The Roommate

After reading the assignment letter that Disha gave him, Keith turned his gaze towards Disha, who looked as if she didn't dare look him directly in the eye. Disha is still uncomfortable because she is constantly haunted by bad feelings if her cover is exposed when she still hasn't found the masked man.

She steals the role of Sapphire, a young knight she finds dead in a river. She should have taken another role that she could have done while still maintaining her identity as a weak woman. Becoming a knight was truly beyond her abilities.

"I will give this letter to Mr. Sebastian so that Mr. Sebastian can immediately convey it to the King. Nathan, you can take him to the camp. I think he needs to rest after the long journey." Keith said as he left.

Disha was silent, she didn't understand why she had to be left alone with this man who almost beat her. Meanwhile, Nathan continued to observe him as if feeling suspicious.

"I didn't know that the knight that Gordon was so proud of was actually just a whiny young man. Tsk, how sad! I think Veros is even more worthy of this task!" Nathan commented, criticizing Sapphire's performance which did not match his expectations.

He pulled the reins of his horse and just walked away, while Disha was still standing where she was and didn't know what she should do now. Realizing that Disha was not behind him, Nathan was forced to turn around.

"Hey, dude. What are you doing? Are you going to stay there or what?" He said.

"Where do you want to go?"

"Tch, to the camp. Where we live!"

"A place to live? You mean I have to live with them?" She thought. She wasn't sure about going after this man who looked so arrogant and annoying and was still thinking about running away.

"Hey, do you want to come or not?" Nathan was starting to get annoyed. He is the type of person who is very impatient and hates having to wait for someone.

"O-okay!"

It seemed that like it or not, Disha had to come with him before Nathan really went berserk and thought about beating her up again. But she remembered Uncle Jack and the other farmers who had been kind enough to give her a lift. She didn't want to just leave without saying thank you.

"W-wait!"

"Why?"

"Actually, I came here riding in a horse-drawn carriage from a group of farmers delivering food to the palace."

"So?"

"I haven't thanked them yet, that's why I want to meet them first!"

"That's not necessary, it's just a waste of time!"

"B-but, I can't calm down before thanking them. Therefore, allow me to meet them for a moment!" She asked seriously. Seeing her very clumsy and polite attitude made Nathan feel a little strange about her. She didn't know that there were still Silsila knights who acted innocently like this, especially from what he had heard about Sapphire's extraordinary figure. Even their mentor, who was the former supreme commander of Paradise, always praised his greatness.

To be honest, Nathan felt a little annoyed because he thought that all the knights were his rivals, including Sapphire. He always wanted to be the strongest and even though he still couldn't beat Levi, at least he didn't want to be beaten by a newcomer like Sapphire.

"Okay, I'll take you!"

"T-that's not necessary! I can go by myself!"

"I'll take you!" Nathan hates being rejected and he will insist even if it makes other people uncomfortable.

His attitude was really bad, even Prince Leonidas, who was known to be very selfish, wouldn't push it that far. Disha was forced to let Nathan come with her to meet Uncle Jack and the other farmers.

As he had expected, they seemed busy looking for her whereabouts. For her, the people in the village were very kind and lying to them made her feel very guilty.

"Uncle Jack...!"

"Sapphire? Where have you been? We've been looking for you everywhere?"

"Ahahaha...I'm sorry, I went around for a while and met my colleagues!" She said while laughing awkwardly because beside her Nathan still maintained his arrogant attitude.

"Really! Then thank God, you have finally met your comrades in arms. Then, we will return to the village now. You stay here, don't forget to take care of your health! Come again to Moore Village sometime, we will welcome you. "

"Thank you very much, Uncle. Say hello to everyone in the village. I am truly grateful for everyone."

"I'll definitely tell you. Then, see you?"

"See you!" She said, waving as Uncle Jack and the other farmers prepared to return to the village.

Disha sighed, it felt like just breathing was very difficult because she was constantly being watched by Nathan. She don't know what this man really thought about her, but what was clear was that his cynical gaze made her feel uncomfortable.

"W-why do you keep looking at me like that?"

"Don't be too confident, I'm not looking at you because I admire you, in my eyes you look like a stupid loser!"

"I-is that so?"

"What? Did I hear you right? I called you a stupid loser and you just reacted like that?"

"So, how should I react?"

"You should be annoyed and angry, keep inviting me to fight to prove who is the strongest among us!"

"I don't want to do that!"

"What?" Nathan looked so shocked. His reaction was so exaggerated that Disha didn't understand what he was really thinking.

The atmosphere was silent for a moment, before Nathan finally decided to walk again and pretend that what he had just said had never happened. Seeing Nathan not saying anything forced Disha to keep quiet and follow him.

Nathan took Disha to the camp, a hut behind the palace. This cottage looks very nice even though its size is not very big, but the appearance from the outside looks very comfortable.

Nathan opened the door to the hut and immediately lit the torch and hanging lamp on fire. Disha was amazed as this place looked like an ordinary home rather than a warriors' camp.

"We live here?"

"Yeah! There are only two rooms in this camp. So two people will share one room. I share a room with Keith and you share a room with Levi!"

"Y-you mean I have to sleep with a man?"

"What are you saying? So you want to sleep with women? Hey man, listen to me! Don't think you can mess with the beautiful female servants in this palace! I know that men like you act chaste and innocent in order to win the hearts of women!"

"I-I don't think like that at all! Really!"

"Tch, never mind! That's your room, make sure you clean your room every day if you don't want Levi to kill you."

"I-I understand!"

"And one more thing! There is only one bathroom and toilet in this camp. Every morning we will take turns drawing water from the well. Do you understand?"

"I-I understand!"
