Epilogue — Part II

Epilogue — Part II

The room is quiet. Finally.
Alec’s soft breathing drifts from his bed down the hall, steady and content. The twins, after a full hour of giggling and bouncing like feral kittens, have collapsed in a heap of tangled limbs and curls, murmuring dream-language to each other. For a second, I just stand in the doorway and watch them, hand pressed to the doorframe like it could steady the ache in my chest.
They’re ours.
Griffin brushes past behind me, his shoulder grazing mine. He’s shirtless, braid unraveled, eyes a molten red even now—always simmering. Aemon follows after, his hand warm on my lower back, guiding me away from the nursery with that silent authority that always makes me obey before I think about it.
Our room isn’t the biggest. Not the late grand Griffin’s chamber—but Aemon’s old room, a little bit smaller. Worn wood, a window overlooking the black lake.
The walls are thick with memory. It smells like the past, and the first night I ever said yes. The room hasn’t changed. But I have.
Griffin shuts the door behind us, leaning his weight against it with a low exhale. “I thought they’d never sleep.”
Aemon smirks, pulling me flush against him. “That’s because you keep telling them bedtime stories about vampire kings and cursed swords. They think you’re narrating their future.”
Griffin shrugs. “They’re not wrong. Wild little things, those ones.”
I laugh. I shouldn’t. It’s late. My feet ache. I’m pregnant. And still—there’s nowhere in the world I’d rather be than in this room with them.
My mates.
My vampires.
Aemon dips his head, brushing his lips along my throat. His blue eyes flicker with hunger. “You smell like berries.”
I tilt my head. “Blame you. You fed me three plates of fruit.”
He growls low, biting my collarbone gently. “You love it.”
I do. Goddess, I do.
Griffin crosses the room and stops behind me, tall and silent and too beautiful to be real. His hands slide up my waist, curling beneath my breasts. His deep voice is laced with threat. “You’re distracted.”
I blink.
He grips my jaw and tilts my face up. “Thinking again?”
I don’t answer.
I don’t have to.
Because they know. They always know.
That when the night goes still, and the world feels too good—too safe—my mind wanders back. To the girl I used to be. Offered. Chained. Shaking. Human. Standing on an auction block while monsters appraised my blood. And now the vampires bow when I breathe wrong.
Aemon slides a hand beneath my shirt. His palm is cool now—just a shade colder than mine.
“Maybe you need an incentive to stay present, love,” Aemon murmurs, voice low against my ear.
Griffin’s grip tightens. He dips to kiss the side of my neck, his fangs dragging deliberately over the mark he left. He murmurs, “Lie back and spread those pretty legs as wide as you can.” His voice drops lower. Possessive. Starved. “I’m starving.”
The command slices through my thoughts.
My breath catches. Heat lances low. My pulse stutters.
I obey.
Aemon kisses my belly like a prayer as Griffin prowls over.
I stare up at them, my mates.
I thought the auction was the end of my story.
Turns out, it was only the opening bid.
The End!

Author’s note:
Hello, my lovelies!
I hope you enjoyed Blake, Aemon and Griffin’s story.
If you’ve made it here, my heart is full—thank you for stepping into the dark and letting my vampires sink their fangs into your imagination.
If you’re not quite ready to leave the world of supernatural love, I’ve got more stories that might steal your sleep. “Falling in love with my Ex’s Alpha!” is a completed book—just a full emotional ride from start to finish. And if you’re in the mood for curses, a single mother over 26, a one-night stand that turns into something more, and witches, “Alpha Ethan Can’t Love!” is my last completed werewolf romance. Unapologetically tender. Go get bitten.
