Chapter 105 — The Best Moments
"It's okay, Garret shouldn't be hidden. After all, Petra and I are together because of him, so our little hero should be here," Lyyana said, stroking and kissing Garret's head.
Mila and Chala stepped down from the dais, returning to their seats to watch from a distance. "Congratulations on making a sibling for Garret, Lyyana and Petra!" Berli shouted before finally leaving the stage.
After Berli, many other guests lined up to shake hands with Lyyana and Petra. Many of them praised Lyyana's beauty and complimented Garret, who looked adorable standing between them. Everyone knew who Garret was, and they were proud of Petra and Lyyana for accepting and caring for him so well.
Lyyana and Petra had been dealing with guests for nearly 6 hours, starting from Petra's colleagues, employees, and also some of their old school friends. There were also guests from Robert and guests from where Lyyana grew up. At exactly 6 o'clock in the evening, Lyyana and Petra left the venue. Tonight, Lyyana would sleep together with Petra, so since morning, Lyyana's personal belongings had been moved to Petra's accommodation.
"Garret, how about sleeping with Grandpa tonight? Grandpa can read you the latest story," Robert coaxed, intentionally wanting Lyyana and Petra to sleep without any obstacles.
"No, uncle, tonight Garret will sleep with us," Lyyana quickly replied.
"Hey, newlyweds can't sleep as a trio," Olive retorted, already changed clothes and joining Lyyana in front of the room where Petra was staying.
"Mama, Garret will sleep with Grandpa only. Dad snores and doesn't want to tell stories!" Garret said, standing in front of Robert.
Lyyana sighed heavily, there was no more reason for her to avoid the first night where she and Petra would sleep in the same bed. "Go rest now, you must be tired," Robert said, waving his hand as if ushering Lyyana and Petra into the building.
Lyyana could only sigh as Garret, Robert, and Olive walked away. A strong arm wrapped around her waist and led Lyyana inside. "Um, Petra, I'll clean up first," Petra nodded, understanding Lyyana's hesitation about sharing a room with him.
While waiting for Lyyana to finish showering, Petra chose to play with his phone and upload their wedding photos. In an instant, the photo he posted received many likes and comments wishing them well, some even expressing envy towards Lyyana for being married to a man like Petra.
"Um, Petra, I've prepared the warm water," Lyyana said as she emerged from the bathroom wearing a kimono towel.
Lyyana felt foolish for not bringing a change of clothes into the bathroom, so she had to use the towel to cover herself. Petra grinned teasingly at Lyyana's appearance, "Are you deliberately teasing me?" Petra said, looking at Lyyana hungrily.
"What, I forgot to bring clothes. Just go shower," Lyyana replied.
"So, can I kiss you after your shower?" Petra asked, planting a sweet kiss on Lyyana's cheek.
"What do you mean?!"
Petra smiled mischievously, then ran and shut the bathroom door, ignoring Lyyana’s playful shouts at her. Lyyana then changed into her usual nightgown. After that, she sat at the vanity and looked at her reflection in the mirror.
Lyyana applied her usual skincare routine, getting so absorbed in it that she didn't notice Petra had come out of the bathroom and was now standing behind her. "Honey," Petra called in his baritone voice.
Lyyana jumped in surprise but then gave a small smile. "What?" She got up from her chair and stood in front of Petra.
Unexpectedly, he lunged at her and hugged her tightly. "Sweetheart, I can't believe this dream has come true. You and I will be together forever."
Lyyana returned Petra's embrace, stroking his back while trying to calm her racing heart. "Me too. I still can't believe I ended up marrying a nerd like you."
"Haha, that was in the past, darling. I'm not a nerd anymore," Petra said, loosening his embrace and gazing intently at Lyyana.
Lyyana raised an eyebrow, as if questioning Petra's words. Without warning, Petra closed the distance between their faces, kissed her forehead, moved to her cheek, and then stopped at her lips. It was a warm, tender kiss. Slowly, Petra guided Lyyana towards the bed and laid her down.
He released his kiss and looked at Lyyana’s dreamy face. "Honey?" he called in a deep voice right in front of her face, his fingers brushing the corner of her lips.
Lyyana took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. After a few seconds of silence, she finally nodded, giving Petra permission to go further. Like a newlywed couple, they kissed passionately, giving in to their desires and touching each other.
It was the first time for both Lyyana and Petra, so neither of them dominated too much. Petra was gentle and careful not to hurt Lyyana, and she didn't complain, only sighing in pleasure at every touch and movement he made. That night, under the sky of their favorite city, Lyyana and Petra poured out their love and satisfaction.
