Chapter 143 Chapter 143
Chapter 143 Chapter 143
LUCIAN'S POV
I wasn't sure where I was leading Ethan either. I thought we would go to my dorm, but I wanted us to stay somewhere together and probably go to eat later.
I couldn't imagine how far I had come with Ethan. To think that initially, I just wanted something casual with him, but right now, our relationship had blossomed into something bigger and better and I loved it that way. I was no longer the alpha who messed around with several omegas. I had just Ethan and I was sure that Ethan had just me.
I couldn't stop being grateful that Ethan had forgiven me and allowed me to have a second chance. It was all thanks to the lab incident that made us able to bond again. It wasn't like I was happy that he was taken into the lab, but that event helped strengthen our relationship.
I stared at his face. He had no idea how handsome he was. I wondered if other alphas had tried hitting on him previously. We leaned against the railings of the balcony. He was on his phone, oblivious of the fact that I was staring at him. Those soft lips, I wanted to touch them right now.
I could still remember our time together during the night. It was one of the best. I remembered Ethan acting worried after I came in him. He was acting like he was a woman and he could get pregnant from it. It was cute to watch. I wished I had teased him more that there was a way he could actually get pregnant. I would have loved to see his facial expression.
He was wearing the leather bracelet I had gotten for him from the antique store. I almost thought he wasn't going to wear that stuff. I knew I had to get him more gifts. I loved seeing him using the things I got for him.
I let out a deep breath. The academy had announced the upcoming screening. It meant that most omegas may end up leaving the academy. I had to train harder with Ethan. I couldn't let him slack. He had fought so hard to enter the academy and be by my side and I couldn't let that slide away.
Ethan looked up from his phone. He was looking at me. “Where are we going from here? Should we grab food or…?”
“We'd go to my dorm, but let's spend some time here before we go.”
Ethan shrugged. He didn't say anything and he directed his focus back to his phone. I wanted to lean closer to him and kiss him, but I swallowed hard. I didn't want to draw any attention to myself. Even if this was a lonely area that people hardly passed, I still didn't want to do it.
I didn't know the impression that most people had of me at the academy. I wondered if people already knew that I was into men. There were some girls at the academy who threw themselves at me. One of them had confessed her love to me, called me handsome and cute and asked if we could have a relationship.
I had politely declined. Since my teenage years, I had already known what I was. I knew that I was into men and not women. It was just a feeling that came naturally and my father didn't seem to mind about it. In fact, he supported my love interests. Although at that time I was just a playboy. I dated omegas and discarded them for the next one. That was my life from my teenage years until I got to the academy.
And it all changed when I met Ethan. He was different from any omega that I had dated. Even though my father had sent me on a mission with him, I still ended up falling deeply for him.
I sighed and stared at him again. He was still on his phone. This was the same person who I had fallen for and who had made me feel different in every way. Right now, he was seated there, oblivious of the kind of effect he had on me.
Oh. I couldn't wait for him to come to my dorm a second time and we did what we always did. I was glad Ethan was warming up to me even in intimacy. He was no longer that shy boy who reacted shyly anytime anything about intimacy was mentioned.
I remembered how he had hid the mate bond from me and how he had rejected me all because he didn't want to be mates with a man. He had come here because of a girl and I had successfully changed his beliefs and made him gay.
He remained focused. He wasn't aware of the things that were going on through my mind. He had a relaxed expression on his face and he was smiling lightly. I guessed he was watching something that made him laugh.
“Look at this,” he laughed and showed me something on his phone. “Isn't it funny?”
I took the phone from him and looked at what he was seeing. I smiled. It was a skit that I had already seen on my own phone. I returned the phone to him. He continued laughing. Even his laugh sounded cute and light like he wasn't even trying.
“Let's get something to eat.” I said.
Ethan looked up. He tucked his phone into his pocket. He got up and looked at me.
“Okay,”
We walked towards the dining hall. I noticed Ethan walked slower than me, so I slowed my pace to keep up with him. I held his hand. Our fingers were interlocked in each other's.
As we got to the door, I paused. I had just bumped into someone. Liquid splashed on my shirt and stained my coloured shirt.
“Oh my god,” I heard Ethan say.
I raised my head to look at the person who had bumped into me. He stood there with an apologetic stare.
“I'm sorry.” He said and tried to clean my shirt with the handkerchief in his hand.
