Chapter 832 Admiring Another Man in Front of Your Own Husband—You’re Quite Capable

Chapter 832 Admiring Another Man in Front of Your Own Husband—You’re Quite Capable

William's hectic schedule these past few days had put Thalia in a mood.

And most of her frustration came from Eddy being so hard to handle.

On this trip to Regal City, they didn't bring any servants. Taking care of Eddy on the plane had given her quite a headache.

When William put the child on the bed, Eddy grabbed onto his arm and wouldn't let go.

"I'll come keep you company as soon as I get the kid settled."

Thalia whined, "I don't want him."

"Then what should we do? Throw him away or give him to someone else?"

"Don't you dare!"

William lay on his side on the bed, gently stroking her lower back, smiling faintly. "I wouldn't dare."

"Be good," he leaned down and kissed Thalia's cheek.

A company executive stood outside holding Eddy, frozen in place, unsure whether to go in or not.

Go in? What if he interrupted William and Thalia?

Not go in? Take him back to his own office? That didn't seem right either!

Everyone who passed by asked whose child it was.

He carefully replied, "The boss's son."

People were shocked. They stopped what they were doing and crowded around to look. "No wonder—born to Emerald City's most beautiful woman. At such a young age, if he becomes a playboy later, he could probably charm ten women with one hand."

"Mr. Brown isn't bad-looking either."

"See! The universe always favors the capitalists."

Everyone fell silent.

"So soft and squishy. Let me poke him."

"Don't touch."

Someone was about to reach out but was stopped. When William came out, he saw a crowd gathered at his office door looking at something.

"What are you looking at?"

At the question from behind, the crowd awkwardly scattered.

As they dispersed, he discovered they'd been surrounding his son.

"Mr. Brown, this child..."

"Give him to me," the man held out his hand.

The executive handed Eddy over, inexplicably relieved.

When William returned to the lounge with Eddy, Thalia was already asleep.

So he put Eddy on the office sofa and covered him with his own jacket. Compared to Thalia's comfortable bed, it was somewhat rough.

"Daddy..."

"You're awake?" William had just closed the lounge door and returned to his desk, not yet having sat down, when Eddy rubbed his eyes and sat on the sofa, looking at him groggily.

Eddy reached out his arms and said in a muffled voice, "I want a hug."

William walked over and held him against his shoulder. The brief moment of wakefulness vanished instantly.

He sighed somewhat helplessly and simply sat down at the computer with Eddy, letting the boy sleep against him.

Thalia woke up an hour later.

She opened the lounge door barefoot and saw William holding Eddy while looking at computer files, his fingers occasionally moving across the keyboard, editing something.

"You're awake?"

"Come here," William beckoned for Thalia to come over.

"Didn't I put out slippers for you?"

Thalia's body was ahead but her soul lagged behind, never quite catching up with her walking speed.

She walked to William's side and squatted on the carpet, hugging her knees.

Looking pitiful, like a cat just woken up, dazed and a bit confused.

One day, Amara asked William, "What's it like being a dad?"

William answered, "Spread too thin."

Ordinary men choose between career and family, but he had to choose between his wife and child.

Whether to spoil Thalia or spoil Eddy.

When Eddy was four and a half, Amara fell in love.

Her boyfriend was a university professor in his thirties, refined and elegant, with excellent image and temperament. Exactly the type Thalia had always liked.

When both families had dinner together, the man was completely overshadowed by William's presence—restrained, cautious, unable to relax.

Under the table, Thalia kept nudging him.

She smiled apologetically and explained to the other party, "Mr. Brown just cares about his sister. Please understand."

The other party smiled awkwardly, "I understand, I understand."

The man's parents were both retired Emerald City officials whom William had dealt with before.

Amara had initially asked William about the family background, whether it was legitimate, and what the parents were like.

William had said, "Worth getting to know better."

Only then did Amara decide to date him.

But today...

After seeing the guests off, Thalia turned around and excitedly grabbed Amara's hands. "So handsome, damn! Really easy on the eyes."

"How did you find this hottie?"

Amara didn't dare say a word as Thalia shook her arm.

She looked behind Thalia at William's face... too scary.

"Maybe you should look at your husband's face first?"

"Mommy, Daddy's jealous~~~~ You're in trouble~~~~"

"Get lost," Thalia kicked Eddy to the ground.

Eddy patted his bottom and immediately stood up, taking Amara's hand. "Amara, run."

"Run, run..."

"Very handsome? Really like him?" In the bleak night, Thalia stood in the night wind wrapped in a red coat as William looked at her coldly.

His gaze was even chillier than the cold air.

"I like all pretty things!" Thalia muttered reluctantly as she headed toward the car.

Just as she was about to open the car door, she found it locked. She looked at Amara unhappily. "What are you doing? Open the door."

"Mommy, you have to ride in Daddy's car," Eddy poked his head out from the back seat.

"Eddy, just wait till I get home and strangle you."

Both sets of elders had already left, and Amara had run off with Eddy.

Only the couple remained at the empty hotel entrance.

Thalia forced out a stiff smile.

She reluctantly got into William's car.

Finn drove steadily.

The atmosphere in the back seat heated up.

Occasional moaning sounds came through.

Mottled streetlights fell on them both. Thalia's clothes were disheveled, while William's were intact except for his partially unzipped lower half.

The car stopped gently in the courtyard of Mistwood Hill.

William straightened her clothes for her.

"Get out."

"No, I'm exhausted."

William pinched her waist and questioned, "Still thinking about other men?"

"Stop talking nonsense. I was just admiring his good looks."

William snorted coldly, "Admiring another man right in front of your own husband—you've got some nerve."

"Get up," William pushed her waist with a cold face.

"No." Thalia shamelessly pressed against him. "You sleep with me and then tell me to get up—you're such a jerk."

"You eat what's in your bowl while eyeing what's in the pot—you're no better."

"Well, you're the one who schemed to get me. Don't think I don't know you deliberately came over to take that glass when you knew I'd drugged it."

"Besides, I've already given you a son. You can't escape."

William's heart melted at her coquettish manner, but he deliberately argued with her. "If I wanted to escape, you couldn't stop me."

Thalia sat up abruptly, the movement so sudden that William's heart jumped. He quickly raised his hand to her head to prevent her from hitting it.

"If you dare run away, I'll take your son and dig up your ancestors' graves," Thalia glared at him coquettishly.
