Chapter 65 I'm here - Miguel POV
She looks at me with pure shock on her face.
She's lost some weight, and she didn't have much to begin with. Her cheeks look a little hollowed out.
This is my fault. I didn't even know Ben was busy terrorising Katherine. If I was there, I could have stopped it.
"What..." She shakes her head in confusion. "What are you doing here?"
I knew coming here would be a risk.
But fuck, I haven't seen her in months. I knew her company was coming to South Korea, and I've been here for a month and a half. All the stars alligned for us to be here together.
So it was a risk I was willing to take.
"I'm stationed here for a while."
She frowns, and I want to wipe the expression off her beautiful face. If it was up to me, she would never have one.
"How did you get into my room?" She holds her hand up before I can answer. "You know what, don't answer that. You have a way to get into places without having a key."
I smirk. I do have a very specialised set of skills that came in very handy when chasing her. It came in handy tonight.
She scoffs and pulls her suitcase further into the room, past me. I notice the dark circles under her eyes, and I catch her by the forearm to still her.
She looks tired. Not the kind of tired from being on a plane for too long, but the kind that comes from your soul.
"You don't look good."
Fire blazes in her eyes and she pulls her arm from my grip.
"Gee thanks! It must be from finding out I was dating a fucking murdering psychopath for seven fucking years!" She spits out. "Oh wait! You're a murdering psychopath, too!"
"Glad you got that off your chest?" I raise an eyebrow at her. "And yes, I'm probably a murdering psychopath, but I don't kill for personal gain or innocent people. And never compare me to my brother again, we are nothing alike."
Red spots appear on her cheeks in frustration. She folds her arms over her chest, and I can't deny that I like this little firecracker part of her.
"I wouldn't know that, now would I?" Her eyes narrow. "The two of us have never talked. You chase me, catch me, fuck me and then you leave."
"I know everything about you."
"You know nothing about me."
"I know you get up at four-thirty in the morning and run for an hour. Then you do stretching exercises for an hour and a half before you leave for the studio. I know what kind of food you eat to maintain your weight, high volume, low calorie." I smile when she narrows her eyes even further. "I know you like long, hot showers and that you feel guilty you don't spend enough time with your family. I know that apart from your love for your family, ballet is the most important thing to you, that you feel alive when you are on that stage. And I know that you loved Ben once upon a time, but that love turned into a friendship a long time ago."
She's quiet for a beat, those emerald green eyes searching mine.
"How do you know that I wasn't in love with Ben for a long time?"
This time when I take her forearm, she doesn't pull away, and I take advantage of that and bring her up against me.
"Because if you did, you wouldnt have been waiting for me in anticipation, would you?" She steals my breath away just from being so close to me. "You would never have let me touch you."
"Why?" She whispers up at me. "Why did you come after me?"
"Because I wanted you." I answer with no holding back. "Because I have always wanted you."
She looks confused. This is my chance. It is my time. She's finally single, and I don't give a fuck if she was engaged to my brother, I'm not letting her slip through my fingers ever again.
"I have wanted you since that first day of school when I saw you getting out of your mother's car. I don't know what it was about you, maybe it was because your mother reminded me of my own." I tell her with no restraint. "I have asked myself this many times over the years, but I think it's just you. Your softness, your calmness, the way you always try to see the good in things even when they're bad."
It seems that she's trying to process all this information in her head, but the confusion remains, so I lift her chin with my finger, and run my thumb over those lips that I have dreams over.
"I know this is a surprise for you, but I've seen you since you were fourteen, and I haven't stopped looking."
I feel a deep sense of longing when she steps back out of my embrace and rub her eyes.
"Miguel."
My name on her lips sounds like manna from heaven, but I know I just dropped a bombshell on her, so I let her go.
"I honestly don't know what to make of this. Everything is just too much, too soon."
"I understand." I advance on her, and she takes another step back, but I follow her until she has her back flat against the wall, and I cage her in with my arms.
"But know this, I've already had you. I've already tasted you, and nothing and nobody will stop me until you're completely mine."
