BAB 11

See Livi who doesn't want to let go of holding hands, more and more people came, making Jiah afraid that her cover would be blown.

"Don't be stupid, you're only going to make trouble for me!"

Livi's hand flung so that his grip released, Jiah immediately ran

"Don't go" Livi shouted.

Livi fell when she wanted to chase Jiah, she was crying and screaming hysterically. The luck that Livi had always been proud of felt useless.

"Do not go!" Livi was still screaming.

"You said we would always be together, but why did you lie!"

Lowering his head, Jiah kept running through the crowd.

Jiah wiped her tears with her hands roughly. 'Forgive me

The people who were there felt sorry when they saw Livi crying.

"Come back… you're all I have!"

Livi bowed to the ground.

"After what we've been through so far, it's so easy for you to leave me. Why? Why did everyone leave me even now you also left me, why is the world so unfair to me?!"

Livi clutched her chest about the pain she was crying pitifully.

"You will come back," Livi said in a low tone.

Some people began to disperse slowly, Agri with an indifferent face looked at the scene in front of him while taking the child's bread underneath.

The little boy pointed at Agri with his middle finger, complaining to his mother. But Agri didn't care at all that he innocently left.

After Jiah walked far enough, she slowed down her footsteps.

Jiah finally stopped for a moment, the afternoon light illuminated part of her face making her falling tears seem to glow, her memory returned to the time when she met Livi for the first time.

They share the same fate as a child being placed in an orphanage since infancy, both have no parents, both enter the palace at the age of nine, and both have no friends.

Jiah clenched her fists, she felt that she was so evil. Questions one by one come to mind, can she live happily with the shadow of her past? can she still laugh after betraying her friend? and can she start a new life as if all is well?

No, Jiah couldn't, there would no longer be anyone to accompany her, no more idiots she would scold, and no more people who would volunteer to help her without reward, she would not find any of that in anyone else.

Guilty, Jiah turned around, the longer her steps the quicker.

The people who had gathered earlier had disappeared, leaving only a few people passing by, even the whispers of some people who insulted Jiah could still be heard.

Livi was still looking down and crying no one cared about her, even though some people who saw her felt sorry but no one helped her.

Jiah stopped right in front of Livi.

" Let's go."

Livi, who heard a familiar voice in her ear, immediately looked up and saw Jiah who was already in front of her.

Livi smiled even though she was still crying.

"I know you will not leave me."

Livi immediately stood up.

Jiah averted her eyes by immediately wiping her eyes so Livi didn't see her crying. "You are too confident."

Livi was still smiling stupidly.

Grab...

Livi immediately hugged Jiah. "I know you won't leave me."

Jiah looked up to hold back her tears from falling.

After a few moments, Jiah let go of Livi's summary.

"I apologize for what I said," Jiah said.

Livi even wanted to cry even more. Livi wiped her tears and looked at Jiah. "I'm sorry too."

Jiah stretched out her hand. "Fine."

"Fine." Livi shook Jiah's hand.

Agri who was observing them from afar only laughed lightly.

"Too bad they didn't go their separate ways." Agri immediately walked away from there.

"That's because of the power of love, Mr," replied the grandmother's hair seller.

Agri smirk. "Love? it's just bullshit."

Jiah looked at Livi.

"Let's go," said Jiah.

Livi nodded. "Where to?"

Jiah was silent, she nodded unclear goals from the start.

"I'm hungry," said Livi.

"Okay, let's eat a bit."

Jiah invites Livi to go find a place to eat that isn't too crowded. It was getting late making the shadows of the two of them disappear in the darkness of the night.

.

.

.

A chief guard was sitting on a chair, while Agri stood not far from the shelf re-reading the document containing the royal case.

knock…

knock...

knock...

"Come in," said the head guard.

The head of the guard was named Jhon, he was Agri's classmate at school.

A guard enters. "Report Sir, I have information about Prince Shen's maid named Livi mysteriously disappearing."

Agri turned his gaze to the guard.

"Who gave this information?" he asked.

"One of Prince Shen's lord's maids."

Agri thought and said. "Within twenty-five minutes send out information about Livi and get people to draw her face."

