A student raised his hand. Sebastian nodded that he could go ahead. Some people turned to look at the student behind.
“What about football? Isn't there anything like that?”
Sebastain sighed and placed two fingers on his forehead like he was pissed off by the question.
“If there was football, the sports manager would have mentioned it. Or Leo, is there any football?”
Leo shook his head. “No”
Sebastian turned to the student. “I hope that answers your question.”
Sebastian left the room with the men who had accompanied him. They hadn't even bothered telling us if that was the end of their announcement or if we would still have training after that.
People began dispersing from the classroom while some sat in groups, discussing the teams they were going to join. I looked around in boredom.
Lucian held my hand. “So, what do you think? What group are you going to join?”
I sighed. “I don't know yet. I've never really been interested in sports or games.”
“Really?” Lucian said as he looked at me. “Maybe you can try hockey. It sounds fun.”
I nearly laughed. I had tried playing hockey once in high school and the alphas there wasted no time in bullying the hell out of me until I was forced to stop playing. Honestly, hockey was one of the games I guessed I could play and I wondered how Lucian was able to guess that.
“What are you saying? Should we register for hockey? We'd register together.”
I gave it a brief thought, then I answered with a yes. Lucian squeezed my palm like he was proud of my decision.
“Okay, do you want to train, or what do you want to do now? I guess there's no academy activities today. They're probably giving us some time to prepare for the games.”
My stomach growled and I looked down. “We should get food to eat first.”
