I crept around to the other side of the bed, eyeing the gun. A Glock to be exact. I'd grown up shooting guns, but never at anything but a paper target. I allowed my arm to reach out, my fingers touching the cold steel. All I would have to do is incapacitate him, not actually do any real damage. Then I would have the upper hand.
Fear rose in my throat, crawling inside every muscle. I took a deep breath, pulling the gun a few inches off the dresser. I shrank back, angry with myself for even having the thought. I wasn't that kind of woman, no matter what had happened to me.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" With a hard yank, Michael jerked me back onto the bed, dumping me on top of him. He wrangled the weapon away from me, growling in a low-slung fashion as he gingerly placed it on the dresser. "That wasn't very nice of you."
"I wasn't going to do anything." Right. As if he was going to believe me.
He took both wrists into his hands before yanking me over his lap, issuing several hard smacks. "I told you what would happen if you don't follow the rules. Clearly, you can't. Should I take away all your privileges?"
There was an almost teasing tone in his voice, which pissed me off even more. "Stop it. Ouch! That hurts like a motherfucker."
"There's that mouth again."
He popped several against my already aching bottom, each smack harder than the one before. Even as I struggled, I wiggled back and forth across his throbbing cock. The pain and pleasure mixing together was uncomfortable. I was so wet, my entire body aroused from the way he handled me.
Demanding.
Dominating.
Possessive.
"I'll be good. Okay? I will," I pleaded, hating myself for doing so. I refused to be ashamed, humiliated by the experience, even though I was grinding my hips against his, trying to keep him turned on.
And the spanking continued, one. After. The. Other.
"Stop!"
"Only if you promise not to do that kind of crap again," he insisted.
At that point, I'd promise him the world. "Promise. Okay?"
As if satisfied, he pulled me up, giving me a stern look. "One more infraction and..."
I loathed when he did that, refusing to finish his sentence so my mind would think the worst. "Fine."
"Where were you planning on going, Francesca? I do want the truth."
I attempted to get off, but he snapped his wrist, dragging me on top of him. His prisoner. His... toy. "Let me go." I pushed down hard, only managing to straddle his waist, his cock in the most dangerous and delicious position.
He actually grinned, horribly amused at my predicament, his hand firmly placed around my wrist.
"I asked you a question," he whispered in a husky manner. The bastard was doing everything he could to be sexy as hell.
I wasn't going to fall for it. I was thirsty, hungry, and not in the mood for games. "Wherever I want."
"I see you haven't lost your sense of humor." He snagged my other wrist, pulling me down until our lips were almost touching. "You smell so sweet."
"And you smell like an ass."
Laughing, his eyes twinkled in a manner I hadn't seen them do before, as if his spirits were lifted. He even had a boyish appearance, the slight dimple in his chin pronounced by the moonlight. "I should hate you."
"You should."
"I should do everything in my power to destroy you."
"Absolutely," he muttered as he drew me even closer until our lips were only centimeters apart. "Then why don't you?"
"Who says I won't?" The way his lips brushed against mine was more intimate than any sexual contact we'd had. He simply moved his head beseechingly slowly back and forth, providing a hint of a touch. My lips parted involuntarily, my tongue determined to have a mind of its own as the tip darted out, shifting back and forth. I tingled all over, just like before, every inch of my skin popping with goosebumps.
He cupped my cheek and chin, rubbing his thumb in circles as he pressed our lips together. Every touch was feathery light, a mere exploration, setting my world on fire. A slight growl pushed up from his throat, possessive in nature as he finally captured my mouth.
I rocked my body forward, the friction of his shaft slicing against my pussy electrifying. As he slid his tongue into my mouth, taking full control as his actions became more aggressive, I fell into the moment, letting go. There was no mad, mad world full of vicious criminals. There were no monsters lurking in the darkness.
There was just the two of us.
Hungering.
Exploring.
Demanding.
As the kiss became a passionate roar, he slid his hand down my spine, cupping my buttocks and pulling me forward. There was no hesitation, my body yearning for him, opening up like a blooming flower. His cock slipped easily inside, past my aching muscles, in so deep that I moaned into the kiss.
He held me that way for a full minute, not allowing me to move or rock my body. But the magnificent French kiss continued, our tongues dancing together, our hearts racing. He rubbed his knuckles along my side, trailing up the length of my arm. I was free to ride him, free to take what I wanted. He let go of my other arm, lifting his over his head.
I pressed my palms against his chest, pushing down until my arms were straight and locked. I wanted to tower over him for a change. I gyrated my hips, rocking up and down. He simply stared at me, almost never blinking, studying me so intently as if he could see into my very soul.
A moan slipped past my lips as the sensations increased, jetting into every cell and muscle. I felt free for the first time in so long, untethered by my mental chains. There was no sense to this, no possible understanding. I continued riding him, moving up and down until my breath was stolen, an unexpected climax shooting into me. I stared down at him with hazy eyes, shaking like a leaf.