Just like Petra and Lyyana, moans of pleasure could be heard from another room, coming from Benji's room. Somehow, Benji ended up on top of Sarah, making her squirm and moan with delight. “Ahh! Your voice sounds familiar!” Benji said between their activities.
“You remember the woman at Club 88 two years ago, right? Ahh!” Sarah responded with a moan as Benji moved his hips faster.
Benji’s body suddenly stopped moving, his eyes wide with disbelief at Sarah's words. "You’re that woman?" Benji half-shouted, pulling away from her.
Sarah's face showed displeasure, either from feeling empty after Benji withdrew or from his reaction not meeting her expectations. "How could you be here?"
"I'm Lyyana’s friend. Why else would I be here? To see you? Or to demand responsibility for your child?" Sarah retorted, sitting up.
Benji was speechless, memories of the incident two years ago flooding his mind. "Why are you remembering it now? Trying to recall which woman I am?" Sarah taunted as Benji remained silent.
"Two years ago, you took my virginity without a second thought. After satisfying yourself, you left without asking if I was okay, if I enjoyed that hot night, or if I was fine taking care of your child alone."
"Wait, my child? What do you mean?"
Sarah got up from the bed and started picking up her clothes. "Forget it," she said, putting on her scattered underwear.
Benji still sat in silence, admiring Sarah’s beautiful, tempting figure. "Sarah? Is it really you?" he asked, stopping her from putting on her top.
Sarah turned and looked at Benji flatly. "If I say yes, then what?"
"Sarah! Is it really you?" Benji touched Sarah's shoulder and hugged her tightly. "Sarah! I've been looking for you. Where did you go?"
Sarah shrugged her shoulders to break Benji's hold. "When did you look for me? Why? Weren’t you satisfied with the other women who fulfilled your desires?" Sarah continued dressing.
Suddenly, Benji hugged her, trembling and crying in her embrace. Benji had never truly been in a relationship with a woman, using dating only to fill his lonely days. Sarah stood still in Benji's embrace, not knowing what to do. She was happy to meet Benji but also upset because his actions that night had completely changed her life.
Her phone rang suddenly. Sarah pulled away from Benji and reached for her phone in her bag. "Hello."
"..."
"What? Which hospital? I’m on my way!" Sarah abruptly ended the call, hastily dressed, and walked out of Benji's room.
"Wait!" Benji shouted, chasing after Sarah as she quickly left. "Sarah, what’s going on?"
Sarah turned around, her eyes glistening with tears. "Let go, I don't have time for small talk."
Sarah shook off Benji’s hand and walked out of the inn that Lyyana had rented. She waited by the gate for a long time, but no one accepted her online taxi order. Then, a black luxury car pulled up in front of her. "Get in," the man said, stepping out and approaching Sarah.
Sarah hesitated, contemplating her next move. After considering her options, she reluctantly got into the car and directed Benji on the route to the hospital. During the drive, Benji sent a message to Petra, explaining that he had an urgent matter to attend to and wouldn't be able to take him home later.
Three years later…
Three years had passed, and the household of Berli and Denzel had become even more harmonious with the presence of their little angel, born two years ago. They maintained good relations with Lyyana and Petra. Likewise, Benji, Petra's friend, was now married to Sarah after two years of efforts to win her over and raise the child she had given birth to four years ago.
Petra and Lyyana’s household was growing more romantic and harmonious by the day. Their son, Garret, was thriving thanks to Lyyana’s patience and loving nature. This morning, Garret, now eight years old, ran around the house searching for his father, who was in the workout room, shouting, "Dad! Mom isn’t here!"
Garret ran up to his father. "What’s wrong, sweetheart?" Petra asked, approaching Garret.
"Mom’s not here! What about Garret’s little sibling? What if they get lost?"
"Wait, sibling?" Garret clapped his hand over his mouth, realizing he had let slip a secret he wasn't supposed to share. "Garret, what did you just say?"
"Nothing!" Garret yelled as he ran to his room and shut the door tightly.
Petra didn’t stop there; he chased after Garret, who had hidden in his room. The commotion drew Lyyana’s attention. Her fingers were dirty with soil, indicating she had been gardening.
"What’s going on, Petra?"
Petra turned to look at Lyyana, who had been wearing loose dresses for the past few months. "Honey, tell me! Are you pregnant?" Petra asked, ignoring Lyyana’s question.
Lyyana smiled, her cheeks flushing. She nodded shyly. "Just a few weeks, Petra. I haven’t –"
Without another word, Petra rushed to embrace Lyyana tightly, tears of joy streaming down his face. "Thank you, God. After such difficult trials, you now give us endless happiness. I am so grateful for my life," Petra cried in Lyyana’s arms.
"I am so grateful…"
The End.
