Chapter 87 CHAPTER EIGHTY SEVEN

Chapter 87 CHAPTER EIGHTY SEVEN
EMILY’S POV

I stumbled to the cage, disbelief all over my face. Jameson and his mate liverie. Where tied down, naked and bloodied.

I couldn’t do anything to help, only stand there watching as Clara discussed with that terrifying man from before.

“You feel for these beasts,” the man spoke up, turning to face the young man I had seen before dissecting that dead wolf.

“We are not beast,” I screamed out, my voice a mere whisper, floating through the winds.

“Dad, they are not beast.” the young man voiced out, “they are superior beings, more advanced than us.”

“Stop it Zach,” the man screamed out, his loud voice making both me and Clara flinch.

“They are monsters, and after what they did to you, i had hoped you saw them for what they are, not idolized them.”

“They didn’t …..,” the man raised his hands up, silencing whatever his son had meant to say.

He turned, his cold gaze on the wolves inside the cage.

“I’ve studied them, I have dissected them, I’ve killed them, I’ve done things you couldn’t imagine.” the man told his son and Clara standing stiffly by his side. “But there is one thing we hunters have still not been able to understand or find a way to deal with.”

He glanced towards my direction, and I gasped, moving back.

My heart was beating wide, but I consoled myself with the fact that he couldn’t see me.

He turned back to the glass cage, an evil smile on his face.

“Their mate bond.” the man says, chuckling a bit. “It’s something we never understood, or knew how to surpass. We hunters have been able to almost be as superior as them, we have their speed, strength, and even weapons forged and modified to fight against them, but the mate bond was something we could not have, that is till now.”

I could see the subtle widening of Clara’s eyes, but she quickly masked it, wearing back that face of indifference.

“Wha-t, what do you mean?” Zach sputtered out, turning sharply to face his father.

“It’s my goal, the reason this lab was created. I have dedicated my life to understanding every aspect of their mating bond, and other types of bond, in order to find how to create a weapon to destroy them through their bond.”

I gasped, cold dread filling my stomach.

“But…, that is not what you promised me.” Clara yelled out. “You promised to find a way to divert the mate bond to anyone of our choosing, not use it to destroy us.”

The man laughed coldly, gripping Clara’s hair. “Watch,” he bellowed out, pressing her head forcefully against the glass cage.

“You may start,” the man says to know one in particular.

I clutched my chest in panic, completely helpless. This was the one time i didn’t wish to be a astral projecting.

I wish i could do more, if there was a way i could save them, like they had once saved me. Instead I stood helplessly, watching as a string came out from the walls behind their head, injecting them with whatever evil substance it contained.

“This is Experiment 24 a voice boomed out. Subject 333 to subject 335.” As if being controlled, Jameson turned his head slowly slowly. While my heart beat increased, goosebumps all over my body.

Liverie also turned her head, squeezing her eyes tightly, as if the voice was painful to her.

“Subject 333 will reject the mate bond,” the voice boomed out.

Liverie whimpered in fear, shaking her head widely. I was confused for a moment, but that all wiped out as the wall opened up.

Jameson screamed out, the bond keeping him bound as he struggled in rage. “No,” he screamed, shaking his head.

A ball of white light came out of the wall, engulfing Liverie as she screamed loudly, the sound echoing all the way to my core.

The touture stopped for a while, and Liverie laid there, half of her face was peeled off, the sight raw. I could see bit of her bones showing.

“Subject 333 will break the mate bond or subject 335 be terminated,” the voice booms out again.

Jameson struggled violently against the bind, just as the wall opened up again, and another white light engulfed Liverie.

I sobbed out loudly, holding my chest as hot pain flows through me.

Her screams, I was sure for days to come, those screams would hunt me.

“Subject 333 will break the mate bond or subject 335 be terminated,” the voice boomed out continuously. And just as before, the walls opened up, engulfing Liverie.

“Stop…, please.., stop.” Jameson wailed out.

I glanced at the man who stood there, an excited expression on his face. Clara was crying now, while Zach stood stiffly, his hands clenched tightly by his side.

Suddenly, both Liverie and Jameson screamed out loudly, thrashing widely at the pain tearing through their bond, past their heart.

They both slumped down sitmuteniously, their heads bent forward. “Keep watching Zach,” the man let out excitedly. “Here comes the fun part.”

I closed my eyes, I don’t know how, but i could feel it, their mate bond had been cruelly cut off.

Jameson raised his heads up slowly, his now dark eyes taking in his mate. I could feel the coldness radiating from them, the calm warm Jameson I knew, no longer there.

“Subject 335, proceed with the attack on subjects 333.” The voice booms out loudly.

“No..,” I wailed out, now inside the cage as I called out to Jameson. I tried to touch him, tried to pull him into my projection, but nothing worked.

Jameson changed into his wolf, tearing of his binding with ease, while Liverie did the same.

I whimpered, crying out as they both attacked themselves ruthlessly.

The man laughed out maniacally, while Zach looked away, gritting his teeth.

“No.., it wasn’t supposed to be like this.” Clara wailed out, slumping down the cage as she cried out.

It was all her faults, that much was clear now.

With a loud howl, Jameson tore into Liverie brutally, his sharp canine digging into her throat, and with a swift sharp tuck, he snapped her neck.

The blood was everywhere, on the floor, the walls, all over Jameson’s jaw as he stood over his now dead mate, a shell of the man he used to be.

The pain.., I couldn’t describe the excruciating pain racking through my brain, breaking down every mental block I had carefully constructed in my mind.

I screamed loudly, the force of it throwing everyone back. I watched as the glass shattered, the realization and confusion on their face as an angry Jameson howled painfully, before descending on Clara, his sharp claws tearing into her stomach, while she screamed out.

“It’s not possible…, it’s.. not..,” Zach kept muttering, wide eyed as he stared in my direction.

“You…,” the man mumbled out in shock, screaming out as Jameson tore into his leg.

The man raised his gun out, shooting at Jameson.

I screamed again as Jameson slumped down to the floor, blood pooling around his dead body.

The man angry eyes stared at me, before turning the gun, shooting straight at me.

I screamed as I jerked up, back to my body. The force of it throwing both Roman and Anthony back.

“Help…,” I mumbled out, before falling down unconscious.
