Chapter 33 Chapter 33
I squealed and jumped out of the couch to grab the blanket on the bed and wrapped it around my body.
Crystal still had her eyes widened in awe, her feet were glued to the floor as she fixed her focus on Alpha Keegan.
Alpha Keegan trudged to the bed and sat beside me, getting rid of his wrist watch and shoes.
"Mason is back." He said to Crystal without looking at her and started unbuttoning his shirt.
"Uh... o-okay." She let out a sharp breath, fidgeting with her fingers. "Jane- Omega, you can use these ointments. I'll leave them here. Meet up with me for proper and complete treatments later." She quickly dropped two packs of what I assumed were ointments and closed her box before running out of the room and shut the door.
I was still trying to catch my breath from the way I had screamed, while Alpha Keegan got rid of his shirt, not minding my presence. He rose from the bed and walked up to the table. His shirtless body drained my anxiety, the way his biceps moved around as he grabbed a few things from the table spiked an excitement in me. I was glued to the bed while clutching the blankets to my chest and gawking at Alpha Keegan like a stupid teenage girl.
He returned to the bed with one of the packs in his hands. He didn't say anything as he applied the ointments on me. The burning pain from the bruises felt relaxing as he touched them, the way his hand caressed my skin was awkwardly satisfying and refreshing.
If Crystal was right, it meant that I had no right to be mad at him. I felt so stupid for my unnecessary anger. I had to apologize to him. I opened my mouth to utter an apology, but couldn't say anything. How could I start the apology? What was I going to say I was apologizing for?
He stopped and left for the bathroom after grabbing his towel, not giving me the chance to apologize to him at this time.
I was glued to my bed and gawking at the door like a dummy. When I heard the sound of running water from the bathroom, I snapped back to my senses and rushed to my plastic bag to slip my nightgown out and wore it over my body.
When Alpha Keegan got out of the bathroom in only his boxers, he went straight to bed.
Okay, that just had to be the most awkward moment with someone. How could he just help me apply the ointments then go to bed?
Crystal's words kept replaying in my head. I had been mad at Alpha Keegan for nothing. He had not exactly been behind my torture, then why had Shane lied about it being Alpha's order all along? This made no sense.
"Where's that stupid mutt?" I heard Mrs. Bea yell." There you are, you fucking idiot, why are you sitting in the Alpha's room looking gormless?" I glanced at her where she stood by the opened door.
"Good morning, Mrs. Bea." I rose to my feet.
"I don't need you to greet me. There's a whole lot of work and you're sitting here? You aren't even cleaning the room. How dare you enter the Alpha's bedroom without-"
"What's with the yelling?" Alpha's Keegan asked, standing behind her, the deepness of his voice made her flinch as she turned to him.
"Good morning Alpha." She chuckled. "The Omega is"
"She stays here. It's her new room, for her safety."
"Oh..." it was obvious that she had something to say about it, but she couldn't question the Alpha's choice. "Okay. She needs to come downstairs now for
important chores."
"She'll be with you in ten minutes."
"Okay, Alpha. No problem." She smiled at him and took her ksve.
"Good afternoon, Alpha." I intended to start a conversation that'll lead to my apology. "I... uh... there's..." I stammered.
He walked up to me and took out a white box he had been keeping behind him without my notice. "glHave this."
"What is it?" I knitted my eyebrows at him with narrowed eyes and took the white box from him, inspecting the box like it contained a big piece of information.
"Open it." He rolled his eyes and walked away to his wardrobe, reaching out for his clothes and started throwing them into a basket.
Ai opened the box and my eyes and mouth widened at the sight of a phone, smiling its glory at me.
"Uh... Alpha Keegan?" I took the phone out, turning it around to check if there was anything I needed to know about it; the phone had a logo of a bitten apple and three huge camera lenses. I walked closer to him, "I think you forgot this. Do you need me to install your new phone, because I have zero knowledge of technology."
"It's yours."
"Mine?" a smile bounced on my face. "Wow... why?"
"Your security is at stake, so if you have a phone with you at the time, we'll be able to track you easily." He didn't stop throwing clothes out of his wardrobe.
"No way!" I couldn't control my excitement and squealed, jumping around. "Finally! Is this a dream?" I rushed to sit on the couch and dropped the phone on the table, watching the phone smile at me and glistening like a diamond. "How is this possible? I'm an omega. I thought I'd die without ever owning a phone." I lifted my gaze to Alpha Keegan who was staring at me like I was insane. He immediately took his gaze off me when he realized I was staring, walking away from the wardrobe. "Thank you so much, Alpha. You don't know how much this means to me!"
"It's not a favor, it's just for the safety of the pack members." He searched the pockets of the clothes he had thrown on the floor and picked a paper from one of them. "Meet Mason or anyone else to help you out with setting it up." He tucked the paper into his pants 'pocket and took his leave.
"Alpha Keegan bought this for you?" Crystal asked over Mason's shoulder in disbelief.
"Yes, he did." I replied, also surprised he could do that.
"That's... great." She smiled at Mason and they smiled at each other. I assumed they mind-linked each or something because they smirked before bursting into laughter.
"After setting up the phone, could you possibly help me out with Chloe's number?" I doubted if he was going to be able to do that.
"Chloe?" Crystal asked.
"Yes, she's a friend. She's an omega at Night Shadow pack." I explained.
"I'll try to." He replied, resuming what he was doing while Crystal - though he didn't ask her to- was massaging his shoulders.
After a long wait, he was finally done and I followed both of them to his office while he searched for files and after a while, he slipped out a paper and inputted the number on the paper into the phone's contact with Chloe's ID.
"Here you go. I'm done. You can add more contact numbers to it." He said with a stern face and rose to his feet.
"I still can't believe Alpha Keegan bought an iPhone 13 pro max for you. Your first phone is higher than mine." She pouted with fake jealousy.
"I'll buy yours for you tomorrow." Mason said.
"Really? I'm just kidding, you know that, right?"
He rolled his eyes at her and took his leave while she ran behind him.
"Don't run in your condition." He stopped her from running, snaking an arm around her.
"You're so dramatic..." their voices slowly faded as they left my sight.
"Gamma, I need you to-" Luna Kate stopped mid-sentence, staring at Mason's table then back at me, a frown automatically appeared on her face at my presence. "Why are you here? And why do you have a phone with you? You know it's against the rules." Her voice was gentle, like an intermediary between an angel's voice and a devil's voice. "I'm not breaking the rules. Alpha Keegan gave it to me for my security." I replied in a very polite manner.
"Keegan bought something for an ordinary Omega?" she frowned. "I knew something was wrong somewhere. Don't try to act stupid with my son. I'll always be watching you." She glared at me, then the phone, and scoffed before taking her leave. What did she mean by that? Well... who cares. She was the main person behind the evil of this pack, so it was no surprise for her to be rude.
