Chapter 13 Chapter 13
“Seduce the Alpha? Are you out of your mind Chloe?” I burst into laughter, not believing my ears.
"I'm not. It's crazy, yes, but I can help you out."
"No, please. I can't. Do you want me dead?" I frowned at her.
"You might die if you don't do it. Don't you realize how hard it is to survive in your current situation? I've seen how happy you look and how much you prefer this pack to your pack, and our Alpha to yours. Sadly, you don't belong to this pack, you're stuck with Alpha Keegan, and the only way to solve that is if you seduce him.
"He's certainly not going to forgive you anytime soon because he seems like an egoistic man; you'll have to sneak into his heart to have your way and set things right in your way." She shrugged.
"That man is heartless."
"You can-" she paused and sighed. "Well... I don't know what you'll do." She rose to her feet. "It's just advice, it's your choice to do it or not. Just know that if you ever change your mind and wish to seduce your Alpha, I have the best tips for you that'll certainly work out. Bye, for now." She pivoted and skipped out of the room.
Seduce Alpha Keegan? He'd certainly not rub his name in the mud by lusting after an omega. He had even rejected his previous mate who was an Alpha's daughter of another strong pack; it could've created greater opportunities for our pack, but that didn't bother Alpha Keegan; he had rejected her as well.
I had nothing special that could make me win him over.
For some reason, I had to clean Alpha Keegan's room again today. I couldn't tell whether it was going to be messed up or he just wanted me to overwork.
I had still been thinking about Chloe's advice and it was starting to make sense to me. I didn't want to dare it and place myself in a fire worse than this. Alpha Keegan could certainly not be lured by me.
I heaved a sigh to erase every confusion in my brain and gave the door a slight knock. I waited for a while till I hit the door again.
"Come in." He gruffed.
I opened the door and shoved myself in, scanning the room around first. It was a mess but not something he couldn't handle on his own. Who was I to complain?
"Good afternoon, Alpha." I greeted with a bow.
He only lifted his gaze to me, not bothering to respond to my greeting. "Yes, I'm very pissed off." He said to whoever was on the other end of the line of his call.
I started putting his room to order, trying to listen to his conversation as well as trying not to.
"My pack is fine. I'm still at Night Shadow pack. Wait till I return." He frowned harder than normal.
"Should I arrange these as well?" I asked in a low voice to avoid interrupting his call, referring to the scattered files around his table.
He lifted his vexed gaze to me, his eyes going over the files. "What the heck is your problem?" He hollered and I swear my heart jumped out of its cage.
"I'm sorry." I sheepishly apologized and focused on arranging other things.
He lifted a brow at me, accompanied by a roll of his eyes. "Don't piss me off any further. I'll attend to it." A beep sounded from the phone.
"Gosh, this people are so fucking stupid. These shenanigans just keep stressing me out and giving me a headache." He frowned, massaging his temples. " Pass my laptop."
I picked his laptop from the table and walked over to give it to him. I didn't take my leave even after he opened the laptop and started typing on it.
My palms became sweaty as I still considered Chloe's suggestion. What was I supposed to do if I wanted to seduce him? Was I supposed to start by smiling or by physical contact? Gosh, I was so clueless.
"Stop chewing on your nails, it's disgusting." He drew me out of my pool of thoughts.
"Hm?" I only realized my fingernails were stuck between my teeth. "Oh, I'm sorry."
"What are you standing here looking gormless?" His amber eyes were laced with fury and stressed out.
"I was... uh... I think you said you have a headache. I can give you a massage, I'm really great at massages." I smiled, trying to conceal the fear reeling in me.
"What the heck? Why would I let you massage me?" he scrunched his face up, enough to peel my smile off.
"I'm really great at it. I've given Beta Scarlett a massage and her headache was gone. When I had to run an errand for you at the pack hospital, I had also given someone a head massage and Doctor Crystal credited me that I should have a degree as a masseuse." I wore my smile again, ignoring the thundering beating of my heart.
