Chapter 80 Chapter 80. Zoria’s Hidden Pregnancy
Holding his phone, Zephyr glanced through the crack in the door at Zoria’s silhouette inside the room. In the past, whenever she fell ill, she stayed in the hospital, with professional nurses taking care of her. But in this house, there were only a housekeeper and a chef—not even a personal attendant dedicated to caring for the Luna.
At first, Zephyr had brought Zoria here because he wanted her to get pregnant. Later, because of his overwhelming possessiveness, he didn’t want anyone else to see her. He had even driven away the butler and the servants.
Now, however, a problem had surfaced. Zoria fell sick frequently, and in the future she might become pregnant. Having only Dr. Luke was clearly not enough. Zephyr decided he needed to find a trustworthy servant to take care of her.
……
In the blink of an eye, a month passed. Zoria remained confined to the house. Although her health had improved, she had become far quieter than before.
During the day, if she wasn’t sitting blankly in the garden, she was lying in bed asleep. That day, the chef cooked a pot of herring soup. The broth was milky white, its aroma filling the room, but Zoria only took a small sip. The moment it slid down her throat, she started retching.
She rushed straight into the bathroom, vomiting until there was nothing left, nearly bringing up bile. The chef’s face instantly went pale. After all, he had been hired from a five-star restaurant, and his cooking skills were impeccable. Yet Zoria vomited after just one sip of his soup—it was no different from slapping him in the face. Still, he didn’t dare say anything and could only curse her silently under his breath.
Zoria truly had no appetite left. It had been like this for several days in a row, her stomach tortured to the point of collapse. She began to wonder if she had developed some kind of stomach illness.
She rubbed her abdomen, her eyes dry and burning, wanting nothing more than to sleep. The newly hired servant noticed that Zoria didn’t look well and hurried over, asking anxiously, "Ms. Zoria… ah, no… Luna, are you feeling unwell? You don’t look so good."
Zoria shook her head. "My stomach just feels a bit off. A nap will fix it. Go do your work."
The servant still looked uneasy. "Could it be… could it be a stomach condition?"
Zoria froze. Her stomach had always been fine—how could she suddenly have a stomach illness? "Wait until Dr. Luke comes tonight. I’ll ask him. I really can’t eat right now. You can go."
The servant nodded and quietly left.
Zoria went back to her room, kicked off her shoes, and climbed onto the bed. Lately, she hadn’t been sleeping well, and nausea kept washing over her, making her feel like she might throw up at any moment. She didn’t know whether her stomach was actually having problems or not.
Zoria rubbed her abdomen and closed her eyes. Suddenly, a thought struck her, and she rolled off the bed at once. Could it be… was she pregnant again?
When she had been pregnant with her first child, she had suffered from the same kind of morning sickness. Her current condition felt almost exactly the same as it had back then.
The more she thought about it, the more likely it seemed. Zoria frowned as she stared at her stomach. A cold sweat slowly seeped out along her back.
She left her room and went to Dr. Luke’s study, rummaging around to see if there were any pregnancy test strips. After searching for a while, she unexpectedly found a small box containing them.
She opened it, took one strip, and slipped it into her pocket. Then she carefully put everything back where it belonged, quietly returned to her bedroom, and went into the bathroom to test.
Zoria was tense, her breathing rapid, her blood seeming to boil. She absolutely did not want to be pregnant again. This womb of hers should never have another child.
Five minutes later, Zoria picked up the test strip and looked at it.
Two red lines. Positive. She was pregnant again…
Zoria sat dazed on the bed, then finally collapsed to her knees on the floor, curling in on herself. Her eyes burned, her face felt cold, and only then did she realize she was crying. Tears spilled out uncontrollably. She felt unbearably cowardly for continuing to carry Zephyr’s child before she had even figured out how to take revenge on him.
This child should not exist… it should not exist!
Her sobs clogged her throat, leaving only tears pouring down. Zoria suddenly straightened up, clenched her fists, and slammed them hard into her abdomen.
Zoria, how could you be this disgusting? Absolutely disgusting. Why did you get pregnant again?
She staggered to her feet and went to the bedside cabinet, pulling open the drawer to look at the bottle inside. It was the abortion medicine she had bought earlier. She had almost forgotten about it. As long as she took it, she would no longer be pregnant.
Zoria opened the cap and poured out two pills. But when she was about to swallow them, she hesitated.
Was she really going to let this child quietly disappear just like that? Zoria bit down hard on her teeth, a vicious glint flashing in her eyes. She clearly remembered the instructions: after taking the medicine, it would take effect in about six hours.
Zoria glanced at the time, then swallowed the two pills. The timing would be just right, shortly before Zephyr came back.
Zephyr returned home at exactly five o’clock every day. When he arrived, he asked the servants about the situation. After learning that Zoria hadn’t eaten lunch, he went straight up to the bedroom.
Zoria lay on the bed, looking as though she were sleeping peacefully. Beneath the thin blanket, her body was curled in on itself. Zephyr sat down, slipped his hand under the blanket, and slowly stroked along Zoria’s spine. Beneath his palm was the smooth, warm, jade-like skin of an Omega. At first, he only meant to wake her, but the more he touched her, the stronger the desire inside him grew.
