"WE CAN HAVE A BABY."

They can have a baby. They can. Pearly smiled widely as she waited for the rice she was cooking to be done. Lucille had finished cooking the viand and they would be having lunch anytime soon.

"This is ready. Call them," Lucille instructed.

"Okay."

The couple was in the study room. They had a meeting. Lately, their meetings had become more frequent. Maybe there was a problem with the business.

"Even if they suffer a loss in their business, it's just a small amount for them." Pearly said with a smile as she came out of the kitchen.

It was already noon, maybe the couple was taking a shower. At this time, Jaden Gabe would be soaking in the tub because he was feeling very hot.

As she was going up the stairs, she glanced out the large window of the mansion. From where she stood, she saw someone outside the gate.

She blinked her eyes.

There was someone there!

Even though the gate was far from the mansion, she felt like that person was pulling her to come to them. She gave in to the urge to go to the gate.

It was strange that someone had reached the inside of the villa. Who could it be?

"Don?" She was surprised to recognize the man standing outside the metal gate.

"Hi!"

"What are you doing here?" She remembered him. He was the man whose car broke down at the entrance to the Vaughn's land.

"I need your help, I am looking for my sister."

"What?"

The man's handsome face looked sad. He also seemed wasted and troubled. "I lied, Pearly."

She took a step back. Who was this? And what was he saying?

"You won't be surprised if I tell you that I am a vampire." He bared his fangs. "You already know their secret, don't you?"

Her eyes widened.

He was a vampire? A vampire too?

"I'm sorry for deceiving you..." He held onto the metal gate tightly. He was sweating and his smooth skin was turning red because of the heat of the sun. "But I'm desperate!"

"You'll burn in the sun..." she said worriedly when she saw the sweat dripping from him. It was really scorching hot because it was noon.

"I don't care..." his voice was hoarse. "I'd rather die... if I can't find my sister."

"S-sister?"

"My sister." His eyes darkened. "Helios is hiding my sister!"

"Who is your sister?" She asked, confused.

"Euria... my younger sister." His tears fell. "Help me... I need my sister."

"I don't know what you're talking about. There's no Euria here. In all the time I've been in this

mansion, I haven't seen Euria or any woman brought here by Helios. He hasn't mentioned anyone either." But the name Euria sounded familiar to her.

"Helios is hiding her. He has been hiding my sister for hundreds of years! I need her. I need many allies. The blood of an ordinary vampire is not enough to create a powerful being. I need the blood from our origin, from Euria."

Pearly didn't know why, but she felt a chill run down her spine.

"Listen to me, Pearly... You can trust me. You can trust me more than the Vaughn. I have a secret to tell you." He said seriously. "Just help me find my sister. I'm worried about her too..."

What secret was he talking about? Curiosity consumed her. She felt like she needed to know what he was going to say.

"How can I trust you?" she asked the man without thinking.

Don smiled. "I could actually control your mind, but I won't do that. I'm a good vampire. I'm better than the people you're with. They control you without you even realizing it."

She shook her head and took a step back. "I don't believe you..."

"I'll be back. I'll be back when you have information for me. I need my sister, help me."

"B-but..." she blinked and he was gone. He disappeared. She looked around outside the villa's gate, but there was no sign of Don.

Where did he go?

"Pearly!"

She was startled when she heard Jaden Gabe's voice from the mansion's door. He was standing there in his boxers.

He was barefoot. In his hurry, he had come out almost naked!

He came down the stairs and walked towards her. The sun was shining on his even skin. He looked radiant. His broad shoulders were glistening with sweat because of the intense heat of the sun. His firm chest, flat stomach with perfect abs, muscular thighs and legs, and the bulge in front of him between his thighs were exposed to Pearly's eyes.

She blinked and tried to focus on Jaden Gabe's serious face.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, looking at her and then glancing behind her. His green eyes were slightly tinged with red.

She was surprised when, in an instant, Helios, Lander, and Criss were behind Jaden Gabe. Lucille was peeking from the mansion's door with wide eyes.

What was happening?

Suddenly, Jaden Gabe was in front of her. He hugged her tightly. "Are you okay?"

"Why did you come out looking like that?" she asked in amazement as she looked at him. He looked worried.

"I can't be wrong." Helios said firmly. His fangs were showing.

Pearly was even more surprised when Criss also bared his fangs. Only Lander remained calm, although he looked very serious. Jaden Gabe held her tightly, and she felt his hard front pressing against her stomach.

"Donovan came here." Helios looked at her. "And he talked to you."

"Where is Euria?" she asked without thinking.

"Pearly..." Jaden Gabe lifted her face. "What are you saying?"

"Don is looking for Euria. He said Helios is hiding his sister. Who is Euria? What's happening, Jaden Gabe?" She asked him, confused.

"She's my wife." Helios answered. "The mother of my triplets."

She looked at the three siblings. Lander, Criss, and Jaden Gabe. They were all sweating, but they didn't seem to mind the intense heat of the sun.

