Immediately, blindingly, the urge to take her over my knee and spank the living shit out of her, before fucking her hard across my desk blasts in front of my mind. So I wasn't dead from the waist down. Charlie hadn't killed me. Good to know. what was also good to know was that the delectable Miss Steele is horrified by the question that seems to have just fallen out of her mouth - and the blush looks good on her. The blush lights up her pale skin, much like the way a good spanking or caning would, and my palm twitches as I delay my response, sadistically keen to draw out her discomfort. "No Anastasia, I'm not gay." I smile a little. She really is adorable. In fact the more I stare at her the more I'm convinced she isn't like Charlie at all. This girl in front of me is a born submissive. With a little training, she could be exquisite, maybe my best yet. She apologises and I move to sit down next to her, the need to find out more about her beginning to niggle and pull at me. She could turn out to be the perfect distraction. By the time we're finished, I've decided that before the week is out I will have this girl in my playroom. I'd find out what her situation was, have Welch do a background check, and if everything looked good then I'd make her mine. I know she finds me attractive. It's in the way she avoids my eyes, and in the nervous way she tucks her hair behind her ear. Yes, she's attracted to me alright. But then, most women were. This isn't my ego talking, it's just fact. Money, Power and confidence had a certain effect on certain women. Especially impressionable young college students. If I couldn't have Charlie then I could most certainly lose myself in this pretty little thing in front of me. Yes I'd get over her. I felt more confident about that already. "I hope you got everything you need," I say as we stop in front of the elevator. She turns and smiles sweetly, biting her bottom lip. It continues making my groin vibrate. "Um... I think you only answered four questions?" She says lowering her eyes again. Yes, so submissive when she did that. I had to see this girl again. As she turns to get into the elevator I quickly grab the question sheet from between the pages of her notepad which she fails to notice, then she turns to face me. "Anastasia," I nod, already planning the details of the next time I'd see her. What I'd do to her. How much could she take? "Christian," She says. So she'd called me Mr Grey the entire interview, but now as she leaves feels bold enough to call me by my name. Interesting Miss Steele, interesting. As the elevator doors close I take one last look at her. Yes, she'd be the perfect distraction - I might even keep her a while. She couldn't have come at a better time quite frankly. She was a gift. One I have every intention of taking full advantage of. I turn on my heel to go back to the comfort of my office and stop dead. Frozen to the spot. Limbs of stone. Was I hallucinating? Was I asleep right now, dreaming? Have I gone mad finally? I open my mouth to speak, but no words come out. Nothing. Not one. She looks real. Exquisite and perfect and real. Yet I still didn't believe it. "Are all your business associates so pretty?" she says smiling a little. My mouth is still open but still no words are forthcoming. "Sorry, should I have made an appointment?" She adds in that warm, soft voice. The one I thought I'd never hear again. "Why.. aren't you half way over the Atlantic?" I ask when I finally find a voice. Albeit not a very stable one. I force myself to move closer to her, which is necessary to check that she's real. Her image doesn't falter as I near her. In fact it crystallises, It becomes vivid and sharp and I can see the tears wavering behind her bright green eyes. Bright green eyes I'd dreamt about every waking moment for 6 fucking days. "Because I'm here." She shrugs slightly. Her voice doesn't sound very stable either. "You are." I say. I'm not certain if it's a question or a statement. "Why?" I have to ask. I need to hear her say it out loud. "Well, I hear the weather is terrible in London," She whispers. "It's not any better here," I tell her. "I noticed that," she smiles. As my eyes drink her in, she does the same, her eyes roaming mine looking for something. Something I was determined she'd find this time. "Any other reason why you're here? Apart from the weather," I gaze at her mouth, already desperate to have it on mine, her soft full plump bottom lip drowning out all thoughts of any other. Want and need roars through my veins, my body coming alive under the weight of that green stare. She takes a deep breath. "Because I want the fairytale Christian. Whatever that is, whatever it looks like, I want it with you. I want our fairytale." Her words hit me somewhere deep inside and something cracks wide open. I'm dimly aware of the eyes of Andrea and Caroline behind the reception desk heavy on the scene in front of them but I couldn't care less. She was here. She wants me. She wants the fairytale. I'd give her whatever the fuck she wanted. "I love you," I say. As her mouth drops open I bring my hand up and take her face in mine to pull it close to me. "I should have said it a long time ago, I should have said it six days ago. No, eight years ago. I'm sorry." She gapes at me a moment before her mouth transforms into a smile, then a pout. "You're sorry that you love me?" Jesus, she was beautiful. She was more than that. She was everything. "Yes, that too." I smile. "You have no idea what you're in for." I shake my head. "Well, I'm looking forward to finding out." She says, leaning up on her tiptoes to kiss me. It's soft and long, and deep and it takes all of my strength to remain standing. She was here. She wasn't gone. I hadn't lost her. All of these facts seem to come at once and they are loud and bright and clear. Finally. She was mine. As we continue to kiss, I brace myself for her touch, promising myself this time that I wouldn't stop her. Never again would I try to stop her if she tried to touch me. But she doesn't touch me. She keeps her hands by her sides and pulls back from my mouth to gaze up into my eyes. The look in them is one I know now. I know it inside and out. It was awe. Because it's the same way I look at her. She takes a slow deep breath and then speaks. "I love you Christian Trevelyan Grey. I've always loved you. It's always been you. So don't you ever leave me again do you hear me or there will be consequences?" She says lightly I smile at her for the longest time as her words sink in, slow and welcome, settling somewhere deep in my chest. She loved me. She always had. "Well... technically you left me," I raise an eyebrow. "A punishment might be in order." I say very quietly. "Well technically I didn't... because I'm here. But I may just let you punish me anyway," There's mischief in her eye as she smiles at me. "Oh and I will... my palm is twitching already baby, trust me." I growl playfully, before pressing my mouth to hers again. I breathe her in as deep as I can, kissing her with all the force that I have - with everything that I have, feeling for all the world like a dying man just given a second chance at living. I am alive.