"Yes, Prince." The bodyguard was sweating after receiving an unreasonable order from Prince Agri, how could he get information so quickly?

Agri put the document he was reading on the shelf.

"One more thing, give me the information of the person who reported Livi's disappearance."

The bodyguard faked a smile after hearing Agri's order, besides he wouldn't be able to disobey Agri's order. "Yes, Prince."

"Go away," said Agri again.

The bodyguard leaves.

.

.

.

Livi held Jiah's hand tightly as they entered the narrow dark path.

"Do we have to do this?" Livi looked at Jiah.

"Do you want to sleep in prison for the rest of your life?" Livi shook his head in fear.

"Fine, just shut up."

"But… Jiah, the smiling handsome man was unbelievable." Livi reminded Jiah about the handsome young man they met at the diner earlier, after Jiah gave him some gold, the friendly man recommended an illegal inn hidden from the kingdom.

The streets are so dark and dirty with some trash scattered around.

Jiah swallowed her saliva with great difficulty. "You're right, but it's the only way."

With trembling legs, they walked following the instructions given by the man earlier, armed with the trash that was scattered on the road. Just follow that path and they'll be safe.

.

.

.

Agri was drinking tea by looking at a picture of a woman. Agri's mouth was seen smiling but Jhon knew that Agri was very angry.

John looked at his subordinate who was looking at Agri.

Put the teacup on the table. "Have you gotten any traces of this woman?"

Agri threw a photo of a woman smiling at the guard.

The bodyguard took the photo, he saw Livi's photo.

"We lost track of him near a restaurant, Prince."

Jhon watched from the side as Agri with an innocent face sat in his office chair and even intimidated his subordinates.

"A job this easy you guys can't do?" Agri threw all the things that were on the table until the pile of documents flew.

Jhon could only be patient with Agri's behavior, after all, Agri was a prince. Luckily they weren't in the royal palace so he didn't have to pay so much respect to Agri.

"We will try to find a trace of Livi, Prince," said the guard.

"Hey, trying? So you guys have been just having fun since yesterday? Can't even find traces of two women?"

The bodyguard averted his eyes, his face sweating even more after being advised by Agri.

"Gather all the best bodyguards in the criminal division, let me lead this search."

Agri pushed her hair back with an evil smile that made her face look even more charming.

"Fine, Prince."

The bodyguard left in a hurry. Usually, Agri would not step in to lead a criminal case if he was so sick of wanting revenge.

"Are you sure about this?" Jhon asked.

Agri took a black robe from the wardrobe. "Of course."

"I will come," said Jhon.

He didn't want to take the risk that Agri would kill blindly.

Agri glanced at Jhon. "That's your job. Do you think I'd like to see you comfortably sleeping in a chair while I painstakingly search for the killer of the queen's grandmother?"

Jhon was silent, even though he was sitting there to read the criminal complaint cases that were increasing every minute, and Agri easily said he was just sleeping.

Don't blame Jhon, who always looks quiet and sleepy, because he doesn't get enough sleep handling criminal cases, let alone his salary is below standard.

Agri took out a sword and opened its cover.

Shot…

Brak…

The candle was immediately split apart due to Agri's incision.

Jhon stroked his chest to hold back his anger, his salary wasn't that big to add to the problem by fighting a Prince.

"Let's go," Agri said excitedly.

Jhon just nodded.

.

.

.

the bell rang loudly when Jiah opened the door, only a waitress who was wiping her glasses stared at Jiah and Livi who had just arrived.

The place was so quiet, there was only one person there, at first glance there was nothing special about that place.

Instead the place looked old and uninhabited, some cobwebs adorned the roof and even the tables and chairs looked white with dust.

only the place that the man used looked clean. If Jiah hadn't gotten a recommendation from the waitress she wouldn't have believed it was a safe place.

Jiah and Livi approached the maid who was wearing a bandage over her left eye. The servant was a young man who looked like a slacker with glazed eyes like he had a lack of sleep.

Watching new guests arrive, placing glasses on shelves filled with hundreds of the same glasses.

"Welcome to Rounex," said the man.

Everything would be different without you.
