Chapter 22
She had a dinner scheduled for 6pm with Aiden. She had a quick shower and settled for a nude make up look and then headed to her closet to find a dress and shoe to match. After what felt like forever, she settled for an army green silk strapless dress. It had a square neck which showed her collar bone and for some weird reasons it made the look hotter. She paired it with a statement necklace and earrings and finished the look with a white runway scrapin heel. She rubbed her best perfume Oil at the back of her neck and on her wrist. The sound of the doorbell made her check her time to be sure she was on time.
He rented a limousine for her despite the fact that she wanted to drive herself in her car to the venue. It was a five star restaurant. One where the high and mighty usually ate. The limousine stopped in front of the hotel and a staff came to help her down. She walked into the building and noticed the place was so silent. A waiter directed her to her table.
“You look so divine Love. Thank God I booked the whole restaurant. Everyman would have had their eyes on you. I love it when you look so hot for me.”
“You what?”
“Booked the whole restaurant. Baby I didn't want anyone's attention on you. Do you know how many heads would turn when you walk into the restaurant in that hot outfit. Please prepare me days when you want to show up looking spicy.”
“Well you don't look too bad prince charming.”
Was she allowed to define her relationship with Aiden as being fulfilled. She thought. Her love for him was growing stronger as the days go by. He wasn't pressuring her and he even adviced they wait till when they get married. Aiden was an “extra mile man” and he was always willing to that anytime he wanted. Recently, he got her an iced necklace and she was dumbfounded because she didn't know where to wear it too but she wasn't going to tell him that. She would have to find a place.
They were first served appetisers and she couldn't help but fall in love with it. The dinner consisted of them talking about their childhood. She remembered one time when she was little that she was so ill, he had refused to eat anything throughout the whole day until she ate.
The childhood memories they both shared was one that will forever live rent free in their head.
“Babe, do you remember that time when you were stained and I used my jacket to cover the stain. Then you turned back and asked what happened. When I told you, you ran home and avoided me like a plague for a whole week.”
“Of course, what would you have had me do? You got to me my period before I did. And I was embarrassed seeing I had a crush on you.”she replied as she chuckled.
The last meal came in a covered dish and she opened it. She was dazed by what was before her. A diamond ring was sitting in a ring case staring at her. Tears ran down her cheeks.
“Rachel Smith, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to come home to you and you to me. You complete me. I was once a sad man, but throughout my healing journey you were there. I want you to carry my child and bare my name. I want to tour the world with you sitting right next to me. Will you marry me?”
“Yes, I will marry you.”
The sound of wedding bells and her standing in a beautiful wedding dress was a reality that she was getting married. Her dress was a lace bodice with a low neckline and a full skirt. The joy on Aiden's mum's face would make one think she was actually the bride. She made a huge impact in her life and that of her mother. She wished her mother was alive to witness this moment. Even if requested for a simple wedding, Aiden's mum was sure to come up with a simple but yet sophisticated interior decor. Her wedding dress spoke elegance. It was designed by the best fashion designer in France. All she had to do was send her measurements.
“Aiden James, do you take Rachel Smith to be your lawfully wedded wife in sickness and in health till death do you apart?” the priest asked.
“Yes I do.”
“Rachel Smith, do you take Aiden James to be your lawfully wedded husband in sickness and in health, till death do you apart?”
“Yes I do.” she answered.
“By the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”
“Macho man in tears.” she said silently as he lifted her Vail.
“Something got into my eyes.”
She opened the bag and saw the set of red lace panties and bra she had ordered. She changed into it and removed the band that kept her hair in place. She ran her hands through her hair severally and applied the perfume Oil that came along side the panties and bra. It was worth the money she spent on it. Aiden James was going to have the best night of his life.
“How ready are you for me bad boy?” She asked.
“More than ready.”
“Looks like someone wants Ray so fast.”