She looked back at Helios. "He said you're hiding Euria."

"We don't know where that woman is. She left us without a word! She abandoned us when the triplets were just babies!" Criss said angrily, still not retracting his fangs. He seemed really furious.

She wasn't afraid even though Criss had his fangs out. Pearly felt numb at that moment. When she looked at Lucille at the gate, she was no longer there.

"She didn't leave you." Helios said softly, which stunned the triplets.

"What are you saying, Helios?!" Criss confronted him angrily. "If she didn't leave, then what? Bullshit."

"I erased her memory."

"Fuck." Criss disappeared from their sight. He went to the mansion's wall and punched it. The wall cracked.

"That only means that your father loves your mother more than the three of you." Lucille, who was outside the gate of the mansion, grinned.

"Damn! Shut up, bitch!" Criss yelled at her.

Lucille disappeared from the gate. One by one, the men also disappeared. They all

walked out.

Pearly was left with Jaden Gabe, feeling very confused

Hello, Tita Joana?" Pearly was puzzled as to why Judas' mother was calling. "Is this Judas?"

Jaden Gabe, who was right in front of her, furrowed his brow. They were facing each other in the living room. Even Lander glanced at her.

It was already afternoon when they were called down by Helios to talk. All of them. Lucille was not there because she did not return after leaving earlier. Criss said she was being two-faced, it was unclear whose side she was on.

"Okay, Tita. I'll call him." After the call from Judas' mother, she immediately dialed. She lost track of the conversation with Vaughns, worrying about her childhood friend. She dialed again, but Judas' phone was really off and she was sent to voicemail.

"Why?" Jaden Gabe moved to her side and hugged her.

"Judas is missing!"

"Missing?"

"He hasn't been home for a day," she said in a panic. "His car is still at the club. There's no one in his condo because Tita Joana went there earlier. Judas still hasn't come home, according to the building guard."

Jaden Gabe didn't say anything. He just looked at her. Lander and Helios were also silent in their seats.

How could Judas not have come home according to the condo guard? Judas even called her when he was at Jaden Gabe's condo and said he was already home. What happened? Why did Judas lie? And where did he go? Why did he leave his car at the club and not come back for it?!

They all turned when the big mansion door suddenly swung open.

"Lucille!" She was shocked at the woman's appearance. Her lips were cracked, her clothes were wet, and her face was very pale.

They all stood up. Lander just stared at the woman but didn't attempt to approach her.

"Help me..." she walked unsteadily towards them.

"What happened to you, Lucille?" Before the woman collapsed, Jaden Gabe caught her.

"My... my stepfather..." her voice trembled."

Donovan," Helios gritted his teeth as he looked at Lucille.

"He... he took Judas!" she broke down and sobbed. "Please help me!"

Pearly was stunned. Why did he take Judas? And who is Donovan? And why is Lucille like this?

"Why?" She looked at Lander, who was staring intently at the woman who was lying on the floor. Lander's question summed up all her questions.

"Help her... the Pedrigals will hurt her!" She clung to Jaden Gabe's leg. "Help Judas... please! I'm begging you! Help him!"

"Why are you so concerned about that mortal?" Lander's green eyes were full of bitterness.

He wiped the tears from her pale face with the back of his hand. "Because..."

They were all waiting for Lucille's answer. Jaden Gabe helped her up.

"Judas..." she faced him with tears in her eyes. "He is my son."

Pearly's jaw dropped. Her eyes widened as she looked at Lucille's tear-streaked face. She wasn't lying. She could see the pain, fear, and concern in Lucille's gentle face as her shoulders shook w

ith sobs.

When she looked at Lander, he was also gaping in surprise. Helios was composed. Jaden Gabe just looked at Pearly.

"H-how did my childhood friend become your son?"

"I thought he was dead..."

A long, deafening silence ensued until

Helios spoke.

"Who is Judas' father?"

Lucille shook her head.

"Lucille!" Lander's voice was like thunder.

The woman sobbed.

"Who is the father, Lucille?" Helios asked again. "When you were missing, you were pregnant. That's why you insisted on becoming a vampire because you were having a hard time with the pregnancy." Helios approached. "Judas' father is a vampire, right?"

Lucille shook her head and continued to avoid eye contact. She kept shaking her head.

"Lucille..." Pearly also approached the woman. "Who is Judas' father? Who is my friend's father?" Even though she didn't know if she had the right to ask, she gathered the courage.

Lucille smiled bitterly and looked at Lander.

Pearly felt like she could hear the heartbeat of everyone in the room at that moment due to the tension.

"Who is the father?" Lander asked gently, meeting Lucille's gaze.

"My son's father..." she sobbed.

"Who?"

"Jaden Gabe."

It was as if an atomic bomb had exploded in front of Pearly.

"I'm sorry." She looked at Lucille with tears in her eyes. "Jaden Gabe is Judas' father."
