Chapter 575

Chapter 575

No matter how harsh Christina's words were, the butler kept his usual cheerful demeanor.

He stood firmly at the door, determined not to let Christina leave under any circumstances.

Christina let out a short, bitter laugh. "You all keep calling me Mrs. Boleyn and swear you respect me, but now..."

Not a shred of freedom.

She shot a cold glance at the butler and turned to go upstairs.

The butler wiped the sweat from his forehead and discreetly glanced at the bodyguards standing ready nearby.

He was genuinely afraid that Christina might force her way out, as it wouldn't be the first time she tried.

Thankfully, Christina did nothing. She simply turned and walked back inside.

One of the bodyguards stepped closer. "Mr. Boleyn's in a tough spot. She may look unbothered on the outside, but she's definitely taken it to heart. If she had made a scene, it would've been easier to handle."

The bodyguard had recently started dating a new girlfriend, and during their conversations, she had opened his eyes to perspectives he had never considered before. Now, for the first time, he understood why Christina so often came across as cold. She wasn't indifferent. She was hurting.

The butler shot him a cold look, "Shut up. Do you know your place? Stop about things that have nothing to do with you."

At a club outside the city.

Robert watched as Sebastian stormed in angrily, a smirk forming on his lips. "Here to accuse me of something? It seems your relationship isn't as strong as you thought if it can be so easily shaken."

Sebastian, seething with anger, kicked the table hard. The heavy table toppled over, spilling drinks everywhere.

Everyone in the room jumped, letting out startled cries. The women closest to the table scrambled back, not wanting to get caught in the chaos.

Sebastian shouted, "Get out."

Nobody needed to be told twice. The room cleared out fast, until only Robert and Sebastian remained.

"What exactly do you want?" Sebastian demanded. "Digging up something like that is low, even for you. You know it's not like you think or how it appears. It was just a misunderstanding."

"So what? Even if we don't talk about what happened between you and that freshman back in school, don't you think Christina can find out on her own?"

"Whether it's true or not doesn't matter. What matters is if Christina believes it."

Robert looked utterly pleased with himself, laughing as he saw Sebastian's frustration.

Sebastian clenched his fists. "What do you want?"

"You don't know? I'm getting revenge. You caused my parents' deaths, and now I want you to lose everything and be left all alone. Of course, you can try to get back at me too."

"Honestly, watching you suffer over Christina day after day is so satisfying."

"Do you think Christina will believe everything I say and join forces with me to take you down?"

The more Robert talked, the darker Sebastian's expression became. He knew he shouldn't let himself be manipulated and should trust in their relationship, but his insecurity gnawed at him.

There had been too many misunderstandings between him and Christina, and even now, she couldn't fully trust him.

That's why he was so scared. Scared that people like Robert would twist things and push her to the wrong decisions.

"If you try to mess with me again, don't blame me for fighting back. I know what you've done, and I have enough to bury you online. Let's see how much of a future you have after that."

"Do whatever you want. I genuinely don't care. Go ahead and put my story out there for the whole world to see. After all, I'm doing this for revenge, for my parents."

Robert showed no fear of Sebastian's threats. He had nothing to hide, and every step he'd taken to get to his current position had been deliberate. Even if some of his actions were questionable, who could claim to be completely clean?

Sebastian glared at him. "Fine, I'll remember this. Just wait and see."

Sebastian had initially planned to beat Robert up, but he changed his mind. Hurting him physically wouldn't be enough; he needed to make him suffer emotionally.

He returned to the office that night, gathering the PR team to start investigating. Soon, they uncovered many of Robert's buried secrets.

But these weren't enough to bring Robert down—they needed more.

As Sebastian reviewed Robert's files repeatedly, he noticed a pattern: Robert seemed to enjoy playing the hero for women when they were at their most vulnerable.

Whether it was Hestia or others, it was always the same routine.

Was he genuinely trying to help these women, or was he using their vulnerability to keep them dependent on him?

One of the assistants finally said what everyone was thinking. "If it happened once or twice, it might be a coincidence. But this many times? It seems deliberate."

The files included information about Hestia.

Hestia came from a family that favored boys over girls. Her parents treated her more like a servant than a daughter.

Robert had shown up exactly when Hestia was at her lowest, and made her feel like someone finally saw her.

As a seasoned player, he easily won over these vulnerable women, who then followed him loyally without betrayal.

Meanwhile, Christina was also reviewing this information. She had spent millions on private investigators to get it.

She read through the details of Robert and Hestia's interactions more than once, then turned her attention to the rest of the files spread out before her.

There were too many coincidences—it had to be intentional.

In the morning, Christina dressed and went to the dining room. Sebastian hadn't returned yet, so she and Estelle started breakfast.

When breakfast was done, Christina set down her fork and looked coldly at the butler. "Am I allowed to leave today?"

"Of course, Mr. Boleyn said you're free to go. Yesterday was a special situation; he was worried about your safety..."

Without waiting for him to finish, Christina took Estelle and left.

Today, she didn't let Estelle ride in the bodyguard's car; they went together.

Christina took Estelle's hand and said, "Have fun at school. If you can't focus, think about other things, but don't let anyone give you a hard time."

"And there's something I need to tell you. I don't want you to hear it from others. Your dad has an illegitimate child now. When that child is born..."

"Is it true?" Estelle's eyes welled up with tears.
