Chapter 43 Forty Three

Chapter 43 Forty Three
Izzy finally stepped into her apartment, shutting the door behind her with a soft click.

The silence of her home was almost jarring after the three days with Dominic.

His mansion had been alive with constant motion, from the staff moving around to the rush of shared mornings, long walks, endless meals, and nights that seemed to stretch forever into intimacy. Here, there was only quiet. The hum of the air conditioner, the faint sound of traffic outside… ordinary, mundane, normal.

She sank onto the sofa, her bag falling to the floor with a thud.

Her body still tingled with the memory of his hands, the heat of his skin, and the way he had claimed her without hesitation. She closed her eyes, letting herself remember the nights they had spent together.

Each one had been intense, urgent, and consuming. Every time she thought she had a moment to breathe, he would appear, kissing her, touching her, making her want him all over again.

Her muscles were sore from pleasure, her skin still flushed from the memory of his touch. She was exhausted, yes, but in a way that made her smile…tired in body but alive in every other sense.

Her phone buzzed on the coffee table. She reached for it, expecting a routine notification… but it was Dominic.

Hope you made it back safely. Don’t miss me too much.

She smirked, shaking her head. He was relentless, even in text, teasing her, marking his presence, keeping her attention. She let out a soft laugh and slipped the phone back onto the table, thinking how easy it would have been to respond… but she didn’t. Not yet.

A knock on the door broke her reverie. She looked up, and there was Maya, standing there with her usual energetic grin.

“I knew you’d be back today!” Maya said, barging in without waiting for an invitation. “So… tell me everything. I need details. How was it?. Give me all the juicy parts!”

Izzy chuckled, moving aside so Maya could flop onto the sofa beside her. “Maya… it was… overwhelming. Physically, emotionally… everything. He’s… relentless. I think I haven’t had a proper break in three days.”

Maya raised an eyebrow, clearly entertained. “Ha! You whore.… you must be worn out from all those sex huh.”

“It wasn’t just that,” Izzy admitted, running a hand through her hair. “It was… him. Being with him, it’s not just the sex. He’s intense in every way. I mean, every single interaction, every look, every touch… it just pulls you in. He’s… everywhere. Always demanding something from you.”

Maya leaned back and grinned. “Sounds like fun. Scary, yes, but fun. So… did you survive without falling head over heels?”

Izzy let out a small laugh, though her cheeks warmed. “I… I tried. I really did. But it’s Dominic. He doesn’t let you think. He doesn’t wait for you to catch up. He just… moves forward, and you’re forced to keep up.”

Maya nudged her playfully. “So… you've fallen too deep for him?”

Izzy hesitated, her voice soft. “Maybe too much.” She didn’t even need to explain. Maya already knew the answer. Her heart had been captured, whether she wanted to admit it or not.

“You're going to hurt yourself girl.” Maya’s tone was incredulous.

Izzy shook her head. “Of course not. He’s Dominic. He gets what he wants. But…his Falling for me but doesn't know yet.”

Maya laughed loudly, shaking her head. “That bastard. I can’t believe it… so who was the sex… was it wild?”

Izzy smiled faintly, resting her head against the back of the sofa. It was crazy… intense and amazing… I never knew I enjoyed being fucked and touched.. But with Dominic.. I can't explain it Maya... He makes me crazy.. He touches everything.”

Maya’s expression softened, and she nudged Izzy again. “Just… promise me you’ll keep your head. Don’t get too lost in him, okay? You need to survive the fallout when reality hits again.”

Izzy sighed, her gaze falling to her hands. “I… don’t know if I can, Maya. He’s… not like anyone I’ve ever met. Everything about him is too much, and yet… I want it. I want him.”

Maya laughed, standing up and stretching. “Well, if you want it, then own it. But just don’t let him own your heart… yet. That’s all I’m saying. You’re a smart girl… figure it out.”

They spent the next couple of hours talking about lighter things… Maya’s latest sex escapades, work gossip, and random life events.

Izzy laughed more than she had in days, the warmth of her friend’s presence grounding her, reminding her that life didn’t have to be dominated by desire and tension.

Yet, even as she talked and laughed, her mind wandered back to Dominic. She missed him already.

She could feel his energy lingering in her apartment as if he had left a trace of himself there. The way he had kissed her, touched her, whispered her name in the quiet of his mansion… it all replayed in her head. She knew she was addicted to the pull he had on her, the way he made her feel simultaneously safe and vulnerable.

By the time Maya left, Izzy was left in the quiet of her apartment once again. She sank onto her bed, pulling the covers over her shoulders. She picked up her phone and typed a short message to Dominic, her fingers trembling slightly:

Back home. Miss you already.

She hit send before she could overthink it.

As the message went out, she realized she didn’t need an immediate reply. Just sending it, acknowledging him, acknowledging herself, made her feel… better. Alive. Desired. Wanted.

For now, she would rest. She would let the day pass, let her body relax, let her mind wander through memories of the last three days. And she knew, deep down, that the next time Dominic came into her life, it would be just as intense, just as consuming…. and she was already craving it.
