Chapter 150 Chapter 150
Chapter 150 Chapter 150
I looked up and saw someone standing at the entrance. I gasped. It wasn't just someone, it was Adrian. He shoved both hands into his pockets and walked towards us.
He looked at me with an indifferent expression and turned towards Nick and Mason. “Is there any reason why both of you are doing this?”
Nick and Mason exchanged glances, then faced Adrian.
“He's a lying omega. He deserves it.”
Mason picked up the stick and wanted to hit me again, but Adrian said something that caused his hand to hang in the air.
“I'm going to report this. I hope you know that the academy has rules concerning alphas bullying omegas. You're going to get removed from the academy.”
I noticed Mason's palm curling into a fist my his side. I thought he was going to punch Adrian or fight with him in some sort of way. He hissed and held Nick's hand.
“Let's go. We'd deal with the fool later.”
They left the lab. I was still breathing heavily and kneeling on the floor. Adrian stretched out his hand to me. I reluctantly placed my hand in his and he supported me to my feet.
“Thank you so much Adrian. I don't know what I would have done.”
Adrian frowned. “Save your thanks. I don't need it. I don't even like you. I'd have left you to be beaten up.”
I looked at Adrian and the colour drained from my face. He was still the same grumpy Adrian. I smiled and muttered another thank you even though I knew Adrian didn't want it.
Adrian rolled his eyes at me when I thanked him again. I was about to leave the lab when his voice halted me.
“What are your plans?”
I turned around and faced him, as I didn't fully understand what he meant. Before I could ask any question, he continued talking.
“Are you planning for me to save you everytime? You know those miscreants wouldn't stop bullying you. So tell me, what really are your plans.”
I took a deep breath and lowered my gaze. “I really don't know.”
“Or you could report then to the academy authorities. That also works.”
I sighed again. “I can't believe this. Nick and Mason were my best friends just a short while ago and now they hate me like I'm the worst thing that I ever happened to them.”
Adrian shrugged. “Shit happens. You have to move on with life.”
I sighed again.
“Thank you,”
Adrian forced a smile, the type of brief smile that didn't show his teeth.
“Let's have our meal together at the dining hall. I think them seeing you with me wouldn't allow them to harass you,”
“Oh, okay.” We walked out of the lab and the walk to the dining hall was quiet. Neither of us said anything to each other.
I had a ton of questions running through my mind. I was wondering why Adrian was seeming so nice. This was the Adrian who hated me for being paired with him, and even refused allowing me to the paired with someone else. I shook the thoughts out of my head. Maybe he was just being humane.
We got to the dining hall and I got my tray of food. I noticed Nick and Mason actually glaring at me. Mason gave me the middle finger from afar with a stern face. I returned the gesture and raised my middle finger at him. I noticed his expression grow serious and he glared harder at me. I simply chuckled and looked away.
“What’s funny?” Adrian asked as he looked at me.
“Nothing. Nothing at all.”
He returned his focus to his food and continued eating. We ate silently the entire while. Then I saw him, the person who made me stomach do the little flip thing anytime he was close. I swallowed hard and stared at him. He was sitting with Ethan. They really were close. That was something I had noticed. If only Ethan could help introduce me.
“You've got eyes on Lucian. You're even drooling.” Adrian interrupted me. I quickly looked away and touched my mouth.
“I'm just kidding. You're not drooling, but I know the look of someone who's interested in something.”
“Stop talking nonsense Adrian. You don't know what you're saying.”
Adrian chuckled and glanced at Lucian and then back at me. Then he raised his brows twice like he was teasing me.
“Fine. I like Lucian. It's just a crush. It's nothing else.” I felt my cheeks redden as I said that. I blushed slightly and even smiled.
“Let me burst your hopes and tell you that Lucian is in a relationship. His boyfriend is seated right next to him.”
I narrowed my eyes in confusion. I glanced at where Lucian was seated. The only person seated next to him was Ethan, so what exactly was Adrian saying.
“You mean Lucian and Ethan are dating?”
An amused smile appeared on Adrian's face and he nodded his head. “You didn't know? They are so damn close. Almost everyone in the academy knows.”
My mouth was open and I later regained my composure and closed it. I couldn't believe what Adrian was saying and I hoped it was a joke. Ethan was my roommate and I had told him the previous day about my crush on Lucian and he had told me Lucian had a boyfriend. So he was the boyfriend. I felt betrayed even though I wasn't supposed to feel like that.
I didn't know if I should confront Ethan about it, but what exactly will I tell him.
Adrian looked at me again. “You seem shocked. At least I told you before you wasted your time talking to him. I'm off.”
Adrian stood up, nudged me on the shoulders and walked away. I continued looking at Lucian and Ethan. They were talking and didn't notice that I was looking at them.
I looked away. There was no need to confront Ethan about it. Maybe he didn't want to tell me about his relationship with Lucian and he had his reasons for it.
My phone beeped and I glanced at it. It was a message from Adrian.
