CHAPTER 39
CHAPTER 39
Adrain ignored his questions and released his hold on Sara’s waist. He placed her against the door and walked off, stopping in front of Elijah, who was still clinging onto the security guards for support. He leaned down, making sure his face was close to his.
“If you ever harass Sara again or so much as look at her, your whole family would face my wrath.”
Sending Elijah one final glare, Adrain pulled Sara’s hand, and together the two walked out of the room and out of the party. Sara spared a glance at Adrain and shivered at the look in his eyes.
His usually calm eyes were now restless and burning. He was angry, no doubt; she just hoped he wouldn’t punish her for her involvement with Elijah because she had been struggling to break free from him.
Just thinking about what would happen if Adrain sent shivers down her spine.
Elijah had been determined to have his way; he had been set on his goal, and she wouldn’t have been able to stop him even if she broke a bottle over his head. He’d have just gotten up with a side of his head gushing and pounced on her.
Sara shivered as Adrain slammed her car door and watched with trembling hands as he walked to the other side of the car."We're going home now." His voice was like cutting steel, and Sara nodded, not sure if he wanted her to say anything else.
She watched as he drove out of the hotel and gripped the seat tightly. His speed was once again life-threatening, and his grip on the steering wheel was hard, just the way she was gripping the seat. 'Please slow down.' She whispered in her head, afraid to say it out loud.
His speed was getting faster with each turn, and when he stopped at a traffic light, Sara sighed in relief, releasing her grip on the seat. Sara gasped when he resumed driving again; the light was now green, meaning they were free to go. She stared at him, but he didn't look away from the road, his eyes concentrating on his driving.
She shifted her eyes and took a breath as the car suddenly stopped. She didn't open her eyes even when she felt him get out of the car. It was when she felt him drug her hands that she gasped and opeed her eyes wondering what was going on.She frowned as she took in their new surroundings.
It was a dark and secluded park; not a single soul was around. She was still getting used to the new unfamiliar environment when Adrian held her hands and pinned her to the car door he had just slammed shut. "What are you doing?"
He didn't reply to her and instead kept staring at her. Sara felt uneasy under his hard gaze. His eyes were still as hard as steel, and his mouth was formed in a thin line. He wasn't saying anything, and Sara wondered what was on his mind. She opened her mouth to question him, but he beat her, shocking her with his question.
"Did you seduce Elijah on purpose?" "Are you out of your mind? How can you even ask me that?! " Sara glared at him, anger and disgust rising in her chest.
"You haven't answered my question! Did you seduce him on purpose? Did you want him to touch you? Did you like him..?" "Stop it; you've gone mad, Adrain, to even think that." Sara spat, silencing him. "He forced himself on me; I didn't appreciate it." She said, glaring at him. What? Sara wished she had heard wrongly.
Did he just ask her that? What was wrong with him? He had been the one to rescue her, so how could he even ask her that?
She had been crying when he had arrived. She had struggled with Elijah, the disgusting man who thought she was only a toy simply because Adrian had given her to him as his pretend girlfriend.
He clearly taken things too far and now Adrain was questioning… "But that wasn't what he said." Sara scoffed but didn't say anything. Of course he chose to believe what Elijah had said over what he had to say.
"Who cares what he had to say? Wasn't it obvious to you that he forced himself on me? Didn't you see me struggling?" She barked staring at his eyes and he stared back wordlessly, breathing heavily.
Soon enough, the two engaged in a silent staring contest, neither of them backing out. Sara's anger was hitting the roof, and Adrain didn't seem to be happy either. Seeing Elijah touch Sara like that had been too much to handle.
He would have killed the guy if Sara hadn't stopped him from doing so. Why would she even stop him if she claimed she didn't like his touch? He asked her this, and she raised her hands, slapping him across the face.
"You're the biggest ass I have seen in such a long time." Sara breathed, glaring at him, not caring what the consequences of her actions were.
He had crossed the line by questioning her character. "You're despicable for even daring to question me like that. What should I have done? Should I have let you punch him to death? Or should I have stayed quiet while he coughed blood? Maybe I should have called the cops; who knows, maybe you and Elijah would be sharing a jail cell right now." She snapped, spitting in his face.
Adrain growled as he wiped her saliva off his face with his hands and grabbed her, pinning her to the car. She flinched, struggling to pull away from him. "You're resisting me. Maybe if you'd done half of this, Elijah would have let you go before I even got there. Or perhaps you wanted me to see you with him?" He asked and stared down at her eyes, ignoring the fury he saw building up.
"You wanted me to see two of you together, didn't you?" "What are you even saying? Let me go, Adrain; you have been drinking."
His grip on her arm only tightened more.
"You will be punished, Sara. Elijah put his hands on you, and you didn't resist, but I am putting mine on you, and you're resisting. Did you enjoy his touch? Do you wish I was him right now?" Sara struggled as fear gripped.
He was acting like a crazed man, and after the night she had just had, she really couldn't deal with another drunk rapist. "Let go of me, Adrain."
"What did I say about resisting your punishment? Don't worry, you'll enjoy it, I promise."
Let me love you, Sara; you'll enjoy it. Elijah's words were coming back to her, and she was trying hard not to compare the two because, unlike Elijah, Adrain would never force her to do anything.
Or wouldn't he?Sara didn't like the direction her mind was headed; Elijah and Adrian were two different people. Elijah wouldn't mind taking advantage of her, but Adrian gave her pleasure. "I'm not trying to hurt you, Sara, but you
have to be punished for enjoying being in Elijah's arms.”
