Chapter 146 Mr. Windsor's Woman
Jasmine turned around and saw a young man walking into Forever—Frederick, dressed in a black coat, with striking features and a cold, brooding presence.
Her first thought was: He's so handsome!
Her second thought was: Who is he?
The moment he entered, all the staff in the store seemed to straighten their backs, as if he were a leader coming to inspect their work.
At that moment, Frederick cast a cold glance at her, then looked at the Forever manager standing respectfully beside him, his eyes showing clear displeasure.
Shocked, Jasmine looked at Amanda with embarrassment and anger.
Amanda's face had gone pale. "Mr. Windsor..."
Jasmine's heart skipped a beat, and she could barely breathe.
Working in the entertainment industry, Jasmine knew exactly which people were worth getting close to and which ones she could just brush off.
And Frederick was definitely the man that female celebrities in the circle most wanted to attach themselves to.
Even her coworkers said that forget about marrying Mr. Windsor and becoming Mrs. Windsor—just being his secret lover for a few years would set you up for life.
Jasmine had dreamed of being that chosen girl who would one day meet Frederick.
But she never imagined it would happen like this.
Cursing herself for speaking too quickly—not only failing to gain any advantage but also exposing her poor character—Jasmine was desperately thinking of how to make up for it.
"Hello, Mr. Windsor—"
Before Jasmine could finish her greeting, Frederick had already turned and headed toward the back.
That was Forever's VIP reception area.
Not only her, but even Amanda didn't have the credentials to enter there.
At least Frederick hadn't ordered them thrown out.
Jasmine had just breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Frederick, who had reached the entrance, stop in his tracks.
Frederick turned back to look at Rebecca. "Come here..."
"Oh."
Rebecca withdrew her gaze from the jewelry in the display case and slowly walked forward, following Frederick into the VIP area.
The automatic door slowly closed.
They couldn't tell if Rebecca and Frederick had entered the same VIP room.
Nor could they tell what kind of relationship the two had.
Amanda and Jasmine exchanged glances, panicking beyond measure.
Could Frederick be the mysterious big shot behind Rebecca?
If it really was him, then... wouldn't Rebecca be his woman?
Had they just offended Frederick's woman?
Even if Rebecca had nothing to do with Frederick, just that one "come here" was enough to show they weren't strangers.
All Amanda could think about was not offending Rebecca and indirectly provoking Frederick. She quickly came up with a solution. "Pay for it! Wrap up the jewelry for me, and I'll give it to Rebecca later..."
She met the sales clerk's apologetic expression.
"Miss Wallace, I'm sorry..."
The clerk said softly, "Mr. Windsor's orders—nothing in the store is to be sold to either of you."
Amanda looked shocked. "But I'm a diamond member of Forever!"
"I apologize!"
The clerk remained composed. "Mr. Windsor is a shareholder of Forever. He has decision-making authority over all domestic stores."
"Then Rebecca is..."
"I'm sorry, Forever doesn't disclose customer privacy!"
Walking out of Forever, Amanda was completely panicked.
She had wanted to buy Silver Frost because she was attending a banquet at the Taylor family's in a few days.
Other wealthy young ladies would also be at the banquet.
From her dress to her stylist, to her bag and jewelry, she had started preparing a month in advance, determined to outshine everyone at the party and make the Taylor family decide on her.
Running into Rebecca was unexpected, and it reminded her of Silver Frost.
She never imagined that not only would she fail to buy Silver Frost, but she'd also offend Frederick.
If the Taylor family found out, she'd be finished.
The more she thought about it, the more panicked she became. Then, remembering that it was Jasmine's idea to go shopping today and that Jasmine was the first to mock Rebecca, Amanda swung her hand and slapped her across the face. "Bitch, this is all your fault!"
