"Where is your Alpha now?" Chloe asked.
"I have no idea. I think he had to attend to something." I shrugged, lying on the bed with my phone held above my face.
"Aren't you supposed to know everything about each other now?" She chuckled, grabbing a pack of chips, disturbing my ears with its sound as she opened it. " Uh?"
"How can I know everything about him?" I rolled my eyes "Where's Mae?"
"She's in... oh, she just walked in. Mae, Jane's on the phone. Where have you been?"
"Nowhere!" She quickly replied, drawing my suspicions to her. She walked over to the camera and waved her hand, dropping a bag beside her. "What's up Jane?"
"I'm good. How's everything over there?"
"It's going really great. You're glowing excessively. Are you certain we shouldn't be preparing for the arrival of the next Alpha to this pack?" She teased.
I rolled my eyes at her. "Do you ever stop rambling nonsense?"
"Are you fucking kidding right now? Why not?" Chloe wondered. "Haven't you seduced him? You know this is a perfect opportunity to trap him in your claws, yet you're messing it up?"
"Why wouldn't you seduce him? Not even a kiss? Your relationship is still the same as when you left? How can you misuse such a great opportunity?" Mae cried.
"Girls, calm down." I chuckled. "Actually, Keegan and I are kind of in a fake relationship. We're acting as a couple for the vacation." I shrugged.
Both their jaws dropped then they glanced at each other before returning their gaze to the screen. " Keegan?" they asked in unison.
"Oh." I face palmed. "We're surrounded by humans, there's barely any werewolves here, so to not draw any suspicions to us, we're calling each other by our names."
They puzzled expressions transformed to a smirk.
"I don't know why but that just feels romantic for your kind of relationship." Mae teased.
"But what exactly do you mean by acting as a couple? No restrictions?"
"There are... I mean, I don't know yet."
"I need more details."
"It's nothing special. It's just for fun."
"Kisses are allowed?" Mae asked, another smirk was tempting to form at the corner of her lips.
I couldn't spread too much information about our fake relationship. It was surely going to end for him after the vacation, I couldn't take the risk of them teasing me about it for the rest of my life. "Yes, let's forget that for now."
"How's it possible for us to forget it?" Chloe rolled her eyes.
"She clearly isn't ready to talk about it yet. She'll come along."
"Yeah, right. Anyway, if you need help with seduction, don't hesitate to reach out to us. Don't let those sexy dresses we slid into the bag go to a waste."
"Exactly! Your 'Keegan' might be too busy for time for that. You might not have the chance for uninterrupted quality time with him."
"I'll consider it. Right now, I need to make breakfast."
Keegan walked in in his shorts and single, drying his sweaty body with a towel.
"Hey girlfriend, I bet you must've missed me. I went on a run and you were still sleeping, so I didn't want to disturb you." He explained at such a wrong timing.
I glanced at Mae and Chloe smirking at me.
"Good afternoon, Alpha." Mae greeted to draw attention.
"Bye girls, I'll call you later." I waved and quickly ended the call before they mentioned anything crazy.
"That was Mae, right?"
"Yes, and Chloe."
"Oh," he chuckled. So he didn't care that they heard him calling me his girlfriend?
"Freshen up." I said and got out of bed and tied my hair up.
"Why? Are we going somewhere?"
"No, I have nowhere to go."
"Whe-"
"Just head to the bathroom and stop asking me questions." I demanded.
"Fine, whatever you say, your highness." He threw his towel at me. "You don't want to know what that towel has touched."
I shrieked and threw it away while he burst into laughter. "what was that for?" I groaned He continued laughed till he left for the bathroom.
I huffed then left for the kitchen. After washing my hand properly, I began to sort out a few ingredients from the leftover of what Keegan had brought to make breakfast last time? He had bought a lot of food items so I could make different things.
I began to cook and after a few minutes, Keegan walked into the kitchen then I felt Keegan's arm around my waist. He raised my hair and placed it behind my neck so he could plant a soft kiss on the nape of my neck. As expected, I felt more waves of pleasure springing from his kiss.
"What are you cooking and why? Don't you hate it so much? Plus, I said you're not going to work." He pulled away and twirled me to him.
"I know I said I hate cooking, but cooking for two people isn't so bad, it makes me feel better than cooking for hundreds of people.
"I don't want you to stress yourself out. I'll assist you."
"You don't have to!" I exclaimed, I couldn't let him ruin my food.
"Can I at least clean up? It'll make the process faster so we can watch a movie together afterwards." "We'd watch a movie?" My eyes brightened in an instant.
"Yes." "That's great! I'd make this really quickly. I've been looking forward to watching a movie." I turned to the pot and started mixing it really fast.
"The television isn't running away." He chuckled then started helping me out with cleaning up. When the meal was done, he the me to serve the food on the table in the kitchen.
With his help, I was done sooner than expected and we had our meal. I was eating really fast so I could watch the movie already. L couldn't believe I was going to have the chance to watch a movie without doing it stealthily to avoid Mrs. Bea from catching me and punishing me for doing it.
Keegan just kept chuckling and when I was done, he had finished his breakfast, so we did the dishes together. Afterwards, we left and I waited for him to set up the television then it took him a few minutes to deal with setting up the streaming media, I think he called it Nx. In the meantime, he called the beach house hotline, so by the time he was done, there was a knock on the door from who I assumed to be someone from the beach house staffs.
"Come in." he permitted.
The door knob twisted and two people in similar outfit walked in with a few packs of chips and popcorn and drinks. "Seriously? It's just the two of us."
"What's a movie without snacks?" he turned to the people and passed a few hundred bucks to them as their tip. "You fans, take your leave." "Thank you!" They excitedly took their leave. "What type of movie is it?"
"I assumed you'd like romantic movie so I searched the internet for the best romance movie in 2022 and we're watching the first one on the list." He explained then rose up to close the windows, making everywhere darker then pressed a remote that made the lights a mix of dim red and blue lights.
"This is so cute." I grinned, still exhilarated that I was going to watch a movie.
He slipped into bed right beside me and started the movie. I leaned my back against a pillow, ready to spend the next few hours watching a movie.
"I don't think couples sit like that when watching a movie at home." He shrugged and grabbed my arm to pull me closer, wrapping arms around my waist.
I chuckled and rested my head against his chest. Being in his embrace made me more excited to watch the movie.
"Aren't you tired of romantic movies? Why not sometimes else like action movies?" he complained.
I lifted my head to him, and shook my head on his chest. "you can watch those later. Isn't this so sweet? You'd learn a few tips to be more romantic."
He rolled his eyes. I could understand his frustration because he clearly wasn't into romantic movie and I had been watching them with him since this morning and it was almost midnight. It didn't miss a chance to excite me but he was obviously tired of the same genre because some of them had similar storylines. He didn't miss a chance to complain about the unrealistic scenes so many times while I just laughed.
"Pass a pack of chips for me." I extended my arm.
He reached for the chip and handed it to me. The bed was filled with so many empty packs of chips and popcorn and empty bottles of drinks from both of us. Neither of us has stood up except to use the bathroom and returned to our position. I was certain my body reeked of his scent and my scent was probably going to be around him as well because this snuggled had to be the longest.
He played a new movie and his hand rested on my bare tummy again as he caressed it as well as my hand like he had been doing for the last couple of hours at short intervals. It didn't stop making me feel tingles and made me feel super calm like never before. I loved being in his embrace. It was sad that it was going to be ending soon. If only Keegan could remain this sweet, my life could be better.
As much as I wanted to remain in the act, I needed to dive deeper into his past. If he was being controlled by his Mom his whole life like he claimed, then there could be a mix up somewhere.
