Chapter 92

Chapter 92
Isabella POV

"Dad, he's not your son," says Kate dryly, but I can see she is close to her dad.
"Oh well. Gabriel is always a son to me! C'mon Gabriel, I'll introduce you to Adams." He laughs and taps Gabriel's shoulder. "Let the girls have their fun."
"Sorry, Uncle Joe, I think I'm going to stay here with Isabella."
I touch Gabriel's army. "It's okay Gabriel. Go with Mr. Dale. I'll wait here," I smile reassuringly at him.
"Hush, Gabriel's girlfriend should call me Uncle Joe like him." Joe laughs, Kate chuckles at his dad.
I smile and nod. "Uncle Joe". In my peripheral vision, I can see Geneva's hateful face. Bitch! Gabriel looks at me and communicates to make sure I'm okay. I nod and he kisses my mouth. "I'll be back as soon as I can," he whispers.
Now it's just Kate, Geneva and I.
"I should say I'm surprised you are still here, Isabella. I expected Gabriel would bring his new woman," Geneva says with her devil voice.
Kate looks at her with disagreement. "Gen... behave!" she hisses.
I chuckle. "Don't do that, Gen. Don't compare what you have with Gabriel and what Gabriel has with me. It's different."
"You think you are that special?" No more smirks. The fangs are out now.
I just shrug.
"Gen, stop it! What is wrong with you?" Kate's tone is rising, but she keeps her lower voice.
"I just don't like her, Kate. She is not like us. She doesn't deserve Gabriel. What does Gabriel look at the woman like her?"
Kate opens her mouth, ready to launch, but I touch her arm. "Kate, it's okay. I can handle this," I smile reassuringly at her.
Kate bites her lower lip as if she is trying to weigh what the best to do. Finally, she nods. "Okay, Izzy. I'm going to find Derek. Come to me later. I'll introduce you to Derek."
I nod. "Sure."
Kate looks at Geneva. "Gen, I expect you to show some respect to my guests. Isabella is my guest. If you offend her, you offend me. You got what I mean?"
Geneva shows her fake smile to Kate. "Of course, Kate."
"I hold on to your words, Gen. I mean it." And off she goes.
Geneva looks at me with disgust on her face. "What now, little bitch? Just because Gabriel is still with you, you are that special? Your time will come when Gabriel throws you like garbage."
I look at Geneva from head to toe. I need to stop her once and for all. I promise myself to do better as Gabriel's girlfriend. I take a deep breath, give her my wintry smile, and take a step forward. Thanks for my height and heels. I'm taller than her, so I can easily intimidate her with my posture.
"Geneva, stop." I chuckle. "You are so desperate for Gabriel's attention, I feel bad for you, to be honest." I shake my head.
"You don't know about me and Gabriel! He—" I cut her. "Last time you told me about your fantasy with Gabriel. Well, this time is my turn to tell you some facts."
Her eyes widened. She doesn't expect me to fight back. You were wrong, girl!
I put myself in smile mode. I don't want anyone to see and gossip about us. Even though Geneva's expression is ready to kill me.
"Gabriel and you went to 4 events together. The first one he went to bed with you." I can feel the bile in my mouth. But I need to continue and shut Geneva's mouth forever. "Don't think too much about that, dear. This is America, not some conventional country. But let's talk about the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dates." I glare at her. Her face is red. I'm not sure whether it is from rage or shame. My bet is on the rage.
"Have you ever asked yourself, Geneva? Why didn't Gabriel go to your bed anymore?" I chuckle. "Let me tell you one thing, Geneva. Gabriel will never be with you, with or without me, in the picture. So just stop. Stop trying to manipulate your mind. For you, Geneva. Not for me."
Her breathing is getting erratic.
"And stop making your own story. You can write a story and ask your dad to make a film of it. But..." I come closer to her and lower my tone, "Stop telling another bullshit to me."
"I flew to Bora—" her voice is lower but shaken angrily.
"Is it comfortable to sit on the company jet, even though you were there with some superstars?" I cut her. She stops at my sudden question. "Because I never sit there. Gabriel and I go on a date in his private jet."
It won't surprise me if, in a few seconds, she scratches my face with her long red nails. I come to her ear. "As Gabriel's girlfriend, I warn you to stop. The next time it won't be this simple, Geneva. And don't use your father's name on me. Because I'm sure if Nancy found out how you treat me, she would be upset with you or even your dad." My voice is so cold.
"Are you threatening me with Nancy's name now?" She aims to look fine, but her voice is shaky. I pull back and stare at her. "No. I'm not threatening you, I'm telling you, Geneva," I say slowly to her. I can see she grinds her teeth.
"Sweetness." Gabriel comes to me. His face worries. He puts his arm around my waist.
"Gabriel, Kate said that she wants us to meet Derek" I smiled at Gabriel. He studies me for a while. "Sure, baby," he finally says.
"It's nice to talk with you, Geneva," I say to her, still with a smile on my mouth. Geneva nods very slightly. I almost miss it. Her face is still grim like she is ready to scream.
Gabriel just nods at her, and we go.
"Is everything good, Sweetness?" Gabriel asks me again once we are far enough from Geneva.
I glance back at Geneva. She's still standing there like a statue. I look back at Gabriel and smile. "It's great. I think it's great.”
