BAB 9
Jiah covered her head with a black robe. It was already three o'clock in the morning when Jiah walked quickly towards the city gate guarded by several guards. The usually quiet city gate became lively after the news of the Queen Mother's death came out.
"Show me your identity card sir!" said a guard to the man in front of Jiah.
The man gave him an identity card. And he was immediately able to continue his journey.
Jiah held back her nerves when it was her turn.
"Your identity card madam," said the guard.
Jiah looked for something in her pocket.
"I'm sorry, I seem to have forgotten, sir."
The guard looked at Jiah with a stern look.
"Please go home and get your identity card ma'am." Jiah nodded and turned to leave.
One of the bodyguards who saw Jiah walking away immediately reported to his superiors.
Jiah immediately turned around behind a narrow alley, when she saw several guards who seemed to be looking for her in from the crowd, luckily the crowd there were also wearing black because were going to attend Grandmother Queen's funeral.
'Unlucky.'
Jiah immediately walked into the narrow alley, took off her black robe, and threw it in the trash.
At the palace, the queen's grandmother's funeral was held simply.
Agri immediately walked away leaving the process of burning after the queen's grandmother was burned, no one dared to rebuke him even his father, the King of the West Kingdom.
Agri immediately sat down in his office, he saw a pile of papers that had piled up. Agri picked up a document on the table and read it.
knock…
knock…
knock…
"Come in," said Agri.
A man dressed in all black entered.
Agri sat on a chair with his legs crossed one hand supporting his chin and the other hand was reading a document.
"We found the person who poisoned the Queen Mother, she said Jiah from the Eastern Kingdom ordered it."
"Jiah?" Agri recalled a maid who had been meeting him by accident recently.
"This must be related to the royal throne," said Agri.
"I found the money and the house that was sent to the maid family," said the guard.
The bodyguard was not at all afraid of Agri's sharp gaze that stared at him sharply.
"The guard who was at the border earlier reported that around three in the morning a suspicious woman was wanting to leave the kingdom and most likely it was Jiah we were looking for," said the guard again.
"Tighten security, check one by one the people who want to get out of this kingdom."
"Fine, Prince."
"Take me to the maid who has been caught." Agri threw the document on the table.
"The maid committed suicide by slashing her hand."
Agri paused, he immediately glanced at him
"Where did she kill herself? What's in prison?"
The guard nodded. "That's right, Prince."
Agri smiled sarcastically. "In jail? Suicide… why did she kill herself?"
The guard was silent for a moment. "Knife."
Agri walked up to the guard. "Bring the knife over here."
The bodyguard resignedly nodded and turned around, not long after the bodyguard came in carrying a knife that was covered by a glass case.
Agri opened the glass case and took out a knife covered in blood, took the knife, and examined it in detail.
"It's very coincidental isn't it, with a very sharp knife it can appear where the maid is." Agri glanced at the bodyguard's expression.
The bodyguard kept quiet and had no fear on his face.
Agri turned and walked away a second later he turned around and immediately threw the knife at the bodyguard.
Sadra just entered and immediately fell when she saw a knife stab right beside it. Even though she just came but Agri almost killed her.
"You're crazy!" cried Sadra.
Two of Sadra's servants helped Sadra wake up from the shock.
Agri stared at the bodyguard still in front of him with an unchanging expression. Agri didn't even look at Sadra.
"Guard, continue to investigate this matter, and find the woman," said Agri.
The bodyguard nodded and left.
"What are you doing here?" Agri glared at Sadra.
"Mother told me to bring you to the tribute to the Queen Mother."
Agri immediately took a black robe and put it on.
Stare at Sadra. "Tell your mother, the dead do not need respect."
Sadra looked at Agri annoyed.
"You are so unreasonable." Sadra pointed at Agri with her index finger.
Agri didn't care, he immediately walked out without replying to Sadra's words.
Sadra who saw Agri getting closer, immediately swept away from the door. After Agri left, Sadra scolded him even more.
"You useless people!" cried Sadra.
"I will complain about all your behavior to Father."
"You think you can bully me?" Sadra clucked her waist.
"Never mind Miss, Prince Agri is gone, he won't hear what you're saying, Miss," said the servant.
"Humph, if only he was here I would have punched him."
One of Sadra's maids only smiled awkwardly when she saw Sadra arrogantly scolding Agri. 'Who was trembling when she was almost hit by the prince's knife?'

After Jiah failed to escape, she finally returned to the inn she was using overnight. When she saw several bodyguards talking to the innkeeper, Jiah immediately hid.
Jiah looked to the side when an arm tapped her shoulder. "Syu…"
The maid signaled Jiah to be quiet.
The maid glanced around and pulled Jiah into a room.
"Don't worry, you're safe," said the maid.
"Thanks."
The maid opened the wardrobe, which contains a tunnel.
Jiah looked at her with grateful eyes.
"Why are you helping me?"
"Apart from you giving me money last night, I'm also the same as you," replied the waiter.
She was the maid that Jiah had paid last night to help her find clothes and told her to keep her mouth shut when interrogated by the Imperial Guards.
"What-"
"Espers."
Jiah covered her mouth in shock.
"What are your skills?"
The maid smiled. "I can see a person's hidden problems."
"Excellent," said Jiah.
"Then can you see my troubles for the next few years?" The maid fell silent when she heard Jiah's question.
"It's difficult... because problems can change with someone's efforts," replied the maid.
"I see, so what's your name?"
"I am Mora," said the maid.
Jiah shook hands with Mora. "I'm Jiah."
Brak…
Mora and Jiah looked at each other.
"I think you should go," said Mora.
Jiah nodded and went straight into the tunnel.
"See you at another time!" Jiah screamed, Mora immediately closed the cupboard and opened the door.
"Check this room," ordered the Head Guard fiercely.
Mora looks relaxed by leaning against the door.
The bodyguard stared at Mora sharply, his instincts telling him that Mora seemed to be hiding something.
Several bodyguards who were looking for someone did not find anything suspicious.
"Report Sir, there is nothing suspicious here."
The butler nodded and motioned for the other bodyguards to change places.
"Sorry for the inconvenience Miss."
"No problem sir, this is your job." Mora smiled kindly watching them leave.
Mora breathed a sigh of relief watching the group of bodyguards leave, she hoped one day she could meet Jiah again.
