54 - Games or Art?
Garber’s POV

Luis is here again and I can't fucking concentrate.

I can't look past his frame without having a hard on. And as if that isn't fucking difficult enough, he's ignoring me.

I know I should do something about it.

My hard on. Him ignoring me.

But when I remember the look he gave me the last time, I can't.

He'll hate me more and if the negative feelings he already had towards me were enough to break my heart, then my body would go down next.

So I just watched.

As he listens in class and responds to the teacher's calls. I watch him.

When it's lunch break, I stand up and go after him like in running on Luis.

The absence of him from my sewing radar would affect all functionalities.

It's fucked, I know.

It's the consequences of my own actions, I know what too.

Everything I did was to protect him. Protect us from those who would actually hurt him.

This was another truth. One that makes me extremely selfish to admit.

So I don't. I just follow him, hide behind a wall when he turns around or gets suspicious.

All this until he reaches the rooftop. I can endure him walking by himself, being by himself but why?

Why in the world is there someone else there?

Welcoming him with a smile? .
Why did the person waiting stand up for a hug and most importantly, why did Luis hug him back?

Actually wrap his hand around his back and smile.

I was too worried about being replaced and watching his rebound have more fun than me when our eyes meet.

His smile contains a dangerous glint.

Of course he knows how I am. Of course he's mocking me and staking his claim.

It's what I'd do.

So when they disengage from the hug and my replacement taps Luis on the shoulder and points to me, I'm stunned.

Too stunned to remember what I was doing.

Luis turns to me and his expression turns sour almost immediately.

He hates me.

Mine falters, my confidence chips away in big chunks like the glaciers melting at the north pole.

“He looks like he's here for you.” Long hair in a low ponytail tail points to me briefly.

Luis glances without actually looking at me.

“I don't know him,” he said with a tone so cold it sent chills down my spine.

I'd taken a long stride to grab him before I remembered the plan.

“You don't know me?!”

He shook his hand off from my hold.

“Please excuse me, I'm trying to have lunch with my friend.”

Friend?
.why was the said friend smiling?

“I didn't know you had friends.”

“Wel he does and if you don't plan on joining us, could you please put an end to the stalking already?” Luis has grabbed his lunch and a game set on his phone.

I was unable to move past his scent, his presence and yet he had no issues.

“I.. I'll join you,” I said and sat right opposite Luis spreading my arms in the armrest of the concrete slab.

I occupied all the space so he had no choice but to look at me.

“We don't need intruders here. Please excuse us,” he said as he held his phone in a tight grip.

I smirked.

“But your friend needs new friends. Maybe he doesn't want you anymore?” I said before I could catch myself.

“The name is Rose,” Ponytail said as he sat beside Luis and mirrored his actions, but instead of a phone. He takes out a canvas and brush.

Who does art during lunch break?
“and I don't appreciate you talking in such degradatory terms.”

My eyes widened.
.not only did he talk back at me, “did you just scold me?”

“Respect!” He said sharply, cutting me short like he wasn't listening in the first place.
He continued after sucking in a deep breath through his teeth “Respect is the basis of our friendship. So if you won't show that modicum of morality, then I'm sorry,” he stood up and pointed towards the door I followed in. “But we can't be friends.”

I'm stocked, unable to cover my mouth from the amount of shock coursing through me right now.

First Luis. Now his friend.

“I wasn't being disrespectful, just stating the facts.”

“You can either apologize or leave.”

As if calling me out wasn't enough, he wants me to apologize?

“As if.” Even the little devil in my home never did.

“Hmm,” a stifled snort.

I lowered my head to see it was Luis. His shoulders shook as he tried to hold back his laughter.

“What's funny?” My cheeks reddened and I didn't want to admit why.

“You are so full of yourself that basic human decency is above you.” He looks up at me and this time not with disgust.

Just a hint of mockery that I'd take anytime and day.

He was looking at me. But eyes on me, my face, my lips, my chest and back to my face.

“I'm sorry,” it came out more of a whisper than anything.

“What?” The mockery on his face changed to that of surprise that's flickering.
.his long eyelashes fluttered as the breeze picked up.

“You're sorry?” He straightened up.

“I am.” I nodded in all seriousness.

We hold each other's gaze for a little longer than a second and sparks fly.

For everything.

“Okay, you both can hug and let's hang out. So what's your name?” Rose asked.

“You don't know who I am?” I'm beyond shocked that I forget everything else.

He shrugs.

Luis gives me a small nod. I guess I wasn't as popular as I thought.

“Garber. Garber Yarros,” I enunciated only to get a nod.

“So what are you into? Games or art?” I turned to what brought me here.

“Luis!”

He cocked his head to the side.

“I'm not on the menu. Games. Or. Art?”

I was going to apologise with a sex scene, but oh well. I hope y'all enjoy this and yes, you can look forward todaily updates 🤭🤭
