Chapter 36 Chapter 0036
•AVELINE•
My head was throbbing when I woke up. It felt like I had been hit by a pass. The hangover was so bad that I felt dizzy for a moment when I tried to sit up on the bed.
I couldn't even remember the last thing I did before I fell asleep. But when I realized that I wasn't in my room, the hangover suddenly lifted.
"Fuck," I muttered when I woke up and saw Dominic standing in front of the mirror near his closet. He was shirtless while fixing his hair.
He had no right to have those abs and broad shoulders. I swallowed when I realized how tempting he looked.
He looked like he had been to the gym every single day of his life.
His head tilted toward me. "You're awake. How was your sleep?"
I rolled my eyes as I got out of his bed and put on my shoes. "You should've taken me to my room. Or better, you should've woken me up when we arrived here. I would've gladly gone to my room."
"Are you always this ungrateful?" he asked as he leaned toward me, bringing that tempting body over to me.
I looked up at him for a moment, fighting the urge to grab him and yank him onto the bed. He was so hot and I felt my pussy throbbing just looking at him.
"Are you always bringing vulnerable girls to sleep in your room so you can jerk off while watching them sleep?" I sneered as I stood up from the bed and looked up at him.
He was tall and I tried by all means not to look down at his abs and the dick print on his pants. He was ridiculously tempting.
"I should take you to your room."
"Don't worry," I said as I grabbed my handbag from the pedestal counter. "I will go there myself."
I headed to the door and stopped when Dominic suddenly strode toward me and stood in front of me.
He leaned closer, towering over me, and I swallowed. I couldn't think straight for a moment.
"Are you going to leave without telling me why you left last night?" he asked.
"You have no right to ask me that after ruining my date with Matteo," I snarled. "You were supposed to stay away from me, just as I am staying away from you and your fiancé. Or have you forgotten that she lives right next door?"
"And yet, you slept soundly in my bed, didn't you?" He smirked. "It seems to me I am not the one cheating."
"Get out of my way, Dominic," I said between clenched teeth. He made me so angry, and I hated that he was able to get into me so easily.
He raised his hands in the air and stepped aside. But when I got to the door and twisted the doorknob, I realized it was locked, and the key wasn't there.
I rolled my eyes and sighed as I turned and looked at him. "Are you playing this game with me?"
"I thought you would be gone by now."
"Where's the key?"
"Oh, that." He smirked as he waved it in the air, and when I tried to reach for it, he slid it inside his boxers. "Take it."
I leaned toward him and exhaled. I wondered what I even saw in him when I bumped into him at Ember's party.
He wasn't my type, but I was so stupid and allowed my anger to take control of me, which made me take irrational decisions, like sleeping with him in the bathroom twice.
"If you won't give me the keys, I will scream and tell the admin that you locked me in your room without my permission, which is exactly what happened."
I gathered all the strength in me as I slid my hand inside his boxers, but I froze when I found him hard. His dick pulsated when my hand brushed against it, and I swallowed hard.
I looked up at him as he licked his lower lip and felt myself losing the remaining strength I thought I possessed.
"Have you found what you're looking for?" he asked as his hand grabbed my neck. He leaned down and pressed his lips against mine.
I pulled away from the kiss and frowned. "I found the keys." I pulled my hand from his pants and walked to the door.
I unlocked the door, tilted my head, and looked at him for a moment before I walked out. I didn't stop until I reached the elevator and got inside.
I leaned against the elevator wall when the doors closed. I placed my hand over my chest, trying to calm my racing heartbeat.
When I reached my floor, I got out and went to my room. I didn't even want to look at Angela. There was nothing she could do, except to stress me.
My cell phone rang when I was about to go to the bathroom and freshen up. I looked at the caller ID and sighed when I saw my father’s name.
I didn't want to talk to him, not after the way he had handled things last night. He made things so much worse than they needed to be because he couldn't wait until he and Evelyn were divorced.
"Hello?" I said after answering his call, rolling my eyes.
"Aveline," my father answered, his voice low. "We need to talk."
"I think we've done enough talking, Dad."
"The Frostbane Alpha will be here to see you tomorrow morning," he replied. "You must come home tonight."
My chest tightened. There was only one Frostbane Alpha, and that was Dominic’s father.
Oh Moon. No. No.
