Chapter 37
Throughout dinner the other ladies at the table kept me engaged in their Conversations wanting to know what I did and where I was brought up . I answered them as politely as I could . After dinner Daniel wanted to dance so I obliged. I hadn't danced in a long time .
“Jae?”
“Yes princess ”
“Why is everyone staring at me?” .
“Green Eyes ,green dress, perfect body, right size , right height basically perfect in every single way and extraordinarily beautiful that's what they see”
“Really and what do you see?”
“ My wife ,the mother of my child . I see beauty ,I see perfection .But I also see a strong , determined , loving , selfless , independent and smart woman. I see a fighter. That is what I see ,princess. not just the beauty but the inside too ”
“Thank you Jae For finding me , loving me and making me happy”
“I'll always find you and always make you happy.”
I started feeling queasy. I was going to throw up .
“Jae”
“ yes princess”
“ I feel sick”
“ Okay let's get you to the washroom”
When we got to the washroom I told him to wait outside. He was a bit hesitant but I assured him . After I threw up I was standing by the sink washing my face and mouth. I turned off the tap when I looked into the mirror and all the blood drained from my face. Sean was standing behind me with a gun to my head. “Scream, go ahead and Scream this time I won't miss take off the ring”
“No ”
“Take the fucking ring off Athena”
I took it off and left it by the sink.
“ let's go”
Daniel
The evening was perfect ,she had to throw up. I would need to expect that a lot now . She's been in the washroom for over ten minutes. I knew she was alone in there , because no one else came in or came out . So I knocked on the door. “Athena are you okay?”
No answer
“ Athena ?”I started getting worried . I knocked on the door again.
“If anyone is in there I'm coming in” .I pushed the door open but the washroom was empty. I saw something on the counter. When I picked it up I started getting a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. It was her wedding ring.I checked all the stalls and couldn't find her. I pulled my phone out and called Greg .
“Mr Chase”
“ Greg, she's gone. Tell Mark to search the hotel , find her”
I rushed back out and ran into Cyrus .“What's going on? ”
“Athena is gone”
I saw Mark Rush in . “Mr Chase, a bellboy , said he saw someone that looks like Mrs Chase being forced into a car about ten minutes ago by the loading dock” .
“They have her , I'm going after them , Cyrus call dad” .
“Like hell I'm coming with you mark take My wife home . Natalie call mom and dad and tell them”
“Okay please find her”
I didn't wait for him. I ran out of the hotel Greg was already in the car . “Did he say which way and did he get a good look at the car?”
“ Yes sir he said they went North in a black BMW ”
“Okay let's go”
“ Daniel, we'll need to get the police involved . I'll call Natalie's brother”
“I don't care, Cyrus, I want her back ”.
We drove for hours but we couldn't find her , where was she , was she okay ,he was going to hurt her that much i know . When we got back to my Apartment my parents were there and so was Natalie.Mrs Mendez was sitting with them . My mother saw me first. “Where is she Daniel?”
“ I don't know mom ”
“I called in a few favours ,Son the FBI will get involved .we want her back” .
I couldn't say anything. I just left them and went to my room ,our room .The shirt she wore earlier was on the bed, I picked up her pillow ,it had her scent . I felt fucking lost I walked into the bathroom and stood under the shower in my tuxedo and all , I just stood there. She came into my life and turned it upside down now she's gone . She was pregnant and he took her. I couldn't describe the anger I felt .
I walked out of the bathroom in my wet clothes. They were still sitting in the living room . I walked into my office and got the gun I had there.I didn't care. I walked out, I walked out of the apartment .
“Daniel where are you going?”
“ Oh shit Greg he has a gun I think he's going to Senator Johnson's place. Cyrus, Grab him”
I felt someone grab onto me“ Daniel give me the gun ”
“They have her, they fucking have her they're going to hurt her”
“Son don't do anything stupid. the FBI agents will be here soon let them handle this”.
“I can't wait, she's pregnant. I don't know what's happening to her ”.
“Daniel please” .
Athena
Sean forced me out through an exit door in the washroom then through the kitchen to the loading dock . He pushed me into a car he already had there. I would run but my child . I couldn't let him know I was pregnant. Where was he taking me? I tried to fight him but couldn't , he hit me in the head with the gun and I blacked out. I don't know how long I was out, when I came to and opened my eyes the car was parked in front of a cabin.There wasn't anyone around so I opened the car door and I started running but I didn't get far. I felt someone grab me by my hair and started dragging me. It could only be Sean.
“Where the fuck do you think you're going Athena?”
I started screaming he wouldn't let go of my hair .“Sean please let me go ”
“That's what I like to hear ,I missed hearing you scream ”
“What do you want from me Sean?”
“ I want you, you're my Obsession . The only one that is perfect for me”
“Sean please let me go, please”
“No”
He dragged me up the stairs into the cabin ,he just left me on the ground and closed the door and just stood there I stood up and I looked at him .“why are you doing this to Me? what do you want from me ?let me go I won't be any trouble ”
“Let you go I don't think so, I'm not done with you yet . You see, you're strong, you can handle the pain . I've been looking for someone like you and now that I've found you . You actually think I'll let you go ?”
I was more Angry than scared. Angry that he would do something like this. I never did figure out why he treated me like this but now I know. “what did I do to you what exactly ”
“ You were just you and let me see the you strung me along for six fucking months and ,then tell me you wanted to wait until you get married to have sex. then you would have other men looking at you”
“ How was that my fault Sean . How is it my fault that other men look at me ,that is not my fault Sean”
The minute those words left my mouth he slapped me. He slapped me so hard that blood came out of my mouth.“ You're not even a man, how can you call yourself a man .That's the only way you get off right? its beating the fuck out of me. that's the only way you can get that Small fucking dick up”
He slapped me again, he then grabbed me by my throat and braced me against the wall he pulled the gun out and placed it at my head. I just looked at him .
“Go ahead, kill me. Do it ,you don't have the guts to do it you can't do it because the minute you kill me the fucking game is over .you can't kill me because no one else is ever going to fall for your fucking lies, I'm the only one that ever did and the minute you kill me that's the end of the game . You'll have to look for someone else and it won't be easy”