He didn't utter a word, only peering at me with a blank expression. At least he wasn't frowning, yet his silence scared me more than I ever imagined.
"Get out." He broke the silence in almost a whisper.
"I'm sorry. I'm done with setting the room in order. I'll leave now." I pivoted to take my leave. The feeling of his eyes on me made me hasten my steps to the
door.
I opened the door at the exact time a maid-looking lady raised her hand to knock.
"Oh, you're here." She smiled at me. "Alpha Vladimir would like to see you."
A grin was plastered on my face, washing my previous nervousness away. "Great! I'll be there-"
"Omega," Alpha Keegan called. "Come here and shut the door."
"Shit." I muttered to myself. "Uh... please let Vladimir know that I'm so sorry, but I have to attend to something else." I feigned a smile this time.
"Oh..." she drew her eyes in askance.
I shut the door and walked back to Alpha Keegan, still putting on my fake grin.
"Did you need something again, Alpha?" I called like the words were being forced out of my mouth.
"You seem to be forgetting something."
"No, not at all. I belong to you, Alpha Keegan, and no one else. How can I possibly forget that?" I tucked my hair to the back of my hair, smiling excessively with high hopes of a blush forming.
Alpha Keegan's amber eyes flashed with an unrecognizable emotion which gradually formed into a frown. "Arrange those files on the table. You shouldn't leave without completing your task, and don't be around Vladimir."
"How can I possibly spend time with Vladimir when I am owned by a grater Alpha?" I walked to the table, arranging the files. Alpha Keegan's perplexed eyes didn't leave mine, permitting me to flash angel-like smiles at him. His gaze made my heart pound faster. He looked like he didn't know whether to roast me alive or call the ambulance.
"I'm done now." I turned to him, fluttering my eyelashes at him, hoping he wasn't going to notice the fear surrounding me from risking my life in such a manner.
"What are you doing?"
"Oh, nothing. Just serving my role as your personal slave." I tucked my hair behind my ears again, lowering my head with a blush forming on my face. I felt like I was doing a terrible job at seducing him and was also trying to control my breath to avoid looking breathless.
"Are you trying to flirt with me?" he asked, his frown not leaving his face for a moment.
I lifted my head to him, my heart pounding ten times faster. I tried to not let loose of my composure, curling my eyebrows upwards to look innocent. "If you consider it flirting, then it should be nice."
"You feel so confident? You aren't even afraid of the risk of flirting with your Alpha?" He sounded unaffected by everything going on around him, like his voice was a breeze floating freely.
"I have to be bold in doing something for who I belong to. I can't be afraid when..." I didn't know what to say and was having a hard time controlling my breathing as I walked closer to him, "... when I'm with the one who owns me." I internally gulped, placing my hands in his head to give him a massage against his will. "So I'd rather spend time here giving you a massage than go to someone-"
"Do you realize I can listen to your heartbeat if I wish to?"
I widened my eyes and yanked my hands from his head, my heart racing faster without control. "Your heart is throbbing swifter than normal. You're so scared. You could've done better with flirting if you were a little bit less scared than you are right now." He held his phone up to his face. "Don't try to act smart with me. Give me the damn massage then leave." He sat up straight. "Y-yes Alpha." I quickly started the head massage while he paid attention to his phone.
It was either Chloe was damn wrong or I sucked at seducing a man.
"Gosh, where's Chloe? I think I need help and I haven't see her all day." I continued my search for Chloe, not minding the fact that I was talking to myself.
"Yes, he's here." Vladimir's calming voice automatically halted my steps and made my worry vanish into thin air.
I had avoided Vladimir at all costs to avoid getting into trouble with Alpha Keegan, but I missed blushing around him and his gentle aura.
I peeked through the door where he stood in a dark room, his phone between his ear and hand.
"Keegan is still very stubborn and arrogant. I don't think it'll work out that way. We have to think of something else." His tone wasn't the sweet flirty tone of Vladimir, it was filled with the authority that came along with that Alpha title.
"Yes, I do... okay, great." He chortled. "It'll be fine... yes, I will Dad."
