Chapter 104
Accepting The Parent!
After going to see his mother who had called him to see his mother Tommy was more than the word mad but it was his father and for the last thirty years of his life he had not felt the fatherly life he had to get because of his father's negligence towards a lot of things.
He had not only done that but he had left his mother for another woman who had duped him now and he was back full time because he was sick and needed help with his medical bills.
Isabella had been trying to get him to have a one-on-one moment with his father so that he would know how to handle the sickness and even try getting back his company but Tommy was super hurt and he wouldn't budge he asked Isabella a question he should never have asked in the first place.
"What if I left you with baby Kate and the little one in your stomach and leave for thirty years how would you feel goddammit, you shouldn't try preventing me from venting my feelings towards this man who didn't care about me even for the least because it is never going to be the same, you grew up with your parents up until when your day passed, I had just my adopted mother whom I didn't know I was adopted until we started dating and the truth had to come out for us to have a flourishing relationship so what the hell do you mean I should forgive him," he asked.
It was clear that she was trying to make him calm down but at the same time he was not having it he was going through a lot of emotions and he wouldn't have her saying things she didn't know but he forgot she was his wife and automatically whatever hurt him would hurt her too and this was just a to if the iceberg for him and get he had handled it wrongly.
This was not the best thing to do or say when your wife was pregnant and just trying to make him happy or to be fine.
Isabella as usual did not respond to what he was saying she left and went upstairs because if bourse she wouldn't want to get too carried away with the way she was seeing him going she drove him out of the room when he tried to come in.
"I have attempted to make you understand the way things are but since you do not want to listen to me and in other words you terming me a troubleshooter our relationship I would have loved that you just listened to me but no you didn't do that you rather made me feel like I was not helping you I beg of you to leave me alone," She said and although he so much wanted to know what was happening to her after he had been rude towards her but he didn't want to push too hard because she could react differently and her blood pressure might increase and he wouldn't want that to happen with her present condition she could lose the baby.
After several hours of being inside the room and not wanting to talk to Tommy, he finally came to the door and began apologising to her for the at he had spoken to her and he also was trying to get her something to eat but she wasn't responding him through the four and the moment he said he was going to make peace with his father was the only time she came out of her room and she looked at him deep into his eyes and asked if he was serious about making up with his father and he accepted saying he promised he was going to make up with his father and help as well as he could help out but he also made her understand it was never an easy journey and he would try to make sure she was always his priority and he was sorry that he had even made the words he did when he was talking to her.
Walking out of the room to the home-cook lasagna he had made her belly began to growl and that was when she told him that he had prepared the food ever since and she had even perceived the flavour but because she was not ready to face him yet so she decided to be inside the house.
After she ate the food they agreed to go meet his mother that evening to make arrangements for his father's surgery or treatment or whatever he wanted to do and after that, he was going to make sure his father was well off and he didn't know if he would want to be in his father's life or not.
They drive down there and Isabella was holding his hands and then he was rubbing his hands and telling him not to be bothered about what was going on but he should tell his father what he felt and then tell them what he wanted to do and after that, he was going to return to his life as though there was nothing wrong.
After about two hours of the two men talking and his father begging and yelling at him that he was not supposed to do what he was doing because he was his dad but he was doing it because he was a philanthropist and for some time he would always be available but his father should know they would never have the relationship that he wished for.
In hearing this she was happy he had even given it a thought to be in a relationship with his father. He gave his mom some money to commence treatment and then they left for their home Isabella was proud of Tommy for trying his best to make him a part of his life.
They drove home to their baby who had returned home from school and wouldn't let her parents rest with the numerous school stories she had to say about one person being too busy at school or her teacher not doing one thing the way her mother did while back at him.
They can't smile and told her that things at school could never be the same as things at home.
She urged her father to play hide and go seek with her which he did and well she was that hard to find by the way but as a father, he had to make her believe that she was not that easy to find.
And once again he asked for the second round of their hide-and-go-seek session,
"Now where could baby Kate be?" he pretended to ask as he passed her a couple of times Isabella kept on laughing and she enjoyed moments like this.
Because of the luncheon preparation, she had not made her baby's first birthday as big as she wanted to now she was going to make sure his second birthday was super huge and fit into the retrospect of what she wanted the barbie girl and sometimes she wanted to he Elsa in Frozen so Isabella was thinking of a double Elsa cake.
The two were still so engrossed in their game as she sat on her swinging chair just wanting to enjoy the view of parenting as she saw him carry their baby and play.
How did she get this blessed? she mentally asked herself because she could never understand how much she could have been this blessed with a hunky demi-God of a man who loved her to no return.
"Now where could little Katie be,? her father pretended to look for her, and they were playing a hide and seek game, although he had seen her behind the couch he just wanted to go along with the game since she seemed to have taken her time to hide from him.
Being a kid she screamed " behind you daddy" and he caught her and began tickling her.
It was wonderful just how the little things changed after having a baby.
Who would have thought he would be playing with his baby girl now and even foregoing work on some days just so he could be with his family for dinners and the whole family vacation?
Being parents was quite enjoyable though they didn't have time for intimacy as before everything now was focused on Kate and the baby in her womb.
Kate was a very bubbly child who loved being happy and smiling at all times there were times her father had considered adding the name smiley to her name cause nothing ever got her angry she was in a playful mood at all times.
He was always happy when the weekends came and when the week was to begin he always felt down because he would miss her for some hours before she returned home.
Sometimes it felt kike she was having to fight her space in her husband's life with her husband but damn it was just her daughter and nothing could go wrong she understood that he was just happy being a dad and he didn't want her to go through the same thing that he had gone through when his father had left him and his mother to die. It was true with the saying that you just had to birth them because they grew so fast just a few days back that she was very tiny in the arms of her parents and delicate funny but true Isabella was scared of newborn babies she couldn't carry Kate very well for up to three months her mother always had supported her while she was breastfeeding Kate she got over get fear when Kate had gotten to four months when she had gained enough flesh she could hold.
But now at one and a half years, she was the chubbiest of all babies it was difficult for Isabella to carry her for up to five minutes without switching hands, especially now that she was pregnant.
After tackling the baby girl and getting her to sit down he brought her baby milk to give her after making baby noises and stuffing her face with milk she juggled it and swallowed while smiling and pointing to her father to have a share of her milk, and he pretended to have a share but in all honesty, he didn't know how they swallowed the milk from the breast he loved his wife's breast no doubt but having to swallow a lot of it at once damn, after she had given birth they were going to make love after her six weeks was up as prescribed by the doctor and in all excitement, he had forgotten she was a lactating mother and had launched for her breast like he always did and milk went into his mouth it wasn't the best experience for him that bight and she had laughed at him so hard because of the faces he was making and because he had screamed a little too loud than he had expected he got the baby up and she had to tend to the baby while her bigger baby had a boner and he was sulking.
Life with a newborn was not easy at all and getting to cope was another rollercoaster especially when they always got horny and Kate won't let them have a go at each other. She had the perfect timing for everything seemed she planned it.
