93. Exotic? No. Dangerous? Yes.
93. Exotic? No. Dangerous? Yes.
Emara Stone
“Your scent..” I read in a whisper tone, “He inhales deeply, closing his eyes, It does things to me that you cannot imagine, Fatima.”
Oh my god! Just kiss her already.
I twist on my bed, clutching onto my phone as I finally get to the spiciest chapter of the book Kidnaped by a Psycho.
“All I think about is chaining you.. Tasting you.. His lips part and he leans in slowly, Kissing you.”
DO IT! Claim her like the emotionally unstable hot man you are!
“A faint light reflects on his fangs, and they glow brightly, revealing how sharp and pointy they are.” I read slowly.
“She shivers in his caged arms as he brings his lips just above hers.”
I bite my own lips and stop breathing. This is so fucking intense!
“Are you afraid of me? He whispers against her trembling lips, slowly letting his teeth graze just below her mouth as he states, You are afraid of me. Why?”
My stomach flips, and I flip on the bed too as I desperately read next.
“Oh God! She inhales shakily, staring into his cold, dark eyes, I am afraid if you kiss me.. Her eyes drop to his waiting lips, I’ll stop pretending that I want to go home.”
YES! Confess to this unhinged man that you are panty wet for him!
Suddenly, my phone explodes loudly into a song, slipping from my fingers.
🎵 Oops I did it again, I played with your heart🎶
My stomach drops as I see an unknown number glowing on my screen.
Who the hell calls at this hour? Unless its bad news.. Or a psychopath.
Just like in the book!
Hesitation and curiosity bite me as I stare at the screen.
Don’t pick up. Don’t be stupid, Emara!
But I am stupid, like Fatima and answer the call.
“Emarah..” A heavy, uneven breath of a man slides through the phone. Just like a psycho killer.
“It’s me.” He states roughly, “Your.. Dakotah.”
Something skips a beat in my chest and suddenly my heart starts beating wildly, as if recognising that something far more dangerous than psychopath is on the opposite line.
Vision from last night crashes into my mind, how he cornered me and made me watch him kiss me, enjoying every second like a sadist he is.
I shake my head, telling myself that wasn’t Dakota. But who is this right now?
“Why are you calling me in the middle of night?” I ask him calmly, against my raging heartbeats.
“Because I lost my hearth.” He breathes heavily before whispering, “And I lost my phone too.”
“Huh?” My brows furrow in confusion.
“But I didn’t want to lose contact with youh.” He mumbles quietly, “So.. This is my new number.”
Wait.. He doesn’t remember?
How he crushed his own phone in his fist last night like it was a soda can, then tossed it into the corner as if he would never need it again!
That means, he is Dakota. Not his beast.
“You could have just texted me.” I lie back on my bed, staring at the ceiling.
“I know. I know.” His voice reaches my ears, low and raspy, “But I wanted to hear yourh voice.”
“At 2 AM?” I ask, genuinely surprised.
What is wrong with him tonight?
“I know it’s late, but..” He pauses and takes a deep breath that somehow travels straight through my body, “I am thinking about youh.”
I feel a thud in my chest, and then everything goes silent around me. All I could hear was my own breathing and his unsteady breaths coming through the phone.
“What are you thinking about me?” I hear myself ask as I turn onto my mattress, holding the phone lazily.
“I am lying in yourh bed.” Dakota murmurs, his voice low and soft like raindrops against a window as he whispers, “Staring at the moon. Imagining youh are lying next to me.. And we are both watching the moon together.”
My fingers draw the curtains open, and I see the moon brightly hanging in the sky, glowing like a bulb in the dark night.
“It’s so beautiful.” He hushes, his words slow and hazy, like he is sinking deeper into some dream, “Round. White. Shining.. Just like yourh face.”
I stare at the moon, mesmerised by how it glows so pure white that one can hardly see its dark spots.
“But I want to see youh.” Dakota pauses. Even his pause feels like stillness in a forest.
I could hear his slow, heavy breathing on the other end, the kind of sound that should be illegal after midnight.
“I want to see youh smiling.. Laughing.. Looking back at me.” He draws a deep breath, then slowly exhales, “I miss youh, Emarah.”
I blink under the moonlight, listening to his slurry words while my heartbeats stay strangely quiet.
“I miss watching youh, like a living doll breathing slowly and stirring in her sleep. So cute. So peaceful.” He whispers dreamily.
“I want youh here, baby. With me. In this blanket. Cosy and warm. Next to me in a world that feels so cold.” Dakota hushes, his voice so gentle, almost fragile.
No arrogance. No dominance. Nothing like the terrifying beast I have seen before.
Just.. Him.
“Wow! That’s so romantic.” A low giggle escapes me as I shake my head, “I want to be high on whatever you are high on.”
Dakota let out a soft chuckle that somehow made my cheeks warm.
“Ma chérie..” He breathes in deeply, as the words roll off his tongue like honey, “Je suis ivre d’amour.”
“Translation, please!” I say, biting my lips.
“I am high on love.” He replies, his voice warm like sunset over the ocean.
“Hmm.. Sounds like an exotic drug to me.” I tease lightly, turning on my bed.
“Exotic? No.” Dakota’s voice drops into deeper, more intimate tone, “Dangerous? Yes.”
Something moves inside my stomach, like butterflies.
“If it’s dangerous, then you should stay away from it.” I tell him, staring at the ceiling.
“I tried.” Dakota whispers, his voice heavy with honesty, “I tried to stay away. Block the urge. Kill these feelings. Run away from the truth.. But I failed.”
A long, heavy silence fills the line, before he murmurs, “It’s too powerful.. And I am too weak.”
Is he talking about his other personality?
“But now, I have accepted my feelings. And there is no going back.” He says like a psychopath on loose.
“Not going back to normal?” I furrow my brows in confusion.
“Hmm..” He takes a slow breath, whispering even slower, “I.. am in love.. with youh, Emarah. For years.”
