RP Chapter 46

RP Chapter 46
They rushed to a different AS vehicle and Kyle drove out of the parking lot like a mad man as he listened to the directions Donovan was giving him along to listening to him explain to Cunningham what was going on. He could hear the boss yell but not what he was yelling, not that it mattered because he wasn’t changing his course. He had to get to Kacey.
~
Kacey kept moving her gaze around as the jerk finally seemed to slow down and come to a different warehouse. She let out a sigh as she managed to get a glimpse at the vehicles behind them and none of them looked like an AS vehicle.
If this plan didn’t fall together, she was all on her own. But surely Lita discovered she was gone and ran to Kyle.
As the guy stopped and got out she debated about fighting him off and just run for it, again. She heard the door open and was yanked out of the car rough and fast.
She began to struggle but the man easily picked her up, throwing her over his shoulder. She took in the area, letting out a deep breath. She was in for it once Kyle got to her.
More than likely she wouldn’t be able to sit down for over a year. Her bottom seemed to tingle at the mere thought of what she was in for once this was all over. She sighed and tried hard to push that thought away. This wasn’t the time or place to be thinking this at all.
As she was carried through the door of the warehouse, she was tossed on the ground hard. Damn, that wasn’t the kind of sore bottom she had had in mind.
She glared as all six of her captors came even closer to her. These tormentors needed to be stopped and if there were fewer of them she could take them out with ease. Six was a little much, if it had been the four from the first time she might be able to handle it and Kyle would beat her bottom black and blue if she fought them all and put herself in even more harm’s way than she already had.
One of them spoke. “You, little girl, have been nothing but a pain in the ass since you arrived at AS, starting with that despicable Davenport agent before you were officially hired, saving him, becoming a much needed asset, it’s bull, you’ve shut a lot of things down that have inconvenienced us and now it’s going to end.”
She felt chills crawl along her body as they stepped even closer. “It was my job, is my job to stop you, what you’re doing is wrong and you have deserved every consequence you will get or have gotten.”
One of them rushed forward, snatching her up hard by the hair. She let out a hiss as she clenched her teeth and glared at the jerk. She couldn’t wait to see all of them behind bars, no matter who they were.
“And your job is officially over, you won’t stand in our way anymore.”
“There will be others who will stop you, they will probably be better than me, you’ll get caught, your whole scheme will come to an end, you’ll be with your son again, Calhoun, Herz, you’ll rot alone in prison, Kennedy, Sharps and Sheldon, you have families, I don’t understand why you three would do this, you don’t honestly think all of this money Herz has promised will you keep you safe and that’s if he actually gives it to you, and, Jackson, you honestly want to be told what to do by a pansy like Herz, you’re better than that, more powerful than that.”
All the men ripped off their masks at the same time. “How long have you known?” Calhoun demanded.
“A while, next time, don’t let one of the jerks behind the plan torment one of the people you’re trying to get rid of without the mask, the eyes were a dead giveaway for Herz, Calhoun and Jackson were an obvious choice,” Kacey paused for a minute as she gazed to the other three agents. “Sharps and Sheldon, I never suspected you nor you Kennedy, you were Donovan, Davis and Kyle’s father’s partners, you three trained Davis and he passed your teachings on to Donny and Kyle.”
The ex-partners of Jonas Davenport just glared at her. They didn’t seem to care that they were once partners with the top agent of AS. Then things just seemed to click for her as they always tended to do. “You’ve been dirty for years, Jonas found out and you murdered him.” She sucked in a breath as her head began to spin, she couldn’t believe the way it dawned on her. Poor Jonas deserved better than these traitor assholes for partners.
She blinked her eyes quickly trying to get rid of the stinging tears she felt. They wouldn’t see her weak.
At least Kyle would know what happened to his dad, she said all of their names so everyone would know who was behind everything. It was worth it, something inside her was telling her she wasn’t going to live through this.
~
Kyle let out a curse and slammed his hand against the steering wheel, he couldn’t wrap his head around what his boss had just demanded. He wanted them to turn around and head back to AS, like hell he was. “When we get there you can go back, Donny, I’ll be damned if I’m going to turn around and abandon Kacey, I’ll kill the bastards if that’s what it’ll take.”
“I’m going with you, she’s my best friend, you really think I’d abandon her? Cunningham has another thing coming to him, all three of us are in this together.”
Kyle glanced at Donovan. He knew he could count on his little brother. He never expected it to be at a time like this, let alone it revolving around Kacey Matthews. She was in for an ear full, and he wasn’t waiting until he was calm to do so. He was unloading everything on to her from how disappointed he was in her to how much he loved her. He just hoped he got the chance.
“Um, Kyle, we’re like three minutes from her,” Donovan paused for a moment scanning the road and buildings in front of them. “It’s that tall gray building, Kyle.”
“Are you sure?” Kyle threw a look at Donovan. “You better be sure.”
“I’m sure, Kyle, smarts are my forte, while you’re the bronze.” Donovan rolled his eyes as they looked at each other.
